The hotel is great. A short walk takes you into the forests. The recent refurbish is tip top. The dining area is very nice. Breakfast hit the mark, every morning. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. Evening meals where also very nice. Pool is great for children and the SPA area was very relaxing. We have been here now five times. That must say something. 9/10

Very nice hotel, with a friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are big and well decorated with wood. We had a very nice suite with a nice view on the city (Freudenstadt). The Restaurant had typical local food. They payed extra attention to our needs , since it was my birthday, giving us a nice table with candles and offered champagne from the house. nice modern room with good bathroom / shower, Friendly helpful staff at breakfast and restaurant. Free outside parking and closed garage available ( 4 euro / per night ) , one minus point is that the View is blocked by Trees

Significant money has been spent recently on this place. The dining area is absolutely gorgeous with no expense spared and the breakfast was lovely. The rooms have been tastefully updated to high quality standards and it's a very peaceful setting at night. It's only a 3 or 4 minute drive into the center of town

Quite and peaceful location. Our room overlooking the lake was excellent.

Staff very friendly. The room Size was found in order, only the bed I as too small. The balcony was three rooms are accessible without separation. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, it was awakened by reconstruction measures, at 7.30 am.

We spent 3 wonderful days, the hotel, the restaurant, the spa, the staff, the owners are all at your service. C' was 3 days in paradise. We can only advise this place and enjoy the well being which you invaded. We we will return.

Was driving through the Black Forest when I saw this lodge on the side of the road, just what I was looking for. It turned out to be the best decision I made the whole trip. Great atmosphere, even better food. A 5-star resort tucked away in the hills, a true diamond in the rough.

Tranquility in the midst of the forest and next to a sizable natural pond with swans. Perfect for nature lover and a relaxing stay or to explore the surroundings. Restaurant is great, very nice service and very good food. I had a pleasant stay with my family and ended up extending our stay.

Best place for dinner in southwest Germany. The regional food is exceptionally good and tasty. I haven't been to a better place for this kind of typical regional and unpretentious food. I don't know about the Hotel but the views on the little lake and the setting seems quite idyllic and typical for the National Park of the Black Forest.

I did not stay at the hotel, however the restaurant was fabulous. The food was top notch. The service was far beyond typical European venues.

Landed here by chance and very positively surprised. Warm, personal welcome. Of course not the most modern hotel anymore, but very clean and well-kept and at an almost uncomfortably low price. Top service. Eat everything excellent freshness and arranged with love and a perfectly cooked fillet at 9.30pm. Very pleasant hotel, very friendly, for the carpet, 1 star deduction. Other: Note, important, if you want dinner and don't have a reservation as a hotel guest, you can't eat here. I didn't know that because it isn't written anywhere either. I arrived at 7:30 p.m., so I had to look around first in the closer area.

Perfect hotel. Well above most 3* hotels and even cheaper. Great rooms great food and great service.

Schönes Preis Leistungs Niveau. Schöne Extras, wie Hallenbad. Sauna, Wärmekammer, im Preis enthalten. Großes und frisches Frühstücksbuffet. Saunere Zimmer und eine geniale Dusche. Angestellte sind nett und hilfsbereit, aber ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Friendly and trained staff, excellent dinner when booking half Board, the Breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, large indoor pool, small Sauna. The room was clean, well equipped, but in the direction of the busy Federal road, thus traffic noise with the window open. The bathroom was in the 80-years-style, with a bit of funzeliger lighting, but clean. The Hotel has a very good price - performance...

It was a nice hotel with reasonable price in between the mountain with good view. Recommended.

Is very strange to find nice people on Germany and here they were very nice and friendly. Also the room was very nice my only recommendation is to include a fan since the balcony is shared and opening the door maybe is not an option

Nice staff, which responds to the wishes and help. For normal citizens, families and dog lovers is a wonderful Hotel. Particularly nice hotel, we had a great time with family and friends. Very warm welcome and service. Thank you to the whole hotel team !! Lots of little touches and very neat details. Children are well received too.

The reviews and the website promised a little too much. But okay for the price. The facility no longer meets the current standards. The staff all made up for this with their friendliness.

Nestled away from all traffic and surrounded by forest, adorned with a beautiful wooded park that can be enjoyed as well as the 1500m2 of SPA and swimming pool area. A family welcome in all the nobility of the term and a cuisine that is well worth French tables. Amply justified value for money. A great discovery that I recommend.

Excellent Hotel with super rooms, very nice and pleasant Spa area, really friendly staff and children are welcome and can belong after 2 days, almost to the family. Also a great location to the ski lift Kniebis ( about 150m). And the food was really a dream. Since we would like to go again.

Although located outside of the town, it is a pretty walkable distance to the town centre (Less than 20 mins depending on how fast you walk) but do note that it's not flat. It's close to a few forest walks, a mini golf course and also on the way to Keinburg. Nice view of the black forest and Freudenstadt. The room we had was quite old school but decent for the price. A suitable place for retreat days. The external structure is ideal, so that work with content is successful and the recovery phases can also be used.

Hotel Teuchelwald is a wonderful place to stay. It is built on a Hill with greeny Parks and flowers. It has a hot swimming pool. An excellent Kirchen and bar with the best rooms. Perfect place to stay in Freudenstadt.

A great place to stay and to explore the Northern Black Forest. Rooms are large and confortable and the restaurant is superb, really above average. Dishes are well presented an innovative. The hotel is very quiet at night and has no rooms facing the street (almost no traffic at night). You can have lunch until 4p.m. Dogs are allowed (!?)

We did not stay at the hotel but it is a very nice one. We dined at the restaurant. Food and service were excellent. It was very elegant. I would return there again.

We stayed for 10 days in a category E room, very beautiful room and nice view from the big balcony. The breakfast is good, we only had once dinner as we where a bit disappointed. The sauna and swimming pool are great.

We were there in 2013 before our first child was born. We had a great stay! Now, we are going back in 2024 as a family of four and we are really excited it.

Food was unbelievable. Facilities we're amazing. Pool was a refreshing start to the day! Staff we're very friendly. Picturesque location and easy to access via car. A good selection of wines and beers too.

Nice place for a few nights. Varied continental breakfast. I personally found the bed too hard and the room was facing the main street so it was noisy. Room was very clean and smelt good. The shower screen door was broken but a very clean bathroom. Nice staff. Good central location

Stayed here during a bike trip in the Black Forest. It was a great experience, and a fantastic value. Right in the middle of Freudenstadt - what more could you ask for?

Can't beat the location. Room wasn't cleaned when we walked in our room. After one hour it was ok. Breakfast ok, Coffee quality left for much improvement.

Very nice facilities, clean rooms and bathrooms, good room service, and wonderful breakfast! Had to only give 3 stars unfortunately because the beds were so uncomfortable and the pillows were unusable. Just a little update for beds and pillows and I would stay again!

There weren't many good options for an overnight stay in Freudenstadt, so we were happy to find this hotel for the first night of our 3 day/2 night Black Forest tour. Our room was spacious and included a refrigerator, the TV had family friendly channels for our son, the shower was hot with good water pressure, the bed was pretty comfortable, and everything was clean. Lovely traditional German hotel in the suburbs of Freudenstadt. It had a bath with shower over, which was slippery and rather outdated nowadays. Good underground parking. Large, spacious bedroom - very quiet and comfortable. Excellent fresh breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff, plus a nice free indoor swimming pool. Good value too at around €85 for two including breakfast. I'd be happy to stay here...

It was a wonderful and very relaxing stay with very very friendly staff. The bathrooms are somewhat outdated, but clean and well maintained. We will definitely make again there on vacation.
