Where to stay in Kelheim

Room was good but a bit warn . Location is great ,walk to most restaurants and shops. The breakfast was outstanding ,staff was great.

If your coming from road that's parallel to the Danube River. Once you're approaching the clock tower with arch, stop and dont pass through the arch. Make a left instead. That's where the reception is. I want to take the male housekeeper who helped me with the steps to get our stroller through the hallway. Nice hotel in a good location in very likeable small-town Kelheim. Excellent parking. Spacious clean rooms, nice showers, separate toilet. Even a small fridge. I'd give it 4.5 stars for the absence of a kettle in the room which would be much appreciated. Nice soccer tables near reception, but we couldn't find balls so couldn't have a go.

Very nice apartment with friendly hosts. The location is just as quiet as it is central in the old town of Kelheim. The bookable breakfast in the café on the Donautor, which is about 100m away, is highly recommended.

Excellent service, first come, helpful, very friendly. Very attractive rooms including furnishings, homely. The location is ideal for trips to the surrounding area (Weltenburg, Liberation Hall) or the pretty little town on the beautiful Danube.

Super spontaneously we were allowed to spend the night with the Stark family in the lovingly furnished shepherd's wagon on a hot summer day and were very satisfied. We were guests at the holiday wooden house Stark, but were also allowed to use the facilities at the holiday farm. I can't say anything about the holiday apartments here, but we were very satisfied in the wooden house. The highlight for our children were the dwarf goats, which could also be fed. Especially the smallest. The two ponies were very loving, as was the donkey. The pool wasn't too big but...

The staff was extremely friendly. The dinner in the restaurant was delicious. The wine and beer menu was exceptional. The breakfast was very good, with fresh food and very rich in variation. The stay exceeded our expectations!

I picked this place for their excellent kitchen, and proximity to the Munich airport. But it’s worth making it a destination and spending more time. The burg is fascinating. Amazing views and great hiking. Good value too.

For several years stay at this wonderful place for a break on the way to France or Italy. Przesympatyczna the hostess made this place something fantastic, the rooms, the atmosphere, well the food in the restaurant... beautiful terrain, excellent bike lanes...in August again will be there, and I already can't wait !

I've been in their restaurant several times, very authentic Bavarian family place in the picturesque town of Essing. They have a brewery attached and a great view to the nearby river. The food is great but a bit more pricey, their beers are amazing. Try their Helles Bier!

Landlady Ms. Nowy very friendly. Nice clean room. Good breakfast. Great area. Fridge for guest use. On the terrace you can sit very nicely. drinks available. All very familiar and beautiful. I'd love to come back, but then with mosquito spray. Tip: Highly recommend dinner in the Ritterschänke Burg Randeck!

Absolutely recommended. The location, the very well-equipped rooms and especially the breakfast and guest room are terrific. I wouldn't rent something like that out but would want to use it myself.

The Guesthouse is on the base of a rocky cliff next to a river arm. We've got nice and clean rooms with comfy beds. After a quieter night we enjoyed a good breakfast.

The place has a small terrace. The food is very good, and they offer a broad choice, typical Bavarian but also vegetarian dishes. The staff was very nice! The restaurant is close to a hiking and climbing area :)

The rooms are older and worn a bit. However, they are clean. The location is nice. The reason that the hotel got 3 stars is 1. There was no one at the reception when we wanted to check in. It was a pain to find someone in the restaurant let us into our room. 2. There is a pool shown on the website. There is no pool on the property. It's a local pool and you have to pay to get it. (My fault...

We liked the thermal baths that are connected to the hotel. The rooms were very very clean. Everything was very good.

Breakfast was great. The waitress was very nice. She offered us cappucino as there wasn‘t white bread anymore.

Large hotel with big clean rooms. Restaurant on premise. Underground connection direct to the bath complex, and they will loan you robes and towels. Friendly staff. The hotel is a bit older, typical Bavarian style. Good value.

Great business hotel in general and staff very helpful. I've stayed here many times. The only trouble I have with this hotel is the Wi-Fi. It is sometimes very slow or intermittent, and in some rooms further away from the center there is no reach, for example room 145. Please fix this or my entire company will need to find another hotel.

A good time in big room long with swimming pool indoor ,suna bath and with gym fitness center , where u can exhaust ur day frustration and tension all we're open 24 hrs , a nice balcony to see stars clearly. The lobby has only limited opening hours. Rooms are clean. Facilities such as pool and gym are empty on weekends. Free parking in underground parking lot included. A bit pricy.

Too big and uncomfortable pillows, staff understand English but don't want to speak (I don't mean the receptionists, they were cool), good parking, massive rooms, warm and nice bathrooms. All good. Not sure the breakfast was worth 13€ per person and 10€ for child, but....

Used this hotel for a school trip. Rooms are lovely, staff are great, perfect location for getting to our partner school and also for bus stops to get to Regensburg city centre easily. Breakfast was great.

Nice hotel, all looks good and is perfect clean. The swimmungpool and dry and wet sauna are a big bonus. All looks rather new and is in perfect condition.

Rooms were not evenly distributesd according to space... my collegues for the same price got a bigger and better room than me. Service staff was good and the greakfst was not up to the mark But the Serving lady is very polite

Hotel Apollo in a residential neighborhood and not easy to get to by public transportation. However, the rooms we big and clean and the restaurant was cozy and relaxing. The staff was pleasant. They also had bicycle rentals for only 10E a day. The bikes were in good condition and we were only a 15 minute ride to city center.

We just spent two nights at this great campsite. If it wasn’t for the fairly high rates (nearly 50 euro for two adults), it would deserve a five star review.

Booked the 2 person barrel and absolutely love the experience. Very clean lodging and common toilet at the camp site was cleaned regularly. Only exception was that someone used the toilet sink to clean their shoes and cause a stuck with the autumn leaves but it was cleaned real quick within the hour of me returning.

We stayed one night in the camping barrels. It was very cozy and clean, with heating and even heated mattresses, but in cold weather, it wasn't enough as cold air came through the window. We weren't comfortable with the temperature, but I think it would be better in warmer weather. The bathrooms were not particularly clean, and the restaurant was mediocre, but it's nice that it exists. We'd go there...

The whole barrel was really cozy and nice and warm inside even in February.
