Best Western Hotel Dreiländerbrücke / Basel

Was denied later check-out, even I have their "Diamond Select" member. First, one guy said "we can give you two extra hours without extra fees", next morning other said one hour... pathetic.
Apparently, I missed the moment when 4 star BW Hotels started to act like cheap, low-cost motels, but I guess extra 20 Eur is a good price for own reputation.

I recently stayed at this Hotel from. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing due to severe issues with cleanliness and customer service.

During my stay, I discovered bedbugs in my room. This is unacceptable and created a very uncomfortable and unhygienic environment. When I reported this issue to the reception, I was met with indifference and a lack of assistance. The staff did not offer a solution or even an apology, which added to my frustration.

Overall, my stay was far from pleasant. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone due to the bedbug problem and the unhelpful attitude of the reception staff.

People at the reception are very unpleasant and racist towards those who don't speak German, an hour long conversation with them at the reception, they kept telling me you're in Germany, you have to speak German! Very disappointed! Would not recommend! Ruined my vacation.

I stayed at Hotel Dreiländerbrücke & Hotel Maximilian for some time and unfortunately, my experience was marred by repeated incidents of racism and disrespect from the staff.

On June, 09.2024 , I was treated in a racially insensitive manner by the front desk staff. So racist and disrespectful that I can’t even write it here. This was not an isolated incident, as I encountered similar disrespect on multiple occasions.

Despite bringing these issues to the attention of the management, including Hotel Manger Stefan Falb, I was deeply disappointed by their reaction. The manager not only failed to address the behavior appropriately but also appeared to side with the employees, was telling me “there are many other Hotels, find another Hotel” dismissing my concerns without taking any meaningful action.

These experiences left me feeling marginalized, disrespected, and unwelcome during my stay. It is disheartening to see such behavior go unaddressed, especially in a hospitality setting where inclusivity and respect should be paramount.

I strongly urge the management to undertake comprehensive training for their staff on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ensuring that all guests are treated with respect and dignity is essential for providing a welcoming environment.

Due to these deeply troubling experiences, I cannot recommend this Hotel to others. I hope that my feedback will prompt the management to take immediate and concrete steps to prevent such incidents in the future.
