Talk about personality! This hotel has tons of it! Friendly and social hosts and basic but nice rooms. Each room has a sci-fi/fantasy theme. Nice location with possibility for a nice morning run :-). We had a lovely week at Dormio Eifeler Tor. The park itself is well maintained, has a nice pool to cool off on hotter days and also a good selection of bakery items / coffee to go for the mornings, making for a comfortable stay. For kids - ours range in age from 0 to 7 - there is plenty to do even though the park is on the small side. We made good use of the pool, the soccer cage and the two playgrounds...

All in all, quite ok experience, mainly the location, the house itself, the things to do in the resort and in the surroundings, but also quite some things to improve: - Internet quality is completely unacceptable for year 2025, having to reconnect every few minutes and then still not able to load much - The pools could use a couple of extra slides or toys for the kids, one small waterslide for 4 pools...

Great resort on the outskirts of Heimbach, with an amazing view over Hasenfeld village. Great base for cyclist ready to do some climbing (❤️ climbs to Mariawald, Schmidt, and Kermeter). The resort is very kid friendly, which, unfortunately, led us to wake up every morning around 5 AM due to crying babies 🤣. Supermarket on premises was OK, better to go to supermarkets in Hasenfeld.

The location ist very nice. A big downside for families with kids is that many guests park their cars all day and night in front of the guest houses, although this is officially not allowed. But there seems to be no enforcement of car parking rules, thus nobody makes sure, that cars stop at the houses only for un/loading and are driven to the big parking space across the road.

An excellent hotel with all the amenities you could wish for. The restaurant was obviously very well liked in the village as most patrons seemed local - always a good sign! Their sun terrace was marred a bit by the digging work being done in the streams just beneath. Pure and undistilled pampering. A fine selection of drinks, gregarious waiting staff and mouthwatering seasonal dishes that are fresh and house-made served in a cosy setting. I came here expecting good food but my expectations were surpassed by a wide margin. 10/10 would go again.

Best dinner we had during our stay in Eiffel, sitting in the evening sun on their terrace. I would recommend Iberico pork chops with caramelised onion and rosmary potatoes. But everything that came past us looked really good, and a bit more polished than most restaurants in the surrounding.

We had a lovely meal at Friedrichs restaurant but I cannot comment on the hotel facilities. The hotel is situated overlooking a stream. Its such a picturesque location food good too. You can eat inside which is good if you dont want the attack of the flies whilst being outside. This happened as soon as the food appeared and spoiled the ambience for me.

The surrounding area is perfect for nature=lovers. We enjoyed the day we spent locally and found the staff at the grocery store and pharmacy to be very nice even though we don't speak German. The time we spent in this property was great, the staff were very helpful, welcoming, and friendly, the peoperty itself was well maintained and provides all what you need during your stay. The area around is great and you can go to the nearby cities in short time if you have a car, which is recommended to enjoy your time.

Had a nice time using this as our home base while doing day trips in the area. The unit was very clean with a perfect kitchen set up. We had a 1 bedroom unit with a pull out couch for the kids. Parking was easy every day. Check in / Check out was extremely easy.

The hill is real and BIG. The closest public transport is a bus at the bottom of the hill and a train station (Kall) 30 minutes away. Get your Translate app ready cause very few people in town know english! Not ideal for a no-car trip but if you’re determined and patient enough you can get by with no car.

Unfortunately visited during the Corona period, so I couldn't get a real impression. The single room was small but very practical with a large desk and plenty of storage space. Restaurant and wellness is closed. But there are tickets for the food delivery and cutlery and glasses are ready.

Lovely family hotel. We’ve had a comfort room (more than enough space) with balcony and couch. Beds are good. The staff is very attending and nice. Food is excellent (breakfast & dinner). More than enough walking routes near the hotel. You could even drive to a village for site seeing or if you’re interested in WWII.

FC lost to BMG, but the restaurant can't do that. Was there as a tourist and found the location very comfortable. It's probably more of a local meeting point, but if you're nearby, you can have a cold drink with a clear conscience. Beer garden available. Didn't eat any warm food, so no idea what the kitchen is like.

I was at an wedding event and I didn't sleep there but the first impressions was very good.

