The hotel is great. A short walk takes you into the forests. The recent refurbish is tip top. The dining area is very nice. Breakfast hit the mark, every morning. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. Evening meals where also very nice. Pool is great for children and the SPA area was very relaxing. We have been here now five times. That must say something. 9/10

The Restaurant had typical local food. They payed extra attention to our needs , since it was my birthday, giving us a nice table with candles and offered champagne from the house. nice modern room with good bathroom / shower, Friendly helpful staff at breakfast and restaurant. Free outside parking and closed garage available ( 4 euro / per night ) , one minus point is that the View is blocked by Trees

Significant money has been spent recently on this place. The dining area is absolutely gorgeous with no expense spared and the breakfast was lovely. The rooms have been tastefully updated to high quality standards and it's a very peaceful setting at night. It's only a 3 or 4 minute drive into the center of town

Although located outside of the town, it is a pretty walkable distance to the town centre (Less than 20 mins depending on how fast you walk) but do note that it's not flat. It's close to a few forest walks, a mini golf course and also on the way to Keinburg. Nice view of the black forest and Freudenstadt. The room we had was quite old school but decent for the price. Hotel Teuchelwald is a wonderful place to stay. It is built on a Hill with greeny Parks and flowers. It has a hot swimming pool. An excellent Kirchen and bar with the best rooms. Perfect place to stay in Freudenstadt.

A great place to stay and to explore the Northern Black Forest. Rooms are large and confortable and the restaurant is superb, really above average. Dishes are well presented an innovative. The hotel is very quiet at night and has no rooms facing the street (almost no traffic at night). You can have lunch until 4p.m. Dogs are allowed (!?)

We did not stay at the hotel but it is a very nice one. We dined at the restaurant. Food and service were excellent. It was very elegant. I would return there again.

We stayed for 10 days in a category E room, very beautiful room and nice view from the big balcony. The breakfast is good, we only had once dinner as we where a bit disappointed. The sauna and swimming pool are great.

We were there in 2013 before our first child was born. We had a great stay! Now, we are going back in 2024 as a family of four and we are really excited it.

Food was unbelievable. Facilities we're amazing. Pool was a refreshing start to the day! Staff we're very friendly. Picturesque location and easy to access via car. A good selection of wines and beers too.

Fantastic hotel, lovely clean rooms. The lady on reception was brilliant a great sense of humor and very efficient. Nice lock up garage for our motorcycles at minimal cost. Food was pretty good. Loved the lift.

This hotel is excellent. Friendly, helpful staff, lovely room and excellent bathroom with top class shower and excellent dinner and breakfast. Also perfectly located for exploring Freudenstadt, with the added bonus of free parking. Highly recommended.

Convenient for the heart of Freudenstadt, comfortable and with some parking available, I have only good things to comment about for this hotel. Owners and staff are very friendly and respectful.

Well presented rooms, bike parking adjacent to the building and felt secure. Centered in the town of Freudenstadt Breakfast as usual was varied and tasty Didnt eat dinner in the restaurant but ventured into the town square where we had an exceptional meal.

Nice place for a few nights. Varied continental breakfast. I personally found the bed too hard and the room was facing the main street so it was noisy. Room was very clean and smelt good. The shower screen door was broken but a very clean bathroom. Nice staff. Good central location

Stayed here during a bike trip in the Black Forest. It was a great experience, and a fantastic value. Right in the middle of Freudenstadt - what more could you ask for?

Can't beat the location. Room wasn't cleaned when we walked in our room. After one hour it was ok. Breakfast ok, Coffee quality left for much improvement.

Quite and peaceful location. Our room overlooking the lake was excellent.

Staff very friendly. The room Size was found in order, only the bed I as too small. The balcony was three rooms are accessible without separation. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, it was awakened by reconstruction measures, at 7.30 am.

We spent 3 wonderful days, the hotel, the restaurant, the spa, the staff, the owners are all at your service. C' was 3 days in paradise. We can only advise this place and enjoy the well being which you invaded. We we will return.

Was driving through the Black Forest when I saw this lodge on the side of the road, just what I was looking for. It turned out to be the best decision I made the whole trip. Great atmosphere, even better food. A 5-star resort tucked away in the hills, a true diamond in the rough.

Tranquility in the midst of the forest and next to a sizable natural pond with swans. Perfect for nature lover and a relaxing stay or to explore the surroundings. Restaurant is great, very nice service and very good food. I had a pleasant stay with my family and ended up extending our stay.

Best place for dinner in southwest Germany. The regional food is exceptionally good and tasty. I haven't been to a better place for this kind of typical regional and unpretentious food. I don't know about the Hotel but the views on the little lake and the setting seems quite idyllic and typical for the National Park of the Black Forest.

Very nice facilities, clean rooms and bathrooms, good room service, and wonderful breakfast! Had to only give 3 stars unfortunately because the beds were so uncomfortable and the pillows were unusable. Just a little update for beds and pillows and I would stay again!

There weren't many good options for an overnight stay in Freudenstadt, so we were happy to find this hotel for the first night of our 3 day/2 night Black Forest tour. Lovely traditional German hotel in the suburbs of Freudenstadt. It had a bath with shower over, which was slippery and rather outdated nowadays. Good underground parking. Large, spacious bedroom - very quiet and comfortable. Excellent fresh breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff, plus a nice free indoor swimming pool. Good value too at around €85 for two including breakfast. I'd be happy to stay here...

