Good German food in the restaurant
Helpful staff in reception.

I was only there for one night as I was passing through.

The concierge was nice and accommodating.

However, the whole house is very old-fashioned, not clean and the room and the hallways smell.
The bathroom looked as if it had not been cleaned at all or only very superficially (hair in the bathtub, toothpaste residue in the sink and in the toothbrush holder) and I think that the bed had not been freshly made.
The room smelled really bad, maybe they had sprayed a pine scent or something like that. The smell didn't really go away until the next day.

Other than that, no effort was made when it came to the furnishings, which you can see in the little things. For example, the paper coasters for the toothbrush holder had already been used x times or the paper "Do not disturb" sign for the door was completely tattered.

I would have preferred to turn around and not sleep there.

The breakfast was OK but nothing special, the staff was nice.

In general, the house gives me a rather run-down and dirty impression.
