Talk about personality! This hotel has tons of it! Friendly and social hosts and basic but nice rooms. Each room has a sci-fi/fantasy theme. Nice location with possibility for a nice morning run :-). We were made to feel welcome from the very beginning. It is clearly a very well run family hotel. We were able to check in early and were allocated a parking space, despite not booking one. Very nice owner, clean rooms and a rich breakfast. The hotel is on the "main street", but it is very quiet. Parking spaces are available in front of the house and on the street.

We were there for the weekend. A small hotel centrally located in Heimbach. The equipment is practical and always very clean. We felt comfortable, even if the rooms were a bit old. The breakfast is varied, adequate and delicious. We will be back.

We were kind skeptical due to all the bad reviews, but decided to give it a go. We were very surprised. Yes, the rooms are a bit old (and so is the hotel), but it a was very clean and comfortable. The hotel owner is extremely kind and helpful. No bad words for that man at all. The location is amazing. I would recommend it.

I stayed here for one night. It is advantageous in the sense that it is close to all touristic areas (by car). I enjoyed the balcony especially in the morning! The receptionist guy was very nice and informative.

A small hotel in the village. Rooms quite large and comfortable with a balcony. Although the hotel is not new, it is kept clean and the rooms refreshed. There is free WiFi, You can buy the possibility of using a small cramped kitchen max for 3 people. Internal parking for 10-15 cars.

Owners are very nice and helpful. Room had bathroom with shower, balcony and free wi-fi. All clean. Breakfast was awesome as well.

All in all, quite ok experience, mainly the location, the house itself, the things to do in the resort and in the surroundings, but also quite some things to improve: - Internet quality is completely unacceptable for year 2025, having to reconnect every few minutes and then still not able to load much - The pools could use a couple of extra slides or toys for the kids, one small waterslide for 4 pools...

Great resort on the outskirts of Heimbach, with an amazing view over Hasenfeld village. Great base for cyclist ready to do some climbing (❤️ climbs to Mariawald, Schmidt, and Kermeter). The resort is very kid friendly, which, unfortunately, led us to wake up every morning around 5 AM due to crying babies 🤣. Supermarket on premises was OK, better to go to supermarkets in Hasenfeld.

The location ist very nice. A big downside for families with kids is that many guests park their cars all day and night in front of the guest houses, although this is officially not allowed. But there seems to be no enforcement of car parking rules, thus nobody makes sure, that cars stop at the houses only for un/loading and are driven to the big parking space across the road.

There was some confusion when we arrived We arrived late, so there was a bit of waiting to get the directions cleared, but once we got into contact with the reception by phone, things were sorted out. Idyllic “Gasthof” with a nice atmosphere, perfect for a quiet relaxing weekend away. When I arrived I has some issues with my booking through Booking.com (which had nothing to do with the gasthof) and my booking didn’t come through. Best place to stay in Germany, very nice people, place and food!!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Gasthof Burg Hausen. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and made us feel very welcome. Everything was clean, including the shared bathrooms. We enjoyed the breakfast. Guests should be award that the restaurant is not open everyday.

Very nice place with friendly staff and decent traditional local food. The garden outside is just awesome, just under the trees and with a playground few meters away, so families can enjoy food and drinks while kids have their fun

Excellent service with an authentic attitude of hospitality. Delicious traditional meals, lots to chose from. If I'd live in Nideggen I'd go there every week. One star is missing due to the very strong mix of the Aperol Spritz and the very limited vegetarian options in the main meal section. Thanks for making us feel at home!

We stopped here for dinner after a day at the Rursee in August 2020. Safe the say we had an excellent meal in the beer garden. A really good food menu, and very good portions. Would happily recommend to anyone to stop here for dinner. We had Jägerschnitzel and pork Medallions, both were excellent! Staff we also very friendly. Our dinner for two was around €45 with drinks.

Best trout that my wife has ever eaten and my schnitzel with asparagus was also excellent.

What a lovely hotel! It feels like a bed and breakfast with the amazing service and friendly staff. Every meal was excellent and the beer, wine, and spirts complimented the meals or very enjoyable on their own. Your not in a city out here, but the rural charm and attractions kept us busy and having fun. I recommend a visit to the Castle Niddegen and a swim at Lago Beach with some cocktails to enjoy...

I was here with colleagues for a multi-day team meeting. The rooms are bright, super clean and extremely comfortable for a hostel. Everything is newly renovated. The food was good and our requests were very well catered for.

