Good location for my purposes. Starts to show its age, there is wear and tear everywhere. There are no power sockets next to beds for charging and also the desk does not have sockets for computer. Minibar was loaded, which is also not so fashionable any more. Breakfast is still as good as always.

Comfortable hotel, one of the best with character in the region. Fitness center much lower than Radisson’s standard. Staff is friendly and open to provide suggestions. There is marginal difference between parking in the front terrace and the parking lot. Water in the room could have been complimentary.

Everything is nice and clean, the breakfast is delicious, but the pillows need to be replaced. Also more English channel would be great on the TV. The drawbacks are: the lack of parking places, no air conditioning in my room while the partying hordes are very loud in the park at night in front of the hotel.

Modern luxury hotel with nice rooms. Room 551 is the room with the best view and large rooftop balcony. Nice waterpower shower and Nespresso machine in the room. The pillows are too soft and there are 2 separate quilts on the kingsize bed.

Ok so once again I am surprised about some comments. I was in this hotel for two weeks. What do you want - clean rooms, great hospitality, ease of access to whatr you need. They prepared everything early as we came, here I mean baby bed and sleeping Sofa.

OK hotel for work related stay. Garage fills early but they let me park in the front. No refrigerator and no coffee machine in room but other needed things were there. Good breakfast.

Decent place to rest, nice breakfast

I spent for about 15 years regularly some days in a year in the Best Western in Merseburg. I like the Hotel very much because it is well situated between Halle and Leipzig, has cosy rooms, a nice Summer garden and a little pool and sauna. The best is the friendly staff. Lots are there for years. The breakfast is special, the standard in the lunch and dinner restaurant is not.

Hotel is solid, clean rooms, but not new any longer. Forget about the so called indoor pool or wellness center... Very kind staff

Always a good address to stay in Merseburg. It is close to everything, has a good service, great food, clean, and it is quiet.

This hotel is situated in a really nice, old castle with 2m-thick walls, quite rooms, a nice park. It's closeness to Halle makes it ideal as a quiet weekend getaway location there. The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast was quite nice too. A definite recommendation!

Such a lovely place! We have spent a lovely weekend at Schloß Schkopau. The pictures can speak for themselves. P.S:the stuff was extra friendly and the breakfast delicious! We will definitely come back ,“The black dinner” sounded appealing :-)

I stayed for one night with a native speaker. The staff were very friendly, and we liked the room and the hotel, which is unique, at least for my limited experience of German accommodation. The only reason that I'm giving it 3 instead of 5, is that we were told that dinner will include a drink, but were charged for it when we checked out. Old castle. Very nice. Good breakfast and dinner. Great atmosphere. No air conditioning in the room so had to open windows but that was noisy due to trains and a nearby airport.

Very nice owners and inexpensive accommodations, recommendation

The pension is a holiday home. We were together with another guest with whom we got along very well. Greek dinner and breakfast bakery are within walking distance from the apartment.

Very nice, quiet pension in Merseburg. Priced just great! In the apartment there are 4 rooms, 1 shared bathroom, a kitchen and a beautiful balcony on the garden side. Owner was very nice at reception and showed me right through the apartment. If I'm in the area again, I'd love to come back.

Price-performance ratio is great. It is well connected, as there are buses and trams in the immediate vicinity. But you can also get around well by car. There are various grocery stores and a drugstore in the immediate vicinity. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Yesterday 2.4. , we were at a very nice birthday party in the Guldenhof. What can I tell you, the celebration was very successful. The staff made a huge contribution to this. The boss was always trying to discuss each passage beforehand. He always tried to get in touch with the guests. I think you can recommend this hotel with a clear conscience. Basic but nice hotel, only 2 minutes' walk from Halle main station. The room was a decent size, and warm, once I turned the radiator thermostat up from zero! Decent breakfast selection.

The location for short term visit was ok, not the best,but manageable. The staf was nice, but they don't sent the invoice by mail even they promise to do that. Please ask for paper copy when paid. Hotel is old an look like 70's, but the rooms seems to be renovated after that. It is normal IBIS quality and the garage was nice plus.

We had a very good time, price was really good compared to other hotels oder airbnbs by the time. Room was kinda oldschool, but clean and nice. Would recommend. They even had a fitness room and wellness, plus a pool table in the lobby.

Very clean, small, cute rooms. Furnished with old furniture and curtains, really historical building from the outside and inside. The host is friendly and flexible, ready to adjust to the gust's plans.

The staff is friendly and customer oriented. In the same building you can find a SPA and sauna, as well a very complete GYM. The breakfast is buffet with all basic to get charge of energy for the day. From my point of view the bed, at least the one I got is small and since is an old building the isolation against noise is not good.

Rather okay value for the money, the hotel could need a bit of remake, but I guess it is charming the way it is. The beds were alright and that is what really matters when you decide to stay at a place like this. Oh and yeah, showering was quite hard, we only had a bathtub and the shower hose is really down so that you need to be very short to get all wet. And oh, the minibar didn't work, so the beer...

Good place to stay - clean rooms, friendly stuff

Very central. Clean. Quite cosy. The rooms are in good shape and quite large. The beedroom is for 2 persons and nr 3 person sleept in the living room on a daybed. We only stayed for one night but it was well worth the money. Nice view to castle. Notice that if you rent a park space in the yard the gate is very narrow so large cars can't enter or exit easily.

I needed a cheap place to stay while visiting friends and was surprised by the quality of the facilities. It may seem shabby from the outside and the common rooms a little old fashioned, but the staff is excellent, the location is amazing and the rooms were just what I needed - a clean, comfy bed, a great shared bathroom and just a super short walk to the tram station.

One of the best places to sleep over in the city if you are on a tight budget. Very nice and friendly staff. The location is perfect as it is close to the city centre (3-4 mins by foot). The rooms and bathrooms are clean. And over all worth it.

The hostel is located near the Market Square, the staff were friendly. The rooms and the bathrooms were clean enough. However the shower cubicles neither had doors nor any curtains which is a bit strange. Dorms had individual lockers. However, the wifi was not free, except for few hours. The breakfast was not included in the price. They offered bikes on rent.

Nice cozy rooms. They got a small (cardio only) fitness room, they also got scrambled eggs for breakfast. What else can you ask for? And Ibis for example has none of that.

Rooms are a little bit weirdly decorated but the facilities are overall okey. The surroundings are one of the worst neighbourhoods in Germany.

I stayed at the hotel for nearly 4 months and Frau Griep and the whole hotel crew did everything to make me feel a bit at home during my stay in this very strange period where everything else was closed in Halle. The hotel is quiet, ideally situated next to the city centre, and is very comfortable. I hope I can come back sometimes in summer (and out of a pandemic).

The hotel is very nice with a beautiful inner yard and hall. Breakfasts are tasty. The sauna is not excellent, yet good enough. Double rooms are equipped with kitchen utilities & ware.