The hotel has a new and an old building. I stayed in the new one. The room was good and clean. The breakfast was worth the extra. Something for everybody, hot and cold, was served in the new building.The staff was professional. The restaurant is located in the old building but i haven't had a meal there. I can recommend this hotel.

A very cozy hotel with a special design. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. A small tea kitchen belongs to the room. We were able to lock our bicycles safely. The breakfast was varied. If you stay longer, I would make sure to get an apartment with a garden view. Otherwise you look at the parking lot and opposite is a residential building. Blinds prevent people from looking inside.

Stayed for 1 night, before heading back to the UK. Only booked it on the day - was just looking for somewhere with a car park. Free parking outside but I opted for the secure underground parking - a bit pricey at 25 euros. Lovely room which looked like it had been refurbed recently. Fantastic bar area - great selection of drinks. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel with a best buffet breakfast ever. The room we had, had a shower in the bedroom what means little privacy after you shower. A separate bathroom with toilet would have been better. We stayed for 2 nights and we had to pay €25 a day for parking underneath the hotel, what in my opinion should have been free and a courtesy of the hotel.

We stopped off for one night heading home from a European Road trip. The hotel is modern and stylish in a pleasant location, all staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the breakfast was equally as good with a large selection of food to suit everyone. Highly recommended.

Hotel was a large franchise but was not impressed with our room would prefer a separate bathroom not as part of the living areas. Restaurant staff unfriendly but friendly with German speaking guest. Apart from these two things it was comfortable and the was good.

Rooms with no AC , just a fan to circulate the hot air , the matress was old and with broken springs , one off the worst nights i had in a long time due to the room being hot and an incredible back pain in the morning. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. Even before you get to the restaurant, the beauty of the building will take your breath away. A large house of beautiful cobblestones with wooden logs holding up the roof and walls. Stunning. The service is lovely, proactive and knows what you want before you know it. And the food... is to die for. An absolute must-to-visit if you are in the area.

Excellent place. Rooms we're very nicely furbished, clean and comfortable. The TV was a bit old, so a bit difficult to operate. High qualitiy food, with enough to chose from, even if it was a bit expensive. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location excellent for an evening walk. Very nice hotel with lots of parking places, I could park my motorcycle in a garage. The hotel has a very nice terras, not too big but good and clean rooms, a bit hot in summer times (no airco). Hotel seems well maintained. Staff was kind and food and drinks good. Hotel is just in between Vicht and Zweifall. We did an evening walk to Zweifall and back, very nice 1 hour walk. Haus Stehlings probably has the best view of any accommodation in Monschau. Make sure you book a river view room though (Rurzimmer). A nice quiet house. Centrally located, we walked to the old town in a short time. The breakfast has everything you need. The service is exceptionally friendly. The rooms are adequately equipped. The bathroom is well furnished and spacious.

A hotel run by a very friendly lady who constantly takes care of her guests. The breakfast is excellent, served at the table and leaves nothing to be desired. The rooms are functionally furnished, it is very clean. Apart from the breakfast room there are no other areas - no bar where you can have a drink in the evening.

If you are looking for a fancy and modern 4-Star hotel, this is not the place for you. Artistic rooms full of paintings and many designs which was different to me and I liked it. However, in terms of amenities and cleanliness it is 4 star. Staff is super friendly and the hotel is closer to the Euskirchen city center. They have a sauna, a gym and a laundry service.

Excellent location not far from the motorway but in a traditional setting. Spacious,clean and comfortable accommodation, friendly staff. The restaurant was closed ( for holidays we thought) but a nearby pizzeria resolved the problem . Breakfast in the hotel was excellent.

Very cosy Hotel - excellent service and a very good restaurant - we enjoyed a very well prepared dinner. The winecard also present German wines - which was highly appreciated. The breakfast is good and you can be served a very nice egg fresh from the farm. A nice stay.

Even if the restaurant is no longer open (anymore?), it is still a question of service to organize something for hungry guests from biking, hiking or similar - even if it is just a table reservation. Especially when a lot of things are closed...

The rooms here aren't super comfortable but the staff is nice and they have a lovely breakfast area and the breakfast they serve is actually very good. I really liked the scrambled eggs and the cheese selection.

Hotell Finkenberg is on the outskirts of the small town of Blankenheim and provides decent time for a decent price, and includes a nice breakfast.
