Wyndham Garden Gummersbach

I liked the tastefully renovated old premises. The room was spacious and very comfortable. It’s an interesting hotel with a history and has its own special charm. The breakfast was excellent, a huge choice of everything, fresh veggies and fruit.

The hotel is ok, a bit old but it has some “charm”. Don’t expect luxury but beds are good. DO NOT dine here. For the first time in my life I had to send the meal back to the kitchen. It was inedible.

My girlfriend and I wanted to treat ourselves to a Spa weekend and were for the first Time in this Hotel. To me, the ancient atmosphere was much appreciated, with its many hidden rooms very good, also the Park and especially the chapel, are very beautiful. The room was large and clean with a small Safe and a balcony. The food was excellent and the wine very tasty.

The reason why I only got three stars forgive the Wellness area. I was looking forward so much to it, but the Pool was really cool and in the small Sauna, the shower did not work, so you first had to back into the bathing area to take a shower there.

I had booked a beauty treatment with Facials, manicure and pedicure. The manicure (natural nail) was the worst manicure I've ever experienced. The Gel is totally applied unevenly and much too thick, the white French Manicure line was a disgrace and the nails over were actually already on the second day of it, so I must now wait until everything is grown out. Shame about the money:-( The other treatments were not much better.

Conclusion: nice Hotel, but as a Wellness Hotel not to be recommended!

Addendum: I just received a call from Nea Nemada and I get the money for the manicure will be refunded. It makes me very happy that these people cared about the satisfaction of your customers and that speaks very much for this house:-) thanks!

Sorry, there are no four-star....
This historical-style Hotel is quite nice, however, it is the claim of a Four-star hotel, unfortunately not. To mention are the beautiful garden, the swimming pool, free Parking and friendly Service. However, the furniture came extremely in the years, doors are totally outdated and need to close leaks, very nice room. In the bathroom the water fall taps for use...Beauty / Massage Service permanently not occupied...menu Sunday night is radically reduced...Sauna, opening Hours from 17 o'clock??? Rooms at the arrival at 16 o'clock still not ready....No fridge...If that is really a 4-star Wyndham is the default????

The Hotel itself is quite nice. To the extent that it is maintained, but in need of renovation, Breakfast buffet was excellent something for everyone and fresh.
Staff ( if you get it to face) was also friendly.

The Spa area I can only say that it is a joke. Pity about the beautiful money.
The Pool is smaller than on photos. With relaxation it had to do anything there. As a beautiful soundscape, with a permanent loud noise like a vacuum cleaner. Also the Pool area could as well as be well-kept!

To the massage and beauty area...
We booked for our arrival day for a Massage plus. the free voucher for 20min. Massage or 20min cosmetics..
As we came to the reception of the Spa area there was no one. The other 3 not Visit.
Then after one more attempt, just before the beginning of our treatment, we encountered the Boss. This told us with a smile we can't, today, have the 1 week of booked date. You have not sent us a day before our arrival, a text message, which was not the case. Only one call came in, but when you recall, no one went to it.
So we made another appointment for the following day for cosmetics and Massage. The appointment was nowhere to be registered, and we were told it would only work with a collaborator on the next day.
We then visited the Sauna, we have noticed how a other employee for 2 customers our appointments for the following day. We then described how we had already in the said period, the dates. The staff member seemed very friendly and apologized, but had no Authority made to enter the dates in the calendar. Only after 3 times to ask and Remind you to do this, please, you did it. In the evening we received a call to my room from the Spa Manager. It your guidance would be there would be again a misunderstanding of the other fellow member and put the appointments and the treatments again.

The treatments were bad. Trained or Certified seems to be none. The booked beauty treatment seemed to be more likely to wirkürlich. The good lady seemed to have much idea. There is no skin analysis, no face decolletage and shoulder massage which was included in the package. A deep cleaning was as little. Apart from that, this is a "scrub" with a pretty musty and smelly scrub brush and seemingly cheap lotions are used is carried out. She seemed well on the run to be as fast and in a hurry, you distributed the Lotion in my face.

The Massage was a big disappointment. Could be chosen to be booked for a partner massage where, optionally, Aroma, Hot Stone classic and cupping glass treatment.
Were not asked, we are not what we wanted, although as I have mentioned before the treatment. The Oil would simply be worn on the skin without looking whether the Oil has the proper temperature. It stank and was musty, Only a associate asked if I back pain. The colleague, my friend, this question seemed to be treated well as to keep unnecessary. A Massage this was not safe. Just a RUB with Oil. Shoulder and neck are not touched at all. Stroke unit, this would have taken.

Conclusion:

For a Wellness weekend this Hotel is not Recommend. Since there is no Qualified or Trained people to Work.
