what a nice place to relax , the SPA is 5 stars and not so expensive.
I 've really enjoyed the place and the very not noisy environment

Nice hotel , in quiet location surrounded by trees, but with good car parking and only 5 mins walk into town.
Room was clean and comfortable with nice touches that many other hotels do not normally provide, like refrigerator in the room, and sufficient wall hooks on the bathroom for towels, wash bags etc. plus drying line in shower for wet swimming costumes.
Breakfast buffet was particularly good with large selection, including cereals with heathy options with and without dried fruit and several milk options like low fat and lactose free. Similarly large selection of breads, fresh fruits and yogurts, cheeses and cold meats, hot selection with 3 types of egg, plus beacon, sausage, and frikadelle, also sweet alternatives such as croissants and pancakes.
Pool and sauna area were also very good with a feeling of quality that looked well maintained. The sauna selection was good with 50, 70, 80 and 90 deg. saunas all clearly marked plus two different steam rooms, a plunge pool, different shower options, foot bathes, and several different quiet areas.
Only down side was Friedrichroda itself, which has very limited section of restaurant alternatives if you want something other than traditional hearty fried brauhaus food.

Plus: good location, beautiful hiking trails around, nice pool and sauna, good breakfast, clean rooms. Enough parking space. Gluten-free bread was available upon request for the breakfast. Nice personnel.
Minus: A bit old fashioned rooms, no kettle to make a tea. I missed a small refriegerator too. Allergy info was not available in the buffet.

The hotel staff were excellent, very helpful and incredibly polite. The room we had was larger than others as we had a balcony, but it was one of the biggest rooms I had ever been in. Most hotels have a cook, judging by the meals served here, they have a Chef, a very very good one. The Gym has some decent equipment, but lacks some up to date nautilus equipment and has absolutely no free weights, so any upper body workouts are nearly impossible.

A clean and comfortable hotel with spacious rooms adequately equipped. Superb choice of food at breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing break or in need of somewhere to stay if away on business.

Great place, very quiet. Located in between several forest covered hills it overlooks the quaint hamlet of Friedrichsroda. So far no alligators or yetis detected on the premises.

We had en perfect week at this H+ hotel Ramada. The personell was very friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable. And in comparison with the Ahorn hotel on the hill a haven of peace and quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Friendly staff and great breakfast. Very accommodating to English speaking guests.
