The location ist very nice. A big downside for families with kids is that many guests park their cars all day and night in front of the guest houses, although this is officially not allowed. But there seems to be no enforcement of car parking rules, thus nobody makes sure, that cars stop at the houses only for un/loading and are driven to the big parking space across the road.

All in all, quite ok experience, mainly the location, the house itself, the things to do in the resort and in the surroundings, but also quite some things to improve:
- Internet quality is completely unacceptable for year 2025, having to reconnect every few minutes and then still not able to load much
- The pools could use a couple of extra slides or toys for the kids, one small waterslide for 4 pools is not enough. Also way too many teenagers misbehaving and no supervision from anyone
- A lot of the villas seem to be rented by big groups of friends (older teenagers/young adults), this is not something we expect to see in a family oriented holiday park and does not really create the vibe we were expecting
- The food in the restaurants is ok, but the service is really poor
- Last but not least, a technicians minivan blocking the road for 15 min when you need to leave with a car full of kids (with the very unfriendly attitude that "I don't care, I need to fix something, so you just have to wait") is not contributing in leaving the resort with the most positive impression.

Great resort on the outskirts of Heimbach, with an amazing view over Hasenfeld village. Great base for cyclist ready to do some climbing (❤️ climbs to Mariawald, Schmidt, and Kermeter). The resort is very kid friendly, which, unfortunately, led us to wake up every morning around 5 AM due to crying babies 🤣. Supermarket on premises was OK, better to go to supermarkets in Hasenfeld.

We had an amazing experience in this resort.
There was some confusion when we arrived
We arrived late, so there was a bit of waiting to get the directions cleared, but once we got into contact with the reception by phone, things were sorted out. It would have been better to have personnel at the desk at all times, but that's the system they applied. The houses are situated on a hill, so the drove down and up can be challenging if you're not used to it, but it is definitely part of the charm.
The houses are big and there is enough space for 2 families the least. The view is beautiful and it's so peaceful. Great facilities and walking routes in the area to visit the village in the valley. There is a big lake nearby, and the valley has a beautiful castle. It's definitely worth a visit and great for families with small children and even teenagers.

The location is hugged by mountains, giving a breath taking view from the balcony. The apartment is plenty of space, with bedrooms and a bathtub.
Kitchen is equipped with plenty of glassware and tableware. It is a dishwasher and they give you a few tablets to use. The stove is large, and the pans and pots are enough to make a good meal. The kitchen is with a kettle, coffee pot, coffee machine and a toaster.
We appreciate the large sitting area and dining table.

Great view of the Rur-river valley and an excellent starting point for exploring the nearby hiking and biking trails. There are two restaurants and a small supermarket on the premises, as well as e-bikes for rent. Mind that due to being situated on a slope the roads are rather steep.

Very nice and quiet Resort. We had a fantastic Penthouse Suite with lots of room for a great price. We'll be going there again for sure.

23/04/2022. There was an annoying 'guard' stopping our pizza party, with the argument that it is an 'open fire', while it's actually a portable pizza oven (fully closed) on butane, that we were using on our terrace. Nothing 'open' to it. The guy also stalks around the park in the evening and at night and if there is too much noise, even just loud laughing inside of the house, he will ring the door bell. Thus, the houses seem very badly isolated. Not recommended for groups of friends looking for a party of some sorts. Other then that, we had a nice stay.

Everything is nice and we'll layed out. Kids can have great time here. People who are interested in trekking and cycling will have good time here.
The only restaurant which is inside the resort is not good. Food is pretty average except for the pizza.
If you go to this resort in winter, you will have a hard time keeping the home warm. The heating Equipments can't handle the large space.
