Pleasant accommodations. Friendly staff. Clerk speaks English well. Only odd thing is that reservations for dinner must be made by 10am and there are only two choices. However, the dinner I had was very good.

Very pleasant and well maintained. The room was excellent and the bathroom made to a very high standard. The hotel was very good value for money. A leisurely ten minute walk from the town centre.

Nice and quiet hotel, tasty breakfast and from some rooms you can see the Alps. Too bad the Wi-Fi is very unreliable, making it impossible for me to work.

This is basically an old people's home. Which made it very, very quiet at night. Pleasant welcoming staff though. The wifi in public areas is only 4 mb/s.

Quite superb . Spotlessly clean . Rooms very well appointed . Sauna and swimming pool , which I didn't get to use . A very good breakfast. 10-15 minutes walk to the centre. I will return !

The innkeepers are extremely friendly, the rooms are beautifully designed in a modern country house style and you have a super well-kept dreamlike garden with a swimming pond, loungers and an open garden fireplace for long evenings in summer

We spent a weekend here and were very pleasantly surprised - the hotel is really lovingly run. In particular, the garden is a dream, the breakfast was delicious and the owner gave us a really warm welcome

It is clearly one of the most beautiful guesthouses I've ever stayed in, and I don't think the other highly praised descriptions of others do it justice

With regard to the location, we recommend arriving by car, as it is somewhat more difficult to get to the nearby hiking areas by public transport

Hotel am Wald was a delightful end to our chilly cycle from Munich. The pool/sauna was a pleasant surprise but the true treat was meeting co-owner Elizabeth and her husband Peter

I had the white asparagus and Weiner Schnitzel while Grant enjoyed the home made ravioli. For dessert I devoured the chocolate mousse and Grant had the homemade parfait. The rooms are spacious with a modern bathroom

Our balcony overlooks a local ski hill that still has snow in April. Let's hope we don't have too much snow on our cycle to Salzburg. Thanks again for a great experience Elizabeth and Peter

Only thing that could have improved my stay any further would be air conditioning in the room, it got pretty hot during the night
