Where to stay in Dueren

Stayed for 1 night, before heading back to the UK. Only booked it on the day - was just looking for somewhere with a car park. Free parking outside but I opted for the secure underground parking - a bit pricey at 25 euros. Lovely room which looked like it had been refurbed recently. Fantastic bar area - great selection of drinks. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel with a best buffet breakfast ever. The room we had, had a shower in the bedroom what means little privacy after you shower. A separate bathroom with toilet would have been better. We stayed for 2 nights and we had to pay €25 a day for parking underneath the hotel, what in my opinion should have been free and a courtesy of the hotel.

We stopped off for one night heading home from a European Road trip. The hotel is modern and stylish in a pleasant location, all staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the breakfast was equally as good with a large selection of food to suit everyone. Highly recommended.

The hotel is in a very nice location and has really great service. I especially write separately about the restaurant section. We could not be more complimentary about this hotel. I/we have been staying periodically over past few years, always on family visits. It is conveniently situated between the train station and 'downtown'. Hotel was a large franchise but was not impressed with our room would prefer a separate bathroom not as part of the living areas. Restaurant staff unfriendly but friendly with German speaking guest. Apart from these two things it was comfortable and the was good.

The new guy Muhammad is very decent guy and he does his work professionally and he has very good communications skills the food and goos all are great and taste just perfect. Very recommend

I was at an wedding event and I didn't sleep there but the first impressions was very good.

The hotel has a new and an old building. I stayed in the new one. The room was good and clean. The breakfast was worth the extra. Something for everybody, hot and cold, was served in the new building.The staff was professional. The restaurant is located in the old building but i haven't had a meal there. I can recommend this hotel.

Just for one night, but surprisingly cosy, great service and menu. And a great terrace for parents with children. We will be back

All dishes were made to perfection. The sliced roast beef is especially good and tender. This restaurant has room for medium to large size groups.

A nice hotel. Clean and orderly. The breakfast is great and the rooms are large and comfortable. There is a small kitchen with a minibar, kettle and sink. The bathroom and shower are a good size. Everything is furnished in a very rustic style, but still looks modern and tasteful. The only thing that should be changed is the bathroom fixtures. The shower head has had its prime. The cables for lamps...

A very cozy hotel with a special design. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. A small tea kitchen belongs to the room. We were able to lock our bicycles safely. The breakfast was varied. If you stay longer, I would make sure to get an apartment with a garden view. Otherwise you look at the parking lot and opposite is a residential building. Blinds prevent people from looking inside.

Little bit awkward not to be able tot speak to someone, but the very nice breakfast made up for that.

We stayed here for one night. Easy accessable from the highway. The staff was very friendly and polite. The sauna has been heated before my arrival on request. Our dog could stay here for an additional small fee. The room was very clean and breakfast was perfect. Also many vegetarian options available. I would stay here definitely again

Situated nearby a bus stop linking it directly to the Düren S-bahn, this hotel is a lovely mix of good service and practicality. The staff itself was welcoming, helpful and multilingual. The rooms were decent but lacked noise insulation however it wasn't really deranging, beds were A-okay. The breakfast was top notch with a wide variety of choices. All in all, i recommend

Lovely stay. We managed to get a room for the night on short notice and it was well worth it. Nice and clean. We had a triple room without toilet and shower however the facilities were literally next to our room. The beds were comfortable with nice clean bed sheets and towels. Excellent breakfast at only 7 euros per person. It was a buffet so you can eat as much as you want. Staff speak fluent English...

A family run house. Friendly rooms, comfortable, clean and well-kept. Three generations manage the hotel! Breakfast is plentiful and guests' wishes are taken into account. Secure parking spaces are available (lockable courtyard). There is also a restaurant in the house. We have been guests there for several years and we feel very comfortable there.

Went here for a family dinner, was blown away by the service and food. Friendly staff and even better food. Located close to fields and great areas to explore! A must visit if in Düren!

Rooms with no AC , just a fan to circulate the hot air , the matress was old and with broken springs , one off the worst nights i had in a long time due to the room being hot and an incredible back pain in the morning. At least the staff is nice and friendly , i fly all over the world working but this is not a hotel i will return

Right off the town centre, a few minutes walk from railway station. Private parking, charged at 12 euros per night. On site restaurant was shut down hence 4 stars.

