Good place to stay, very nice and helpful staff. Reception open 24 hours. Comfortable rooms, big parking outside hotel. Recommended

Lovely hotel. Food is brilliant. Beer great. A bit of a hike into Jena, although there is a bus service.

Grrat location in the heart of Jena within walking distance to shops and trams. The checkin process was easy and service sufficient. The room was nice with two twin beds pushed together. Beds and bedding were comfortable. Bathroom was clean and had quality soaps. The towels and toilet paper were both rough and not soft. The hair dryer had a stickiness to it when there was humidity from the shower....

Nice rooms, nice environment, amazing staff. Not just the front desk, but thought the hotel. The staff is polite, always smile, and perform their duties pleasantly and appropriately. Also, they are all well spoken in English, and were patient with all the questions I've had.

the place is suitably located in the Center with big parking place.The bedrooms are comfortable but beds could be larger(wider). Staff is kind and friendly. Breakfast had a variety of drinks and food staff suitably assorted with fruits.

It was really great to check in even with the reception closed. Unfortunately the check in was a little big unclear how it worked. Took me 15 minutes 🙈 But the rest was good. And still waiting for the invoice.

Das Essen war eine 10/10. Wirklich lecker und abwechslungsreich. Die Zimmer waren für einen Kurzaufenthalt vollkommen ausreichend.

Ich war bereits 2mal hier, jeweils als Geschäftsreisender. Es ist aber sicher auch für den Urlaub mit der Familie zu empfehlen. Essen und Wellness Angebot top. Personal sehr freundlich, die Ausstattung super. Probiert es selbst!

Das Komplettangebot überzeugt. Das Hotel bietet alles für einen Aufenthalt über ein paar Tage. All inklusive ist sehr gut, Essen abwechslungsreich, Getränke vielfältig. Sport und Wellness alles gut. Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend ist das Personal.

The staff was very friendly and the sport facilities are a big plus, even though I imagine they were built in the early 90s and not much renovated since. The rooms are relatively spartan, but with lots of wooden elements added, which I liked. There was a dinner buffet at 25 Euros, but I arrived 20 minutes before it closed at 21, and was offered to fill a large plate at 12 Euros which was a nice gesture...

Relaxation is the game here with all the sports you may need. If you go book B&B and in doing so you get the evening meal with all the food and all the beer and wine you will ever need for 25Eurs.

Our room was sparkling clean! Nice and cool as well considering the weather was very hot. The pool is beautiful and clean, lovely temperature, very refreshing. The drinks selection at the bar was good and not too expensive. We were there for a wedding and had an amazing time there.

Pretty hotel close to the Jena city centre. Rooms are spacious and really comfy. Good breakfast buffet with a variety of egg dishes, fruits and juices. The restaurant Ist pretty good as well. The menu of a broad selection of regional foods. Pricing is in upper mid-range and absolutely reasonable for the quality delivered. Service is nice and courteous.

I was an attendee for a business training for a whole day. We enjoyed a very good service and professional and friendly service employees. All wishes were solved flexible and fast. The lunch was absolutely delicious. Thanks to the team.

Its very nice and good people. but It dose not have air-condition and internet in some rooms are bad.

Economical and clean. Well connected with tram to go in city. Staff is quite helpful. I was really amazed at the humility and understanding that the restaurant manager showed when I arrived later in night!! Her kindness remains the highlight of my travel.

The Akademie Hotel is a small seminar hotel in Jena, very good reachable by car or tram. It's in the opposite of the stadium, parking space is for free. The hotel isn't the best address for romantic visits, but for business meetings. I was a participant in a business workshop, so I only know the seminar rooms, information desk and lunch. The seminar rooms are absolutely ok with a great welcome service...

Location: 3 tram stops away from city centre. Service: 60 euro incl. Breakfast and supper. Good Wifi connection. Room: Typical and clean room.

I stayed at this hotel during my business visit around Christmas time. Visited Christmas market nearby. The view from the hotel room was amazing. Room is quite modern with all the latest gadgets and electrical control of ambience light and blinds. Staff was friendly at reception and at the terrace bar. This is probably the Best hotel in Jena.

Excellent buffet breakfast! Very rich with a variety of tasty food. Includes different kinds of bread, jam, cereals, honey, meet, eggs, bacon, pastries, yogurt and more. Coffee or coffee specialities can be ordered. The service was super friendly.

