8/10 The hotel is a little old. The cleaning was very good, but there were cobwebs outside as if the windows had not been opened for a long time. The pillows are so soft that you can only sleep with two of them.

Good location for my purposes. Starts to show its age, there is wear and tear everywhere. There are no power sockets next to beds for charging and also the desk does not have sockets for computer. Minibar was loaded, which is also not so fashionable any more. Breakfast is still as good as always.

Comfortable hotel, one of the best with character in the region. Fitness center much lower than Radisson’s standard. Staff is friendly and open to provide suggestions. There is marginal difference between parking in the front terrace and the parking lot. Water in the room could have been complimentary.

We stayed one night. The hotel is located in Merseburg, an ancient city situated on the Saale River and within a short drive from Halle and Leipzig. Partly covered parking may be available behind the hotel at EUR 13/night, however spaces are limited and we were lucky to get one of the last remaining spaces. We chose the hotel based on a previous stay in 2021. Unfortunately no Business Class Room...

The rooms seem a bit dated, the staff is super friendly (we got a great restaurant tip), and of course the location is great. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Without air conditioning, the rooms cannot be kept at an acceptable temperature during the day in midsummer.

Everything is nice and clean, the breakfast is delicious, but the pillows need to be replaced. Also more English channel would be great on the TV. The drawbacks are: the lack of parking places, no air conditioning in my room while the partying hordes are very loud in the park at night in front of the hotel.

It's a nice budget hotel. Clean simple rooms, friendly staff. The beds need new, more comfortable mattresses, otherwise everything is fine.

We had one night here on our way down to Italy and it was a good choice. Parking at the hotel and a big clean room. The weather was good so we satin the garden and had a beer before going to bed. The breakfast next morning was fantastic. All served at the tabke for youand it was really nice th8ngs and more than we could eat. We were very satisfied with staying here and would defenitely use it again

Good hotel, friendly staff. Big average rooms. A bit expensive for the average level, I missed a fridge in the room and some items at breakfast (very limited choice of 1 pastries). No free parking. Nice location, but rather ask for a room at the back to avoid noise from train.

They prepared everything early as we came, here I mean baby bed and sleeping Sofa.

Very nice staff who accommodated our very unusual request and good value for money. We were able to use the indoor pool for an hour despite the pandemic. We would like to return for a short break.

OK hotel for work related stay. Garage fills early but they let me park in the front. No refrigerator and no coffee machine in room but other needed things were there. Good breakfast.

It was a nice experience. Room I availed is fair to the cost I paid. Been here for 3-5 times. Breakfast buffet is also good. No issue with parking space. Receptionist are also friendly.

Great place, comfortable rooms.

Beautiful renovated castle hidden in the middle of nowhere. Transpiring hundreds of years of history in a very quiet and serene setting in the green. We had a delicious gourmet dinner that could easily have been served in a top Parisian restaurant.

This hotel is situated in a really nice, old castle with 2m-thick walls, quite rooms, a nice park. It's closeness to Halle makes it ideal as a quiet weekend getaway location there. The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast was quite nice too. A definite recommendation!

I stayed for one night with a native speaker. The staff were very friendly, and we liked the room and the hotel, which is unique, at least for my limited experience of German accommodation. The only reason that I'm giving it 3 instead of 5, is that we were told that dinner will include a drink, but were charged for it when we checked out. Old castle. Very nice. Good breakfast and dinner. Great atmosphere. No air conditioning in the room so had to open windows but that was noisy due to trains and a nearby airport.

I like that there is a huge supermarket next to it, and also a tram station nearby in less than 2 min walking!

Price-performance ratio is great. It is well connected, as there are buses and trams in the immediate vicinity. But you can also get around well by car. There are various grocery stores and a drugstore in the immediate vicinity. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. But I'm subtracting a star as the bathroom was also clean, but there was some damage. But didn't bother me any further...

