The walk into the city was a bit long, but the old town with all its beautiful facades made up for it. It had a pleasant atmosphere.

Das Essen war eine 10/10. Wirklich lecker und abwechslungsreich. Die Zimmer waren für einen Kurzaufenthalt vollkommen ausreichend.

Ich war bereits 2mal hier, jeweils als Geschäftsreisender. Es ist aber sicher auch für den Urlaub mit der Familie zu empfehlen. Essen und Wellness Angebot top. Personal sehr freundlich, die Ausstattung super. Probiert es selbst!

Das Komplettangebot überzeugt. Das Hotel bietet alles für einen Aufenthalt über ein paar Tage. All inklusive ist sehr gut, Essen abwechslungsreich, Getränke vielfältig. Sport und Wellness alles gut. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend ist das Personal.

Die Auswahl am Buffet war großartig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

The rooms are simple, but spacious and very clean. (Large bathroom adapted for handicapped people) Exceptional staff, always kind and helpful. Breakfast ok. Dinner offered (!) from Monday to Thursday (10€ if you have à visitor). Simple but tasty. Not too far from the centre, tram stop right outside.

The hotel makes a good impression and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, the rooms leave a lot to be desired.

Very good hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. Although the furniture is fully functional, it could be invested in a new and modern one, because it reminds of the times from the previous state. Accommodation prices are roughly the same as in the city center, although the hotel is a few kilometers away from the center. Meals are big and of high quality.

It was beautiful with an amazing ambience and drinks. The service staff is excellent.

We spent another weekend at this hotel and were once again very satisfied. The rooms are spacious and clean. They have everything you need. The staff is very friendly. It exceeded expectations for a budget hotel. Staff interaction was always friendly. The room was clean. It was odd that there was no refrigerator in the room. Our large bed was simply two single beds pushed together. There was no attempt to bridge the gap between the beds with some sort of connector. I stayed multiple times and the room type was different each time. The mini bar in the business room is free. But in other room types, you still need to ask the front desk if the mini bar is free. The breakfast is quite rich.

I appreciated the quick service. The dinner menu was well balanced and delicious. I ordered the salmon- so well done, maybe a little less spinach ? The breakfast bar was sufficient and organized well. Again, the service was really fantastic! thanks!

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was good, with fresh fruit (orange, pineapple, grapefruit, and melon). The decor is dated and quite worn, but everything is well-maintained and clean.

The hotel was very good, we have no comments about that, we also found it very nice that we could order a complete meal late at night. In short, everyone in the hotel did their best to please us. A downside is the connection to public transport to the center, that could have been better.. If we are in the area, Best Western will definitely be considered again Freundliche Grüße,

Receptionist was quite nice. The room was furnished with furniture from the 80s and 90s. Instead of a queen bed, there were two single beds in the room. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Hair and fingerprints and even urine stains on the toilet.

Amazing hotel in a great location in downtown Jena. I travel a lot and had some of the best sleep ever in this hotel. The breakfast is awesome and at a terrific price. I was pleasantly surprised to find three kinds of gluten free bread here, something unprecedented anywhere. They also have a decent restaurant that serves dinner. Good bar and in the city centre.

I have been a guest of this hotel for around hundred nights in total. I believe it is the best hotel in Jena for a business trip or to visit the town. I prefer to have a room with a balcony and many times they have been able to give me one of these rooms. Also, I really like the breakfast and the omelette that is especially prepared for me in the morning.

A modern looking, spacious hotel with a moonlight bar restaurant that comes with a complimentary drink (or beer). Breakfast is simple, but acceptable. Very centrally located, next to shopping centre. Currently undergoing minor renovation, luckily no noise. Have new sofa during the stay here! Recommend to come again.

I spent a night here during a conference. The interior of the hotel was being renovated, so the construction work started at 08:00 in the morning. Stayed there for a week on a business trip. Didn't like the fact that the staff enters the room In your absence and messes with your personal stuff. For example if you don't put away your toiletries, they will disappear

My wife and I spent two nights at the hotel while attending a conference. Our room was elegant and comfortable (and equipped with a great balcony) and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel had inexpensive paid parking that allows you to come and go at your convenience. Next time I am in Jena, I will definitely stay here again.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and everything is perfect! The room was clean, the bathroom was also clean, with white towels, The bed was comfortable! Excellent breakfasts! Wonderful staff at the reception. I'm grateful to the ladies at the reception desk for helping me with my wet clothes after the rain. I hope to stay at your hotel next time too!

Great hotel for a great price. Clean, modern, well equipped. Quadruple room was great for us and our two kids. Would love to have parking better marked as well as signs at the back entrance. We arrived after dark and it was a bit uncomfortable driving around back of the building, but once we found our way it was just fine. Would certainly stay here again!

Very clean, spacious rooms. All in good working order. No bath towels, just a couple of hand towels and bath mats for two days, but timings made asking reception challenging...they may be available. Breakfast is basic, but good. A kettle In the room would have been useful. Excellent value for money and happy to recommend and return.

I stayed at this hotel during my business visit around Christmas time. Visited Christmas market nearby. The view from the hotel room was amazing. Room is quite modern with all the latest gadgets and electrical control of ambience light and blinds. Staff was friendly at reception and at the terrace bar. This is probably the Best hotel in Jena.

Personeel is friendly, but the hotel is missing for example a trashcan in the room. Ibis shoot look more at the details of what a traveler needs during corona.

No frills room with a basic breakfast. Convenient to shops and restaurants. Can be a bit noisy at night and early morning if your window is open and your room faces the street. I stay here for a week or two at a time and enjoy it. Hotel is clean and well maintained.

The room was good, the wifi speed was good too. This was the first German hotel I went to so I dont have a good comparison. But considering the price I felt the overall experience was a bit sub par. This was my experience as we came in at a very odd time and stayed for a short period. So you experience will greatly differ.

The hotel was ok. Facilities were limited, like no plug for electricity near the bed or soap was empty in wc. There were a hair on the soap in the shower. I would expect better quality for thr price they offered.

A cozy hotel in a quiet location on the edge of the forest. Rooms are very well equipped. The breakfast is rich and leaves nothing to be desired. The fruit salad made from fresh ingredients is a morning delight, not to mention the Thuringian plum jam.

The old brewery is a beautiful, cozy location for events of all kinds. As locals of Jena, we like to come here for special lunches or dinners with friends and family. The Papiermühle doesn't just offer its own beers and liqueurs, but also traditional and local cuisine. It is definitely one of the best places to eat in Jena.

Very nice and cosy guest house very close to the city center. The twin room was comfortable. Breakfast was good and the owners were always ready to help.

Comfortable, cosily yet a little old fashioned decorated. The double bed had two separate mattresses though, which made cuddling quite a challenge.
