Where to stay in Luneburg

COVID had led to a significant reduction in reception hours, but staff went to some trouble to keep us informed and make sure we had access. Limited choice at breakfast, but freshness and quality very good. Staff friendly and helpful.

Very charming, Altstadt Hotel and Restaurant, run by a highly qualified, professional, yet friendly staff. Small, modern bedrooms are well designed in this antique building. Very romantic and rustic. 50m from the Christmas market. The owners are very nice, caring and accommodating. The breakfast is ok, the rooms so-so. Nevertheless, we would take a room over the weekend again, because the overall package is just right and you are right in the city center.

Very old hotel in the middle of the city of Lüneburg. Unfortunately not so great in room 11 without a private bathroom (externally across the hall). But the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was prepared with a lot of creativity.

The location is convenient as hotel is located at the border of inner city of Luneberg. The reception staff is gentle with multi-language.

I stayed at the Altes Kaufhaus for 2 nights whilst travelling aboard for work. The hotel was only a short 10 minute walk from the station and was very central to the pubs and restaurants. The rooms were excellent and very clean, would happily stay again.

We really loved our stay here. The check-in and check-out were smooth. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The free mini-bar was a nice surprise :) I had a work call during our stay, and the wifi worked wonderully throughout the meeting. Would have loved to stay longer than just one night!

Beautiful hotel in the very centre of Lüneburg. I was in town to provide a lecture at Leuphana University. The hotel is situated right in the middle of town, not far from the train station. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable, and even have a dining table. There is a steam sauna and a gym available to the guests free of charge. The gym's exercise machines do need some maintanence, though....

I booked a hotel for my colleague at the company. There was an exhibition in Dongbudong, Germany. We needed to book in advance, otherwise the price would skyrocket.

I have been to Seminaris Lüneburg before and was impressed again. Nice room and delicious, extensive breakfast. Friendly service at reception and a large parking garage 👍. Only the toilets are very low. But I would still happily go back. 😀

The Saltblooms apartments convince due to their central location in Lüneburg. You can park your car safely and protected from the weather (for a surcharge) on the property. Rooms in the main building are showing their age and need updating, as does the bathroom. Our room faced the street and was very noisy. The restaurant is no longer in operation. The extensive breakfast and the extremely friendly host were great.

I attended a training course there. Nice room. Drinks and cakes were good. Own parking spaces for visitors. Easy to find right on the through road. No street noise to be heard inside the training room. Everything great.

A very nice, small, privately run hotel. From the inside, the entire building was renovated with great attention to detail. Small room, tiny shower cabin. Room was clean. The hotel is situated close to the town center of Bergedorf and not far from the train station. It was the weekend of the Hafengeburtstag, so greater Hamburg was pretty booked, but I still found the price way too high. 129 EUR from Saturday to Sunday is steep for this room.

Very cozy, smaller, privately run hotel with very friendly and helpful owners and staff. The restaurant can be divided by a door, so that smaller conferences are possible. Conference technology is also available. Ideal for meetings outside the usual office space. A very nice hotel in a very good central location. The rooms are very well equipped and clean. Great breakfast in a cozy atmosphere. An enrichment for Bispingen! Great ambience. You can sleep here in the hotel, have a wonderful rum steak, or eat a delicious burger. Good hotel but the food is mostly prefab...shame on a super place

Decent small hotel. I have stayed here a couple of times for business. The rooms are small but clean and adequate for a short stay. Some of the older rooms have creaky beds which are not ideal but the newer rooms are more comfortable. Be aware that the restaurant is closed some nights but there is a good Steakhouse over the road as an alternative.

A nice hotel, which is very close to Heide Park. Ideal for a stay if you are going to the amusement park! The breakfast was good and actually much better than we hoped for 👍 The rooms are fine and have all you need. Some of the hallway could use a little update.

This place is awesome! If you are staying nearby then please take the time to visit. Your children will love it... I'm not a fan of theme parks, but this one is really worth the money. There's so much to do, lots to eat and more than enough rides. When we visited, some of the attractions were closed due to covid restrictions, but there was still plenty to do. After reading the reviews I regretted booking it. But I must say we spent a great time there. My daughter (4yo) had a lot of fun. We enjoyed it too. It's a pity the swimming pool could be visited only once. But well, it's Covid time. But anyway it was worth it.

Disappointed with my accommodation. Rooms were not very modern and could be renovated. I took a premium bunglow with toilets very ordinary. Overall the park has decent facilities for a relaxing weekend. I would suggest families to take a golfcart as this is a big park.

Lovely setting in a fantastic part of Germany (SO MUCH to do in the area). The accomodation is fairly basic, particularly for cooking in, but worked fine for our family of 5, plus doggie. Plenty of activities for the kids, but a bit short on things to do on a rainy day, and not just because of Covid restrictions.