We only stayed at the Guldenhof for one night because we made a stop to visit the Maya Mare swimming pool on our way back to Berlin. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Halle, surrounded by industry and simple apartment buildings. Yesterday 2.4. , we were at a very nice birthday party in the Guldenhof. What can I tell you, the celebration was very successful. The staff made a huge contribution to this. The boss was always trying to discuss each passage beforehand. He always tried to get in touch with the guests. I think you can recommend this hotel with a clear conscience. We found ourselves stuck in Halle due to a train malfunction and quickly booked the ibis as we had two small kids in tow. It was a very easy, less than 10 minute walk to the train station. Basic but nice hotel, only 2 minutes' walk from Halle main station. The room was a decent size, and warm, once I turned the radiator thermostat up from zero! Decent breakfast selection.

The location for short term visit was ok, not the best,but manageable. The staf was nice, but they don't sent the invoice by mail even they promise to do that. Please ask for paper copy when paid. Hotel is old an look like 70's, but the rooms seems to be renovated after that. It is normal IBIS quality and the garage was nice plus.

As expected from Ibis, the room is small but everything is good for the price.

It looked to me like regular Ibis not Styles. Single room was very spacious and quiet. Breakfast was amazing, far best of all hotels i've stayed this year. 60 Euro plus breakfast is good value. My only complaint is the carpet in the room. There is a slight smell, either wash it properly or get rid of it.

Not good for business travels or travelling with acquaintances. Thin walls. From 6am onwards you can hear low thudding from the station or the tram station outside the hotel. Could hear my neighbours' nightly activities and the headboard couldn't be separated from the wall. So I needed to wake up and excuse myself until they were done. When neighbours came back, the bluetooth from the TV would activate...

Solid. Rooms were no frills but clean and sensible. In the price range usually you have a bit bigger rooms though. The bathroom was quite nice. Front desk is open 24/7; convenient. When I checked in, around 8pm, there was only one desk open though, so it took a while. Guest in front of me also forgot her cards pin, I would have appreciated being fast tracked instead of waiting for the epiphany. ...

The most fancy hotel with a fully affordable price. Beautiful design both in the hotel and inside the rooms. A whole fridge of 5 bottles of free drink feels out of this world. Receptionists are friendly and helpful. However be careful when you search on the Google map, really put the hotel's full address to avoid confusion as Google maps might take you to a nearby place within the same hotel group...

The location of the hotel is good. The room is large and the bed huge, and very comfortable, although I would rather have had 2 single beds as was travelling with my son. The bed only had one pillow and one single duvet despite the booking was for 2 people. We found another pillow and duvet in the wardrobe but I do feel the room should have been set up for 2 people. The location of the hotel is excellent, but the rooms had a bad odor. While the rooms themselves are spacious and nicely appointed, the unpleasant smell detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, check-in was problematic, as our room wasn't ready until 4:30 PM. On the other hand, they are strict about check-out times and charged extra for an additional hour.

We had a very good time, price was really good compared to other hotels oder airbnbs by the time. Room was kinda oldschool, but clean and nice. Would recommend. They even had a fitness room and wellness, plus a pool table in the lobby.

Good spacious room, but the reception is only opened from 14:30 to 22:00, the lady came late (15:10) and there was a huge line to check in. It took 20min to check in when we were waiting since 13:30 at the lobby

Nice room at a nice price in a nice location. One issue was that the email they sent had the wrong booking number so we couldn’t use the kiosk to check in. Fortunately, the front desk was open at the time even though the email said it wouldn’t be at that time.

This was the fourth hotel we stayed in over the past six days and we or least favorite. This was the only hotel that did not have an in room mini refrigerator and offered only one pillow. The parking garage was difficult to locate and the cost was €1/hour or €9/day but you could not leave and return without getting another parking pass and paying a new fee.

No microwave or refrigerator in the room which was inconvenient because everything around us was closed on Sunday. (Even grocery stores) Otherwise, the room was clean and staff was helpful.

Totally loved my stay. I spent one night and unfortunately couldn’t make it to the gym but I love the atmosphere and the room style. Staff is super friendly and breakfast is good.

