Very nicely located. The surrounding landscape is beautifully quiet and idyllic. The rooms are very well equipped and comfortable. Contact with the Rissland family is very pleasant. In short, you immediately feel at home there.

A cozy hotel in a quiet location on the edge of the forest. Rooms are very well equipped. The breakfast is rich and leaves nothing to be desired. The fruit salad made from fresh ingredients is a morning delight, not to mention the Thuringian plum jam.

I had the opportunity to stay overnight at the Hotel Haus Orchideental several times. My beautiful room, the peace and quiet, the attention to detail, the good connection to the motorway and the core mountains in the immediate area made my stay very pleasant.

A very nice hotel run with love.

My friend and I were invited to a wedding in July 2023 and were looking for somewhere to stay overnight.
We had initially booked another accommodation, but had to cancel it spontaneously due to water damage. This left us high and dry and shortly before we had to look for an alternative.
The owner of the Hotel Haus Orchideental was very understanding and accommodating, the booking went without any problems.

The hotel is located away from the city center, but is very easy to reach by public transport. The S-Bahn stop is about 10 minutes away on foot, and it's a slight climb up the hill - so I suspect that it's unfortunately not suitable for people with walking difficulties.

The rooms are large and well-equipped with a small kitchenette, kettle, coffee machine and refrigerator. They have enough storage space for clothes and some food. Nevertheless, I would recommend the breakfast on site - it is very extensive and varied, you really get something for your money.

The bathroom has a shower and is very clean and equipped with three types of hygiene products such as ear swabs.

Especially in summer, it's worth ending the evening in the garden behind the rooms.
The hotel is simply very beautiful and idyllic and is suitable for both relaxation and an attached city vacation.

We really had a lovely time here and would love to come back again.

We had 3 great nights in this small, family hotel. The apartment was just great, comfortable beds, small kitchen, terrace and a huge TV, which we hardly used.
Despite the proximity to the Jena-Göschwitz motorway, it is very quiet and natural. Ideal as a starting point for hiking in the mountains around Jena.
The highlight was the breakfast in the family breakfast room, lovingly prepared by the landlady. We immediately felt at home.
You are greeted warmly, there is easy parking right in front of the hotel and the house dog Toni is happy to be petted. Overall, the best hotel on our holiday trip through East Germany and my old homeland.

A beautiful location on the edge of the Leutra Valley. The motorway, which until a few years ago cut right through the middle of the beautiful valley, runs in a tunnel under this valley. My room was sufficient, the bathroom was quite small, but completely sufficient for a few days. Everything very neat. There is only breakfast here, but it is rich and with ingredients from the region (e.g. honey and jam or eggs).
The location is at the end of a dead end, then it goes into fields and forest. This means it is very quiet. I will gladly come again.

Picturesquely located hotel with very friendly hosts. The location is ideal for hiking, the Jena-Göschwitz train station is within walking distance (15 minutes) and the cute and well-behaved dog is also important to mention!