We were traveling in the Eifel for a few days and stayed at this youth hostel. The location is great, the rooms are hotel standard, the breakfast is great and the staff are very friendly and dedicated. The playground has a climbing frame that magically attracts the children, In the evening there is even a small "bistro" with pizza, tarte flambée and drinks, so that you can easily eat in the youth...

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautifully clean, the owner has focused on a simple, fresh decor. Our room had an extended view over the countryside which could be enjoyed from the balcony. We enjoyed a good dinner with good portions and a well stocked salad bar. The duvets were lovely and soft and the breakfast great.

Nice little cozy restaurant with a wide range of food that also tastes wonderful, I've always had the pleasure of trying others. The innkeepers are very nice and you are greeted very warmly and it doesn't matter how you're dressed because we work nearby and usually still have our work clothes on. We love going here and can only recommend it, thank you

Wonderful cosy hotel! The staff made us feel right at home and the food was delicious. They even noticed that I wasn’t eating the rolls provided at breakfast (because I’m gluten free) and came running to bring some fruit to make sure I had eaten enough. Would recommend!

Really nice and romantic cosy little place. Family run, full of wood and original decorations. In a super charming old house. No elevator but lots of help from the staff. Food was really good, even though not on a gourmet level. We were even allowed to take our desert to our room! All in all a real recommendation for a romantic getaway

Me and my friend were stuck with our bikes in the middle of a storm in Gemund and they were so nice to open up a room for us. We even got to put our bikes away safely. The rooms are clean and the bed felt amazing after our camping nights. The hosts are super nice and despite the language barrier they were most helpful. Also, the breakfast is great! Corona proof and still able to make you feel at home

What a pleasant stay my family and I (5 in total) had in our spacious family room. Excellent atmosphere, friendly and professional staff and management. The restaurant is run very well (great meals), and the cleanliness in the hotel and allround is superb. Compliments to Heinz and his staff! :)

An excellent hotel with all the amenities you could wish for. The restaurant was obviously very well liked in the village as most patrons seemed local - always a good sign! Their sun terrace was marred a bit by the digging work being done in the streams just beneath. That didn't stop me from spotting both a heron and a couple of kingfishers just a few metres from where I was dining! The room was modern...

Pure and undistilled pampering. A fine selection of drinks, gregarious waiting staff and mouthwatering seasonal dishes that are fresh and house-made served in a cosy setting. I came here expecting good food but my expectations were surpassed by a wide margin. 10/10 would go again.

Best dinner we had during our stay in Eiffel, sitting in the evening sun on their terrace. I would recommend Iberico pork chops with caramelised onion and rosmary potatoes. But everything that came past us looked really good, and a bit more polished than most restaurants in the surrounding.

We had a lovely meal at Friedrichs restaurant but I cannot comment on the hotel facilities. The hotel is situated overlooking a stream. Its such a picturesque location food good too. You can eat inside which is good if you dont want the attack of the flies whilst being outside. This happened as soon as the food appeared and spoiled the ambience for me.

This hotel is tip top and a real pleasure to stay at , I stayed here for two nights and found it to be very comfortable, clean and welcoming. We arrived yesterday and are in apartment 333, the same apartment as a previous reviewer. Clearly, the apartment has been upgraded as the furniture is fresh with no signs of being old and worn. There are no signs of 40+ years of previous cooking (as per another reviewer). So far impressions are positive. The view from our room/bed was amazing - Directly to the lake. The staff in the kitchen was very friendly and provided extra/different food for my dietary limitation (just let them know in advance).

This conditorei offers wide range of home made cakes that makes it difficult to choose from. My choice "Baumkuchen Mokkatorte" tasted dilicious as did the choices of my companions. The place offers friendly personell and a lovely view on the Ruhrsee. Highly recommended.

We have been there for a cup of coffee after a wonderful boat trip on the lake. Location and lake view was excellent, also young ladies served us with smiling faces made us happy. Coffee and cakes were delicious.

The personnel is OK, but to get a small lunch it took 1 hour and a half. And the place was not really filled with people. So, keep it in mind if you want to have a fast meal, look for somewhere else.

Good place if you're looking to stay in the area. Houses are OK. Although some more cleaning would be needed. The place is located closed to the lake and closed to highway and local transportation. Great place if you want to rest for some days and hace some walk around the area.

This is probably one of the best hotel experiences I had anywhere in the world. In fact it cannot be called a hotel experience because we felt really at home. I think nothing more to add here. We will definitely be back.
