I liked the tastefully renovated old premises. The room was spacious and very comfortable. It’s an interesting hotel with a history and has its own special charm. The breakfast was excellent, a huge choice of everything, fresh veggies and fruit.
I love the style of the hotel and the staff is very friendly. The bed is a little bit noisy and the walls are somewhat thin but that is not a problem. The breakfast buffet is very delicious, a lot of choice and also healthy options. We also fancied the bar, many choices for good drinks.
The hotel is ok, a bit old but it has some “charm”. Don’t expect luxury but beds are good. DO NOT dine here. For the first time in my life I had to send the meal back to the kitchen. It was inedible.
Interesting hotel main building with period decor, even a suit of armour! Rooms are in a modern wing and are good. Service is very good. Food is good but if you are a vegetarian, like me, be aware there are only 2 choices so if you stay 3 days or more..... Also no restaurant or bar service from 10am to 5pm. No lunch or coffee - you must get in your car and look elsewhere. Pool closed for maintenance...
It is a beautiful old hotel, one time it was a grand luxurious hotel but it has lost its shine a bit due to maintenance issues but nothing some handy work can't fix. it's old glory can been seen all around, beautiful marmer floors, extremely detailed decorated walls and ceilings, you will not find this anywhere else. Convenient but a little tired.
I appreciate how clean and quiet this place is, and that it has good internet as well as a comfy bed and a spacious room. The location is also great in walkable distance from the rail station and city dentre near to the places where I needed to be.

First: We didn't stay there (unfortunately)... If the rooms are only half as comfortable as the dining room, you can only give 5 stars ☺️ We stopped in there and enjoyed Bergische waffles and apple strudel! For me one of the best country inns in Germany. My room, the location, the architecture, the outdoor area, the great kitchen and the excellent breakfast: everything was 1A. But I would particularly like to highlight the sovereign, competent and authentically friendly staff. I felt extremely comfortable here. M.E. 5 stars are not enough.

Our stay at "Zum Schwanen" was amazing! The huge free parking just a few steps away on Schwanenplatz was a great convenience. The staff was incredibly helpful, and Christian went above and beyond, accommodating our special requests and providing extra storage for our equipment. Super nice guy and great chef!

Nice hotel. The only drawback is the waiter who is not present all the time: if you arrive early, you will have to call him by phone.

A lot about this hotel is very nice - the breakfast and the wellness area for example. They are perfect also for the price. Some of the staff are also very nice, some are not very friendly or observing the wish for privacy in the rooms. The setting within nature is very pretty. We will come back.
It is a good place for conferences/ retreats especially nice during summer. There is a hiking trail nearby and makes you feel closer to nature. The approach road is narrow so heavy vehicles like buses will not be able to reach. The walking distance from main roads is about 1km.
Rooms and service were great, though English speaking servers were not very common. Location is extremely secluded, and the cellular and wifi services were nearly unusable. Front desk also did not carry razor blades for shaving.
I was here for a 2 day training . I shared a double room with my wife on the last floor . The hotel is located in a really idyllic place, you drive on a narrow road through the forest and then at some point this very big Castle like structure .
Very good location of hotel, nice nature around it, good and bequem room and kind service, good breakfast.
Incredible beautiful view in the summer on the terrace. The desserts and drinks are delicious. From our side, when the weather is nice is always worth a visit

This seems to be a relatively new place directly next to the Atterhöhle-cave. It has modern conference facilities, a decent restaurant especially for buffets, very spacious and modern rooms as well as a bowling alley. The only downside was that they had to close the outdoor terrace at 10pm despite no real neighbors next door. Otherwise highly recommended
The landscaping and architecture are most impressive. The hospitality was charming and the staff were kind and helpful.

The property was admittedly further out from Cologne than we initially thought but the hotel itself was fantastic with a rail service and bus service bringing you straight to the front entrance. Should have taken more care in investigating. There was no restaurant and no air conditioning which is fine if you are expecting it. Reception was pretty good although the language was limited. But basically it boils down to me not taking enough care to choose properly.
Das Personal ist so super freundlich, sowas hab ich eigentlich noch nie erlebt und ich reise sehr viel. Nach einem langen, anstrengen Tag wollten wir eigentich nur noch etwas essen und ins Bett. Die liebe Dame an der Rezeption hat für uns den Pizzadienst angerufen, uns Teller und Besteck zur Verfügung gestellt. Ganz ganz lieb. Für unsere Hunde war eine Decke und Napf bereitgestellt.
Everything was very clean. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. They had drinks available for normal prices. The woman working the front desk and the breakfast in the morning was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend. I want it. Only complaint was that the room was kind of cold and the beds were a little uncomfortable but the pillows and blankets were very nice.
If life takes you to Bergisch Gladbach, then this is an excellent place to stay. Lovely rooms (some with French doors/terrace), very well appointed, comfortable beds, great breakfast, and a friendly and helpful welcome. One of the nicer small hotels I've stayed in.

Because I couldn't book a room in Cologne during the Cologne Game Show, I booked this hotel. It's in the small town of Bensberg, about 30 minutes by taxi from Cologne Train Station, which is a bit far. But the hotel is very comfortable, with a beautiful environment, and there are gardens in front and back, suitable for family vacations.
