What a shame our experience in this beautiful town was tainted by our "welcome", not, by the less than hospitable woman on reception. Location in centre of town was great. Shops and restaurants, great. Especially the brewery in the Square.

Nice place for a few nights. Varied continental breakfast.
I personally found the bed too hard and the room was facing the main street so it was noisy.
Room was very clean and smelt good.
The shower screen door was broken but a very clean bathroom.

Stayed here during a bike trip in the Black Forest. It was a great experience, and a fantastic value. Right in the middle of Freudenstadt - what more could you ask for?

Can't beat the location. Room wasn't cleaned when we walked in our room. After one hour it was ok. Breakfast ok, Coffee quality left for much improvement.

We stayed at the Krone Hotel whilst spending a few days in Freudenstadt during our recent trip and found the hotel to be in a perfect location for what we wanted to do. 10 minute walk from the station and located on the perimeter of the town square. Can get a bit if road noise if staying in front facing rooms, but then, that is to be expected and not the fault of the hotel. The owners where very friendly and helpful, even giving us tips on where to visit when we were leaving to travel down to Lake Konstanze. Rooms were fine and clean and breakfast was plentiful with a good selection. Would certainly stay again if ever back in Freudenstadt.
