Where to stay in Gaienhofen

Nice hotel. Bike can be parked on the terras of the room. Next to the nature reserve. A lot of effort for the environment. Food in the hotel is ok.

A quiet small hotel located close to the Konstantz see. Prices are too expensive for what you get - a room with no ac. Way to the see is not close like it seemed and the crue does not speak English though in the site it's written they speak.

The location was just fantastic!! Just over the lake and also the facilities: sauna and swimming pool were very good 👍. Children play area also very good. We had free drinking water provided daily both still and sparkling.

We were at this hotel for a conference. It is in a cosy location, right on Lake Bodensee. We had a huge room with lots of space. Unfortunately, the conference rooms are very old. Apart from that, everything is fine. I can only recommend it.

Recommend for families with kids, they have a nice playroom with tons of toys, outside playground nearby, and a small park on a lake. Lovely!)

Beautiful old and new architecture mix! The hotel with its charming and large garden sits directly at the lake and has its own ship entrance. Childfriendly atmosphere and good food! Great indoor pool and spa offers. Good for ship, bike and hiking trips, beautiful nature surrounding area. Close to Stein am Rhein and Rheinfall.

Modern furnished and tasteful apartments with a view of a small, newly created apple orchard with seating for the residents. The facility is located away from Gaienhofen in Horn on the mountain in a new building area, a car is essential. Super equipped and nice and cool with the air conditioning in summer. The bathroom and the fully equipped kitchen are particularly good. The "Samba Staircase" is a little bit adventurous and can easily hurt yourself. The star deduction is there for the fact that there is no pool and a table tennis table, you can expect that in this price range. All in all, it is very recommendable.

The apartments are very modern equipped - even with air conditioning - very high standard. Defects: Too few and too narrow parking spaces. In addition, a few basic things are missing, such as a table tennis table. A small pool would also be desirable in this price range.

Very friendly and welcoming host who spoke great english and provided us with a tasty breakfast. A bright and spacious room with a lake view still felt very cosy. Excellent location. Private space to store our bikes.

A super rich breakfast everything regional - should be something from - you could always ask! Everything very clean !!!! Room, bathroom very clean! Hygiene very good! Very rural and familiar. The location is quiet, the owner very nice and talkative. He and his help fairy have done everything to make us feel good. The only minor drawback are relatively thin walls, so that you could hear the neighbors' children. At the lovely breakfast there is a small bread basket with a wide variety of bread and rolls in the morning and a small buffet with cold cuts, spreads, yoghurt...

Spent a weekend here and absolutely loved it! Really easy to find by car, but you're also able to reach plenty of great places on foot. Stunning lakeside location with comfy benches for relaxing by the water. There's also a huge grassy area for lounging or playing sports, plus a pool table. We spent a weekend with my husband in the Guesthouse and we really enjoyed it. The location is great, we reached a lot of amazing places just walking and the view of the rooms to the lake is an spectacle. The breakfast is delicious and the team running the place is super friendly and open to help if you need anything. We are looking forward to be back the next season !

Lovely quiet area by the lake, with easy parking. Owner is very accomodating and friendly. Rooms are spacious and bunk beds very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was always great, with a variety of options to suit everyone's tastes. Closest ferry was a 25 min walk or a 5 min drive. Area close to the ferry has all the amenities one may need. Highly recommended.

A quiet little place backing onto THE PARK AND THE LAKE.. The afternoon drinks with a light menu in the courtyard overlooking the lake was perfect prior heading off for dinner. Our host was welcoming and ensuring we had all we needed. Breakfast was simple but had all we needed.

Just the right place if you are looking for rest, Reflection and recreation.Very tastefully decorated rooms and a fantastic view on the lake of Constance. Also, the stay-and the Breakfast room invites you to linger.Culinary delights and very friendly staff. My husband and I have felt in the case of Mr. Koegel very well and be sure to come back!

Neat rooms, friendly staff, attractively decorated. Breakfast was good but could be better. Why are meat products only replenished when they are really finished and eggs too, only they have to be cooked first so that takes a while!

The hotel was unexpectedly good. We had a small room for one night, but everything was nicely done and clean. The breakfast was excellent with a large selection. The only drawback was the many gnats!

Our office had organised a Christmas party here. The dinner theme was "Krimi Dinner". Two people enacted four characters. In between the scenes, food was served. Even vegetarian food was served and it tasted very well. I would recommend it!

The NaturFreundehaus Bodensee is located in Markelfingen and is right by the lake. On a sunny day (especially when school holidays are taking place) it can become quite full, so I would recommend you come with a bike or so. The parking lot can become quite full. The NaturFreundehaus offers two big houses to rent for parties and events, one for bigger groups and one for smaller groups. Their service...

Fast check in, nice clean modern room, great choice of continental style breakfast, no fuss Wi-Fi connection, perfect for your business trip, but I would also have no problem staying here for a long weekend as the location is ideal.

We didnt actually stay here, but arrived at 5pm and they had no rooms, the lady on reception went out of her way ringing other hotels to find us a room, so for that its 4 stars.

This hotel is near to Bahnhof and opposite to rhine river... staff is very nice and can easily communicate in German and English. Price is on fine range and there is also Minibar available in the room. The breakfast has enough options. Very nice hotel, comfortable bed, good location for biking tours. Spa is enjoyable, especially japanese pool. The waiters at breakfast and dinner were well skilled and pleasant, however swimming pool staff need to improve hospitality and communication skills. Overall, hotel is to be recommended.

Best bed I’ve never seen in a hotel. Very nice terraces and beautiful hall. Cocktails at the bar were exquisite. But, the near village looks like an old DDR city and the bathrooms are not bathrooms (the shower and the toilets have their own separate micro-rooms, very uncomfortable). Nowack

The place is located about 20mins walk from the Radolfzell train station (convenient enough walk during the day). Truth be told, I wasn’t aware that it would be the most expensive hotel in town. It is probably that way probably because of the spa etc. it has to offer. The reason for my visit was purely business (with a company in town), so the amenities the hotel has to offer was not important to me...

Nice, modern hotel with an attached restaurant where breakfast is served in the morning. The hotel is located directly at the train station. With the window closed, the trains could not be heard. The lakeshore is just a few minutes' walk away. The on-site team is very friendly and courteous and responded quickly to my emails when I made the booking.

Super friendly receptionist. A modern and comfortable hotel, the room had a huge shower and was squeaky clean. There are locked boxes for the bicycles. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed for two days during the main season.

The double room/apartment is very nicely furnished. There is a large bathroom, small kitchenette and even a small balcony. We were received very friendly. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and is beautifully prepared. The location is of course also great, almost directly at the train station. We will definitely be back and can definitely recommend it.

We really enjoyed our short vacation. The room (actually a small apartment) is very tastefully and comfortably furnished including a balcony and fridge. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very friendly. There was nothing missing. The house is only a few meters away from the lake and the train station and with the guest card you can travel to Konstanz and Engen for free. We'd love to come...
