Stayed there in August 2024. Too high price for a room without air-conditioning. If the swimming pool is not of interest for u, this hotel might not be the 1st option. Food @ restaurant is not at the expected level, neither service even if guys are doing their best. Same for the reception desk, too long waiting queue. Maybe a better balance at winter time? It was a great hotel to spend quality time with friends and family. Close to tourists attractions with a wonderful view of Alps. Nice breakfast. Staffs are very nice and you feel like you’re visiting your nice aunt who lives in Fussen. Clean and cosy like a home. They have soft and alcoholic drinks with some snacks with a reasonable price for the nights you want to chill.

I will obviously go there again! That explains how great my stay there was. The place is about 7 minutes ascending walk away from the nearest bus stop. The bus goes to Fussen hbf from there. Alpchalet Schwanstein Located in the small town of Halfrech, it is a family hotel in a log cabin, a ten-minute drive from Neuschwanstein Castle. The surrounding scenery is pleasant. The proprietress is actually from Wuxi. I didn't expect to meet a fellow countryman in this remote area of ​​Germany (Wuxi is also considered a fellow countryman). It was a pleasant conversation! Right near the Austrian border, and the feet of Germany’s highest mountain (just under 3 km) the “Zugspitse”, this chalet is a magnificent place to stay. Very friendly and helpful people, very nice (and very clean) rooms with excellent beds and nice bathroom. Good pricing and an excellent restaurant ( managed by a different owner ) is literally next door.

The location is amazing. Quiet, near the lake and not far away from Schwangau. Near you can find a pony farm and buy local food from farmers. The room is clean, service 5+, breakfast is really good. A little bonus, there is a small kitchen, so if you need to cook something it's really easy.

Large clean room with large bathroom. Nice staff. Nice location. Only negative was no extra blanket in the room. We like to sleep with the room cool, so the 2 twin size blankets (1 for each of us) left us a bit cool.

The hotel is located right next to the Forggensee. Some rooms offer a view over the lake, but some don't. The rooms themselves were very tidy and spacious, though a bit old-fashioned. There is a restaurant that serves local dishes and drinks. The outdoor seating is quite limited for a hotel this big. The breakfast buffet was located indoors, but I found it pretty basic and unsophisticated.

The apartment is new and clean. The beds are very comfortable and the linen and the towels are of high quality. The kitchen is small but very well equipped. We spent nice time on the terrace that was heading towards the park. Many activities close by.

We arrived late in the afternoon and the staff recognize me as soon as I talk to her. They have private parking place and offer free parking. The room is clean and comfort to stay. Very nice breakfast and the staff is super nice and warm. We also tried their sauna and have good rest after a long day in Neuschwanstein. I specifically chose this place for my stay during an weekend as it was closer to St Coloman, where I planned for a morning Photography session. I am very glad that I chose this hotel for my visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. We stayed in the best room of this hotel with a balcony and a view of the castle right from the bed. This makes the trip even more romantic and truly special. The hotel staff is also very friendly.

This was one of our favorite hotels on our European trip. Just what we wanted for German style and ambience. There are only 2-3 short-term parking spaces at the main entrance on Kreuzweg. The large, free main car park is somewhat inconspicuously signposted: access shortly beforehand via Alten Schwinkelweg, then turn left at the intersection of Kröb/Kreuzweg/Tassiloweg. Beautiful hotel with excellent service. The view is amazing. I fully recommend this hotel. There are castles few minutes away that are must to visit and learn more about the history and the culture. The view on the Alps is surreal.

Beautiful location for relaxation or fitness. The choice is yours. The staff make you feel valued and special. The resort is outstanding for accommodation restaurant, sauna, swimming and exercise programs. I have visited 4 times and have enjoyed it so much every time.

I had seen this hotel hundreds of times so we decided to stay here this time for our week in Schwangau. It definitely didn’t disappoint. We booked three standard rooms at a very reasonable rate and we were largely very happy. Very nice hotel in the small town of Schwangau. Very friendly staff. If you arrive by bus, there is a bus stop just across the street. My only complaint is, since there is no air conditioning (normal for Europe) I slept with the windows open and I could here patrons at the small Italian restaurant across the street on their patio as late as 02:00 (2:00am)

Our second stay at Rübezahl. The atmosphere, the attention to detail, the staff, the food and the spa were excellent the first time. This time they were even better! The views of, and the walking in, the foothills of the Alps are tremendous. A wonderful, relaxing stay - we will return.

I visited for four days at the beginning of November with my wife and two adults daughters. We found the hotel very comfortable, the staff very nice, and the food excellent. I highly recommend the hotel as a base for days visiting Neuschwanstein Linderhof, and Fussel. Unfortunately, our guide at Neuschwanstein was very robotic, but that was not the hotel's fault.