It was a wonderful and very relaxing stay with very very friendly staff. The bathrooms are somewhat outdated, but clean and well maintained. We will definitely make again there on vacation.

Situated out of town this is a cheap and cheerful little german hotel. The staff were lovely. They spoke little english but you know what, You're in Germany, get over it and around it. Some might say it needs updating , but i think the 70s look was actually lush. It was super clean and tidy and well appointed rooms. The food was really good and our waiter was amazing. Nice, clean and affordable hotel specially if you get an offer of 2 rooms together. However, WiFi was only available in the reception not inside rooms. It is nice if somebody wants to stay in the middle of the black forest away from noisy cities but it can also feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. However, the nearest town Freudenstadt is not too far.

2 years old in a converted council tower block this is from first appearances turn up and drive away quicker than you arrived, but it was late in the day. This is truly a memorable hotel. funky decor in reception and rooms. massive comfy beds and a whopper of a TV very cool atmospheric lighting free movies and free fridge. no kettle so lucky we had our travelling one and tea bags. free pool tables...

The staffs were super friendly. The hotel was great. German traditional hotel gull of woods, which was pretty amazing. It had a good Restaurant as well. Location was good and surrounded by nature.

Rating only refers to the cafe and the ambience. Just wanted to have a quick coffee after a walk through the village and stopped by the Hotel Cafe Restaurant Zum Kranz. Ambience takes a bit of getting used to. It felt like time had stopped there. Coffee was good and the price was okay too.

A family run place where people are heartily welcome. A good choice of meat but try their typical plates . We all had hirsch and it was really yummy with cranberries and a sort of pasta as side dish. Good choice of dessert but the best was the apple pie.

Nice hotel in a quiet location. Only the church tower is a bit annoying. But earplugs can help. The parking spaces are too small for today's cars. Due to Corona, you have to be prepared for some measures (gloves at breakfast, etc.). Unfortunately, there is also shift work at breakfast and dinner, which limits flexibility. For me, the single rooms (1.98m) have too little length of the beds. Otherwise...

Very pleasant hotel, very friendly, for the carpet, 1 star deduction. Other: Note, important, if you want dinner and don't have a reservation as a hotel guest, you can't eat here. I didn't know that because it isn't written anywhere either. I arrived at 7:30 p.m., so I had to look around first in the closer area.

Friendly and trained staff, excellent dinner when booking half Board, the Breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, large indoor pool, small Sauna. The room was clean, well equipped, but in the direction of the busy Federal road, thus traffic noise with the window open. Very nice and personable hosts. Our room was super clean and that goes for the entire house. Our palates were delighted with the meal and the house dessert was a stunner. The breakfast was also plentiful and after this we were driven to our station to continue walking along the Westweg. Overall a very successful stay :) Thank you very much!

My family and I are returning after Christmas with the family Schmelzle. I opted for the venison medallions with homemade dumplings and cranberries. Absolutely excellent, authentic, and traditional black forest cuisine. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair. Highly recommended.

The reviews and the website promised a little too much. But okay for the price. The facility no longer meets the current standards. The staff all made up for this with their friendliness.

Nestled away from all traffic and surrounded by forest, adorned with a beautiful wooded park that can be enjoyed as well as the 1500m2 of SPA and swimming pool area. A family welcome in all the nobility of the term and a cuisine that is well worth French tables. Amply justified value for money. A great discovery that I recommend.

Excellent Hotel with super rooms, very nice and pleasant Spa area, really friendly staff and children are welcome and can belong after 2 days, almost to the family. Also a great location to the ski lift Kniebis ( about 150m). And the food was really a dream. Since we would like to go again.

Had a wonderful visit to Hotel Lamm. Everything in the hotel is really well executed, amazing room with lots of space and light, really nice spa facilities and pool, great food at breakfast and again at dinner. Really creative, comforting food and a diverse selection each night. Warm and friendly service throughout the hotel, I could not recommend more. Can't wait to visit again.

Would definitely go back. This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at the Lamm, the 2 previous times it was as a couple this time I was a solo traveller. I had a single room and was pleasantly surprised (not having stayed in a single room before) the room had a fridge that came in handy, and a view of the valley from the balcony. The balcony had a seat so could chill out on. The restaurant was fully booked...

Stayed here with my German friend as we were celebrating 50 years of friendship. Beautiful hotel, beautiful location in the heart of the Black Forest. Nice rooms, great amenities, the pool and saunas are very nice, with a nice outdoor relaxing area. The breakfast buffet was superb, traditional German staples with local fare; hams, jams, honey, really top quality. Great central location, easy to visit...

Great location, friendly staff, awesome breakfast. Would be great if the small sauna can be turned on anytime, not just after 11am as we are told.

I worked in the kitchen for a year at the Birkenhof with the Sieber family. Mr. and Mrs. Sieber are very social, nice and competent bosses. The Birkenhof has been beautifully renovated for people with disabilities. I felt like family. I really enjoyed the work. I like to think back to that time. We spent 3 vacations at their place very quiet is very clean half board is the morning buffet a dream the bosses take care of their customers is very warm we lacked nothing but since this year more than very good apartments furnished with breakfast or not to choose if not nothing to say it's great at their place we will go back it's too great

I liked it very much, the Hotel and rooms are very well maintained, it is as far as I could tell everything is barrier-free with Elevator in the house. The Local conditions are good to reach by foot. The Service was absolutely Super. Very attentive and friendly.