In the center of Duren w/ free but tight parking space. Hotel clean and comfortable, probably just renovated including bathrooms. Rooms maybe hot during summer. Typical German breakfast. Worth the money.

Unfortunately no parking spaces belonging to the hotel, you have to look for a parking space on the street. The room was a good size, but a bit old. It was clean and nicely furnished. On the first night one of the beds broke, luckily there were only two of us there and there was a third bed in the room. It was okay as a couple for a weekend, but I wouldn't have stayed longer.

Lover of the hotel, the owner is obviously making an effort. Unfortunately unsatisfactory parking situation. A note: if you have to ring the bell, it would be nice if you didn't stand completely outdoors when it rained. A small canopy kept the guest a little dry.

This is probably one of the best hotel experiences I had anywhere in the world. In fact it cannot be called a hotel experience because we felt really at home. I think nothing more to add here. We will definitely be back.

We were there for dinner on Saturday, September 11th, our special requests were met and the service was very friendly. Definitely worth a visit because it is extraordinary and beautiful.

Lovingly furnished and comfortably designed. Both the boss and the staff are very friendly and service-oriented. The kitchen offers fine home-made dishes that are really convincing. Simply delicious 😋 Gladly again and see you next time.

A perfect place to enjoy the rural beauty and peaceful atmosphere of Deutschland near the Belgian boarder. Villa Sophienhöhe had clean clean clean rooms. Both myself and my wife loved the soap In the shower. The coffee was so delicious in the morning I had 3 cups! Also the honey made from the bees that pollinate the small orchard makes a great gift.

Excellent place. Peaceful, quiet and still close to the neighbouring big cities. Many things in this place are in the positive relationship with the nature. And not to forget, the food in the restaurant is delicious ! Also, it is a great venue for smaller celebrations.

Great hotel! The rooms are clean and well furbished. The breakfast is good. However I was most impressed by the service and helpfulness of the staff - you couldn't ask for more or better!

Wonderful cosy hotel! The staff made us feel right at home and the food was delicious. They even noticed that I wasn’t eating the rolls provided at breakfast (because I’m gluten free) and came running to bring some fruit to make sure I had eaten enough. Would recommend!

Really nice and romantic cosy little place. Family run, full of wood and original decorations. In a super charming old house. No elevator but lots of help from the staff. Food was really good, even though not on a gourmet level. We were even allowed to take our desert to our room! All in all a real recommendation for a romantic getaway

Child-friendly, very nice, very good service, large portions, I ate steak myself and the second schnitzel I tasted both very, very good. Wife and child too. There is also a delicious vegetarian menu! It's worth stopping by.

Very lavish menu. Very well prepared Indian dishes. Good and friendly service. Unfortunately, cutbacks in dessert. The chocolate tart that I ordered tasted like meat because it was most likely baked in the oven for various meat dishes. If that is improved there will be 5 stars.

The food was really very good. The portions were also sufficient. The service was very nice and attentive. The waiting times weren't long. On the contrary. The food for our child was way too much. Too much for a child's portion in my opinion. It was a little cold overall. But we would go again.

What a lovely hotel! It feels like a bed and breakfast with the amazing service and friendly staff. Every meal was excellent and the beer, wine, and spirts complimented the meals or very enjoyable on their own. Your not in a city out here, but the rural charm and attractions kept us busy and having fun. I recommend a visit to the Castle Niddegen and a swim at Lago Beach with some cocktails to enjoy...

We had a lovely stay! Everything was great; the food, the people (so friendly) and we got a huge room and is was all clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel and specifically the restaurant was of high quality.

If you stay in Hotel zur Wasserburg you have to visit the castle, it's only a five minute walk. The castle was built in the 14th century and it is surrounded by a beautiful park. Today it's a place to celebrate. You can visit the castle the whole year, but the perfect time is spring.

Hotel is a few kilometres outside of Kerpen and is located in a very dull looking village, but the hotel itself is very pleasant inside. A great overnight stopover. After a long days drive the rooms window shutters provided a complete black-out ensuring areat nights sleep. Really friendly hosts and staff combined with a nice clean, comfortable room with wi-fi. There was a well stocked vending machine...