Personeel is friendly, but the hotel is missing for example a trashcan in the room. Ibis shoot look more at the details of what a traveler needs during corona.

No frills room with a basic breakfast. Convenient to shops and restaurants. Can be a bit noisy at night and early morning if your window is open and your room faces the street. I stay here for a week or two at a time and enjoy it. Hotel is clean and well maintained.

The room was good, the wifi speed was good too. This was the first German hotel I went to so I dont have a good comparison. But considering the price I felt the overall experience was a bit sub par. This was my experience as we came in at a very odd time and stayed for a short period. So you experience will greatly differ.

The hotel was ok. Facilities were limited, like no plug for electricity near the bed or soap was empty in wc. There were a hair on the soap in the shower. I would expect better quality for thr price they offered.

It is really a nice, small but a very smart hotel with modern lines inside! So smart! The rooms are quite clean and comfortable! The hotel really has a perfect location! You can reach everywhere with small walks in the city center. You can find many restaurants and shops on the hotel's street. It is also very close to bus and tram stations. You may easily find some free parking locations as well around...

Uns hat die ruhige Umgebung, der Außenbereich und die Größe des Bungalows gut gefallen. Aber auch beim Frühstück war es angenehm ruhig. Das Personal war nett und ist auf Wünsche eingegangen.

Ich war mittlerweile schon öfter hier! Werde auch wieder hier einchecken! Frühstück hat reichlich Auswahl. Liegt leicht abseits und dadurch relativ ruhig!

Very good hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. Although the furniture is fully functional, it could be invested in a new and modern one, because it reminds of the times from the previous state. Accommodation prices are roughly the same as in the city center, although the hotel is a few kilometers away from the center. Meals are big and of high quality.

Great food at the buffet during our company event and great overall service. 8 solid bowling lanes in the basement together with a nice little pub.

Very nice and cosy guest house very close to the city center. The twin room was comfortable. Breakfast was good and the owners were always ready to help.

Comfortable, cosily yet a little old fashioned decorated. The double bed had two separate mattresses though, which made cuddling quite a challenge.

A cozy hotel in a quiet location on the edge of the forest. Rooms are very well equipped. The breakfast is rich and leaves nothing to be desired. The fruit salad made from fresh ingredients is a morning delight, not to mention the Thuringian plum jam.

The old brewery is a beautiful, cozy location for events of all kinds. As locals of Jena, we like to come here for special lunches or dinners with friends and family. The Papiermühle doesn't just offer its own beers and liqueurs, but also traditional and local cuisine. It is definitely one of the best places to eat in Jena.

Pension Bertha was a great place to stay while visiting Jena. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. It had a large bathroom as well. The staff were very helpful.

It's nicely located, my room and bathroom were spacious yet warm. The stuff was really helpful. The only minus I can point to is pillows. As for me, they were too big and stiff. But overall I enjoyed my stay!

The room was beautiful and clean, bathroom was super clean. Amazing experience and also good location - it is close to the city center and you can take the walk around all the town. Also a lot of bars and restaurants are nearby so we had full experience. Amazing weekend getaway. All stuff and the owner were nice and on the service all the time. Looking forward to come back :)

I visit Jena from time to time for many years and Bertha became my favorite pension/hotel to stay in Jena . First, "location, location, location". Pension is conveniently located next to Jena West train station, but close to the city center. Second, comfort of staying. Rooms are large and clean, place is calm, service is great. Third, price. I certainly happy to pay the price I paid for this excellent...

This hostel has neat rooms, kitchenettes and toilets. It is quite decent and affordable. It has many rooms that can accommodate those planning a vacation for a group of 25 to 30 or maybe more. The first floor has a nice balcony view and the hostel is very close to the city centre, tram station and not too far from the train station.

Centrally located in Jena, breakfast is an additional 6 euros to the room price with great coffee. The WiFi can be very touchy and disconnect you often

A nice clean hostel with friendly personnel. Central location. Plenty of bathrooms and WC, didn't have problems with them. Good choice of meals during the morning's buffet. WiFi free and very fast. A small disadvantage: there was no writing table in my room, but it is not a critical point for a leisure traveler.
