Right near the Austrian border, and the feet of Germany’s highest mountain (just under 3 km) the “Zugspitse”, this chalet is a magnificent place to stay.
Very friendly and helpful people, very nice (and very clean) rooms with excellent beds and nice bathroom. Good pricing and an excellent restaurant ( managed by a different owner ) is literally next door.

An ideal hotel for a night or two when exploring Füssen and visiting Neuschwanstein. Staff and owner were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and there was plenty of parking onsite. The restaurant was closed when we were there unfortunately but breakfast was included.

We wanted to see Neuschwanstein Castle during our time in Germany, so we decided to stay at Alpchalet Schwanstein for the weekend.
It was such a wonderful experience! The hotel was quaint and charming. Our rooms were lovely and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the balcony with a view is something we will always remember. Try to wake up for sunrise if you can, it was extraordinary!
The staff was very kind and accommodating. We loved the breakfast, as it was the perfect fuel for a big day of sightseeing. Also, if you have time to check out the restaurant connected to the hotel for dinner, it is cozy and delicious!
All in all, we loved Alpchalet Schwanstein and would feel happy to recommend it to future travelers!

Deer was really good. Meat was melting in the mouth. Portions are big. A bit pricey. There are much cheaper restarts in the area.

Great place to stay for time in Fussen and Schwangau.
Simple rooms, comfortable stay, traditional European breakfast, GREAT food at restaurant.
Would recommend and return.

Great place to stay!
My wife and I with another couple got rooms at the Alpchalet during their off season. I booked the rooms on Expedia. I couldnt have picked a better place to stay if I had to.
Check in was super easy. We arrived at the hotel around 2pm. The keys were waiting for us on the check in counter with our names on them.
Took the dog and our bags to the rooms. The room was clean and inviting. Small European style bathroom as you come in the door. The king size bed was inviting. We left the dog at the room and ventured to the castles just a short drive away. After dinner we came back to the rooms, had some time to relax on the balcony, then ready for sleep.
The king bed was a split twin, which is common in Europe. Comfortable with the extra pillow that was provided. We slept great. In the morning we took showers and went downstairs for the breakfast that was included in our stay. We were greated by the hosts. European style continental breakfast with meats, cheese and breads. The food was good and the coffee was great.
At check out we had to pay the city taxes and that was all.
The host was very nice and sincerely grateful for our business. I would absolutely recommend this place and would stay here again.

The location was great. Plenty close enough to the castles and easy to navigate to. The room was spotless. Plenty of privacy and no noise. The hostess was delightful and provided a great breakfast with fresh cooked eggs and the normal continental breakfast items. The bathroom was plenty large enough and not cramped like some European hotel rooms. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful surroundings. Nice and cosy, we'll furnished rooms. Very relaxing atmosphere. The manager is superb! Though he is like a one man show, he's still very helpful to his customers. I'd like to come again and stay longer.