Loved this place and will return for sure. Soo pretty, so comfortable and very just... friendly. We brought our cat, cat was also very happy with the stay. Definitely pet and child friendly. In the morning after an excellent breakfast we said hi to the horses outside and took a morning walk to watch the castle. I needed this relaxing stay and can recommend a stay in this beautiful region to anyone...

Was charged for 6 breakfasts but it should be free...otherwise very clean very friendly staff will go back if paid back breakfast money.

Clean rooms. Breakfast nice and typical small german hotel breakfast. With bread and plenty of things to put on the bread. A fridge downstairs with some drinks in case you wanted something you could just grab it and write it down on a note what you took if no one was at reception. I love that this is still possible.

Lovely family hotel. We’ve had a comfort room (more than enough space) with balcony and couch. Beds are good. The staff is very attending and nice. Food is excellent (breakfast & dinner). More than enough walking routes near the hotel. You could even drive to a village for site seeing or if you’re interested in WWII.

After our first visit in 2019, we were enthusiastic about the hotel (great service, very clean rooms, very good breakfast). It was also nice that we were able to move our reservation from 2020 to 2022. Everything was great again this year, so we booked again for next year.

Had room 4 on the 1st floor with balcony, room and bathroom clean and tidy, public parking about 50m away and free from 7pm to 9am, breakfast €6, I came after 6pm and was then able to With the help of the telephone and key code and safe check in without any problems, breakfast is available from 6:30 a.m

Stay not the best. Location is really nice. Walking distance to Nice Square with restaurants. Hotel staff could have been friendlier. Room had no airconditioning and had to close windows due to outside noise & thereby room got rather heated, resultingin an uncomfortable night. . No coffee or other in room. No USB connections available. Overall the stay just okay.

Great Breakfast! The 3rd floor rooms are not pleasant because the ceiling slants due to the roof and I have hit my head a dozen times, you need to duck while walking through some of the room. Rooms on other floors seem nice though. Wifi as stated in other reviews is not very good.

Idyllic “Gasthof” with a nice atmosphere, perfect for a quiet relaxing weekend away. When I arrived I has some issues with my booking through Booking.com (which had nothing to do with the gasthof) and my booking didn’t come through. Luckily the room was still available and I was able to book it there on the spot. It’s owned by a friendly and helpful dutch couple which made the communication for me...

We very much enjoyed our stay at Gasthof Burg Hausen. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and made us feel very welcome. Everything was clean, including the shared bathrooms. We enjoyed the breakfast. Guests should be award that the restaurant is not open everyday.

The hotel sits in the town of Schmidt which is very pleasant and quiet. The staff were pleasant , friendly and helpful. The availability of an evening meal was a pleasant surprise and was very good. The breakfast served in the morning was also good with a great selection to choose from. The bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed, a small balcony and a lovely walk in shower.

We stayed for just one night whilst touring, but would have happily stayed longer at this friendly, family run hotel. Being in the small town of Schmidt, it was perfectly situated for exploring the Eifel Forest, with the bonus of some free parking at the rear of the hotel, tucked away from the main road. Excellent service with an authentic attitude of hospitality. Delicious traditional meals, lots to chose from. If I'd live in Nideggen I'd go there every week. One star is missing due to the very strong mix of the Aperol Spritz and the very limited vegetarian options in the main meal section. Thanks for making us feel at home!

We stopped here for dinner after a day at the Rursee in August 2020. Safe the say we had an excellent meal in the beer garden. A really good food menu, and very good portions. Would happily recommend to anyone to stop here for dinner. We had Jägerschnitzel and pork Medallions, both were excellent! Staff we also very friendly. Our dinner for two was around €45 with drinks.

Rather cheap category. Breakfast options could be more plentiful. Rooms on the top floor are to be avoided in summer as they are very warm. But the landlady is nice and tries hard.

I visited the restaurant for the first time. The occasion was a wedding/round birthday. The buffet was very delicious. Could have gone more often, but eventually it was enough. Other guests should also have something. 😉 A very special praise goes to the service. The ladies were more than attentive, friendly and helpful. Whoever wants to convince themselves, do it, it's worth it.

We used this hotel for a two night stop on our way around Northern Europe. On a budget, we used budget hotels. We chose it as it was close to Aachen and its cathedral.
