The location in the middle of the forest is fantastic. We really liked the great service. The house is clean and the food is fabulous. The head of the house also has exceptional knowledge of the region and can tell you about it perfectly. For trips to Annaberg Buchholz or other well-known places, the hotel manager is available as a taxi. Everything was perfect for us for visiting the Ore Mountains

The staff is very nice and accommodating, especially the Boss exudes a warmth that makes you immediately feel at home. The Hotel is located in a very quiet area in the middle of the forest. Mobile phone reception has not, unfortunately, Internet connectivity (Wi-Fi) is not just the Best. But the me over and over again. The rooms are rustically decorated, very pretty, and very clean. Just a solid place. Clean rooms, good beds, quality breakfast, good local a-la-carte menu. Friendly and helpfull staff. Quier on top of the hill. I don't understand any negative reviews. It's not a 5star hotel so don't have 5star expectations for a 3star room-rate and be fair. I would come back here any time. Do bring your own pillow if you don't like those fluffy ones.

Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage, der Blick über die Stadt ist (besonders in der Weihnachtszeit) wunderschön. Das Personal war super freundlich. Unsere Kinder und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück ist für den Preis einwandfrei, die Auswahl ist reichlich. Sehr zu empfehlen ist der Stadtführer für Kinder mit innen liegender Schatzkarte. I had to go to Annaberg-Buchholz while I was still in Leipzig at 5 p.m. (still a lot of road). I was able to call the manager who agreed to come at 7:30 p.m. to welcome me when the reception schedule was largely exceeded! A fabulous welcome for a Frenchman in the depths of Saxony! Spacious and clean room, excellent breakfast, kind and accommodating manager! I highly recommend !

We were with a group of 8 men and felt very comfortable. The hostel has just reopened. Everything very clean and well-kept. Nice bathrooms, comfortable beds and a sufficient breakfast, what more do you need? Only note: trash cans in the rooms would be great :)

We moved into the Hotel Alt Annaberg for a short vacation and were impressed from the start. The house is very clean and many of the owner's ideas have been tastefully implemented. We have been guests here for many years. Sure, the facility is dated and not the most modern, but everything is sparkling clean and the people who work there are very friendly. But, a small drawback, the bathroom is very small. But the breakfast is excellent.

Went skiing in Oberwiesenthal and stayed at the Hotel Goldene Sonne in Annaberg Buchholz. Had called from the way that it will be later, no problem. Very friendly staff, rooms are very spacious, clean. Dinner was also very tasty, as was breakfast. Especially these great rolls that come from a small private baker.

Very lovingly furnished pension. The family always takes us in like family members, that's how comfortable we have been there for years. Nice conversations and excursion possibilities are discussed together. The pension is not just for railway enthusiasts. Families also feel "clean" at home in the holiday apartments.

Very friendly handling, cozy rooms (an extra plus for the beds) and a perfect environment (toboggan slope is almost behind the house). Unfortunately, only breakfast is currently offered in the hotel (this is plentiful and delicious) and the nearest restaurant is a few minutes' walk away. If you are prepared for it you can experience a perfect vacation. We will be back !

Unfortunately, I only get a short impression, therefore, I can evaluate only a part of it. It was a short trip on the Fichtelberg. From the terrace of the hotel have a very nice view on the Umgebungm there we have a chocolate Cappuccino brought and tasted good. Unfortunately, you had not made the effort to came to the cocoa powder mix to which however, larger lump on one.

I was here on business trip and I have to say lunch was phenomenal especially deserts!, as for rooms they are very simple, nothing fancy, clean and quite. My one problem was the wifi which kept disconnecting and the mobile network also switches back and forth to Czech networks, so overall internet was kind of a hustle for me.

Friendly staff and they speak good english, they answered all my question with 200% patience. Very child friendly place, spacious dining area can accommodate group dining. Clean room, even though it is winter, the room is warm.

For the umpteenth time we were there, from 2.-4.9.16. To recommend for a short break at the weekend, for longer stays, the rooms and bathrooms are simply too small. Hardly storage possibilities in the bath to make the case to the daily "washing bag Tetris". Yes, this is quite funny, but for several days it gets difficult. The kitchen is completely ok and the Service as well, especially Mr. Pohlmann...