The staff is friendly and customer oriented. In the same building you can find a SPA and sauna, as well a very complete GYM. The breakfast is buffet with all basic to get charge of energy for the day. From my point of view the bed, at least the one I got is small and since is an old building the isolation against noise is not good.

Rather okay value for the money, the hotel could need a bit of remake, but I guess it is charming the way it is. The beds were alright and that is what really matters when you decide to stay at a place like this. Oh and yeah, showering was quite hard, we only had a bathtub and the shower hose is really down so that you need to be very short to get all wet. And oh, the minibar didn't work, so the beer...

The place is cheap and good. Very well located. However I need a socket where to plug my Devices. Need to improve the bathingroom's doors and provide in a kitchen a wasserkocher.

This hostel was soo Nice. I mean it just coasted me 16 € for the one night stay (21:00 to 11:00). There is a good bathroom, a good kitchen. And the bed was also comfortable. The service provided by the staffs in the reception is also good. The only problem I faced there was with the other guys in the room. I needed a cheap place to stay while visiting friends and was surprised by the quality of the facilities. It may seem shabby from the outside and the common rooms a little old fashioned, but the staff is excellent, the location is amazing and the rooms were just what I needed - a clean, comfy bed, a great shared bathroom and just a super short walk to the tram station.

One of the best places to sleep over in the city if you are on a tight budget. Very nice and friendly staff. The location is perfect as it is close to the city centre (3-4 mins by foot). The rooms and bathrooms are clean. And over all worth it.

The hostel is located near the Market Square, the staff were friendly. The rooms and the bathrooms were clean enough. However the shower cubicles neither had doors nor any curtains which is a bit strange. Dorms had individual lockers. However, the wifi was not free, except for few hours. The breakfast was not included in the price. They offered bikes on rent.

Average 3 stars hotel. Good by comparison, reasonably clean with adequate breakfast.

Pretty run down, in a rather run down area. The whole building smelled of old cooking oil. There was also cigarette smoke in the lobby.

Nice cozy rooms. They got a small (cardio only) fitness room, they also got scrambled eggs for breakfast. What else can you ask for? And Ibis for example has none of that.

Great short stay Great location and amenable service

Incredibly quiet, despite being in the heart of the city. The bathroom is brand new, and the kitchenette is very practical. The heating is very good even when it's below zero outside. Easy to find – tram number 12 from the main station – the stop is called Lessingstraße. Reception could be friendlier. Everything from very friendly to the opposite. Highly recommended nonetheless.

The price is relatively cheap, the room is quite big, European hotels are relatively clean, the breakfast is very rich, and it is very convenient to the airport, which is a good choice for business trips.

The hotel has a rich buffet breakfast. The hotel is just opposite the airport, only a 3-minute walk away, but there are no shops around. If you need to buy food, you have to return to the airport.

The parking lot is the airport parking lot, which is a bit inconvenient, but otherwise ok, very close to the airport!

We used Schumanns garten for a stop over a couple of times. Excellent value for money. Friendly staff, service spacious room on two floors and everything seems very clean. Breakfast is good and so is the restaurant for dinner. Free parking right next to the hotel. Weissenfels seems not very interesting for a tourist...

The location is not far from the old town and very quiet. The rooms and the bathroom are great for the category. You shouldn't expect service, but it's not lacking either.

Stayed nearby for a training event. The rooms are great, very well maintained and you have a real hotel feeling.

Friendly communication, uncomplicated transaction. Rooms are practically furnished (including TV and WiFi) and clean, central kitchen with everything you need is also there Good value for money! Thanks!

Friendly staff, great food at the restaurant, very traditional German hotel. WiFi signal could be stronger in the rooms. But all in all a great stay.

We ended up here by coincidence when we were passing through. Booked a family room and everything was amazing, the dinner, the breakfast, the room! But really, this hotel had received the highest score from me only because of the fragrant soap. Everything else is just a bonus! We would love to come back!
