We went there the first time in quite some time. Both had the full menu + wine journey (pick it if you get the chance, it really lifts the whole evening to another experience).
All the courses were delicious and came with perfectly selected wine (and in one case Sherry). Service was spot on, for me exactly the amount of attentivness to the guest. So, we'll be back for sure.

Very friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. The menu was excellent. Refills were no problem. The wines on offer were a great accompaniment to the fine dishes. The outside was also very attractive. The well-heated room was a nice comfort at this time of year. The ability to simply take the bus (38) into the centre of Basel was an added incentive.

The best local cuisine! The Michelin star is fully deserved, both in terms of cuisine and service. The wine cellar fulfills every wish, in a word, everything is excellent!

The food and service were excellent. The different dishes were incredibly well seasoned, and you get combinations and flavours that you wouldn’t normally be aware of. Visually, of course, it was also excellent. The service was very friendly and attentive! What I also liked was the distance between the tables and the noise level, which allowed for good conversation even at a normal volume. The evening was a success. Thanks

(Dutch-Netherlands) Hotel Das Eckert is a great hotel. In our case, we chose the hotel for an overnight stay during our return trip from Italy to Belgium. From the first meeting with the staff at the reception, you feel like a customer: professional, neat and very friendly. The room was great (not very big, but big enough and very comfortable) with a small terrace on the ground floor. The bathroom is top-notch and in good condition. And then I have to talk about the breakfast. We have been to many hotels and almost nowhere could compare with the breakfast at Das Eckert. The hotel restaurant is a first-class restaurant (recommended by Michelin). Accordingly, the prices on the menu. Since we were just passing by, the prices on the menu were not suitable for us.

Excellent value for money upscale dining option within a 15-minute drive from Basel city center. Awaiting the summer to try the beautiful Terrasse

The Restaurant is very expensive for the experience. Basically Swiss prices. Also a Rivera del Duero cost minimum 150€ and Up!

The restaurant is great. The food was amazing, very interesting combinations of flavors, truly exceptional. Very kind and pleasant staff. I highly recommend this restaurant.

2 days here, and it was good.. what i like here is they have "lachs" for breakfast and also fresh scramble egg.

We had a fabulous stay at The Eckert. Our room was fabulous, lovely and clean. We were near to the little pool, which I would have loved to have had time to use as it looked great. There was a lovely garden area to relax in, too.
All the staff here were lovely and made us very welcome.
The breakfast is very tasty with lots of choice.
You can get to anywhere using The Eckert as a base because the local transport is excellent, so France, Switzerland and Germany all on your doorstep.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
