Excellent location by the main station and next to the Harz steam railway station. There is an excellent Italian restaurant next door if you don't want to use the hotel restaurant.

We only stayed one night but really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again. Room was lovely spacious and clean, perfect fit for family with small children. Front desk staff were lovely and helpful. Continental breakfast was great with loads of choice.

The people who work there are so sweet, breakfeast was good and it was very convenient that it was so close to the train station. Absolutely recommend this place 🌼🌸🌼

Faultless! Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. One of the best breakfasts I've had in a hotel, parking is included in the price with a direct entrance from the back with your keycard. Rooms were well stocked with everything you could want or need, the hotel itself is clean and to a good standard although some of the decor themes are rather unique in style.

Rooms are small, but very clean. Brekfast was great. Staf speak very good english. Everybody were very polite and kind

Good value and good location near the station if you're going to be travelling on the Harz Mountain Railway.

Our window was in traffic side but it was pretty quiet to sleep . It didn't bother us that much. Renovated and clean rooms. We didn't like the doors on the showers but the room was nice and breakfast was also delicious. It was a bit of a walk to the city though.

Friendly staff. Clean and tidy room. Plently of room and storage. Nice sized bathroom with a good shower. Near centre of town. Restaurants around including pizza place opposite. Happy to stay there again.

The breakfast and location were excellent, we had had a long journey from Holland to get here, it was about 35 miles from the autobahn and a welcome change of environment. One of our party had had an accident that required him to visit local doctor which was about 100 metres from the hotel and then hospital for a foot injury, the hotel were extremely helpful and kind, my friend unfortunately had to...

We were in the period from November 15th. - 18.11.2021 in Stolberg. We liked it very much. The hotel can only be recommended. Good kitchen good service.

Unfortunately, we were only one night in this welcoming and cozy Hotel. It has us very well fallen. Good kitchen, friendly staff and clean rooms with a very modern bathroom. Would love to come once again.

Very friendly hostesses. Delicious breakfast and super clean. Even if the furniture is somewhat reminiscent of a museum, the beds are great. My recommendation.

A good address for a stay in the southern Harz. The royal seat of Stolberg offers something for everyone. Many historical objects can be explored, from the many half-timbered houses to the city palace. A good starting point for this is the Pension Weißes Roß. Poor service and a really long waiting time to get the food. More than 1 hours, and the dishes were simple (pizza). Only accepted payment is by cash.

This restaurant is open all day, even mate lunch is possible which is why I went there . Good service and excellent food, I had deer steak! Located in the heart of Stolberg I can recommend this very good restaurant for its good location and selection of food and drinks. Several wines are served by the glass and mine was very good.

Nice hotel, but it looks a little bit old. We were there for breakfast, this was good and the waiters are very friendly.

The place itself is a dream. In October / November there is nothing as relaxing and quieter than Stolberg. We were now already 5 times over there and in the Chancellor. Says it all really. The staff is nice, friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are functional and clean. Price - performance is perfectly fine. We still had to find fault, never anything to. Come always gladly again here.

We were housed at the end of June 2014, for 6 nights at the Hotel Chancellor ( guest house ). The room was spacious, the bed was good. The chairs were the seat uncomfortable. If you lay in bed and still watching the TV, so you got some time Neck pain. Because the TV stand is too deep, it would be better if you would have mounted the TV on the wall. Stolberg is a nice little town to visit and location of hotel is almost at mid-point of town. The room was good and clean. The staff at reception were really nice, welcoming, and helpful.

If you're looking for a old fashioned hotel, this is the place. So everything is old, except the wellness section which is the only reason we choose this hotel.

Nice place, friendly and helpful staff and great food. No air conditioning, if your room is on the street side of the hotel forget getting much sleep unless you close all windows and fight the warm stagnet air.

One of the beat hotels I stayed at on my 3 week journey through Germany. The restraunt has great food and a wonderful breakfast. The town is as good as Rothenburg ,but not as busy. The crown jewel of this hotel I would say is THE POOL. look for the buttons on the wall below the water surface. There are 6 of them. 6 different things happen. Be amazed. We didnt want to leave the pool.

The room was brand new, perfect, clean, quiet, modern and had a great TV screen. (we stayed in the coach house) Enough parking spaces. The breakfast was the best we ever had; all you can think off and more all fresh and tasty; even several vegan options! Specific needs will be fulfilled no questions asked. We also had dinner twice this was Michelin star worthy!!

Anyone looking for a place of rest and relaxation has come to the right place at FreiWerk. The house is beautifully located on the edge of Stolberg, right in the middle of nature. The very attentive service and the extremely good kitchen made us feel completely at home. Absolutely deserved 5 *!

We have been to Freiwerk many times now. It is always characterized by its consistently excellent service and the quality of the food is consistently excellent. What is particularly great is that the card is constantly being renewed, which means that it doesn’t take a long time to come up. The barbecue brunch on Sundays in summer was also great and super relaxed in this great location.

It has been a wonderful holliday at this fantastic hotel. The rooms are very nice. The view from the rooms are fantastic. The staff are nice and very helpfull. The breakfast is absolut World class. The diner is superb. We Are looking foreward to come back again.

What should I write now? What is promised is also. Room tip, outdoor, plant, top, paved Parking for motorcycles.... to complain about really something I didn't. Here you simply have to feel good, Large praise to the staff.

Very good Hotel in a historic half-timbered ambience. Everything tip-top renovated. The rooms are adequately furnished, large and beautiful. Also the Restaurant-convincing performance. The service is friendly, but could be a little more attentive in the outdoor area (also five stars). Parking is free of charge, there is also a charging station for electric vehicles. It is worth to come here.

The rooms have different sizes, however, are spacious. Very clean. The Breakfast Buffett was above average for a guest house. The staff accommodating and very friendly. We had a coupon and got a 3Gänge menu. The food was delicious. We can recommend the Gasthof.

Superb hotel, every little detail exceeded my expectations ! The rooms are spacious, cosy and quiet, in a contemporary style. The spa and welness area is just perfect, 2 swimming pools, many saunas, and other facilities to enjoy a perfect stay. In the area, many departures for beautiful hikes in Harz natural park. Amazing breakfast with local and fresh products !

We will come here time and time again. We have already booked our next trip and will spend Christmas here. As a couple, with or without dog, this place is wonderful. Surrounded by forest and an oasis to just relax and enjoy great food, nice restaurants (there are a few on the premises) great wine selection, excellent Bar, and perfect service.

Wonderful place in lovely surroundings. Spa is ok with pools and saunas. There is a family only area. Saunas are nothing special. Food was lovely highly recommended the restaurant in the the small house. Air con in room doesn't stop which can make the air dry and too warm over night. 9 out of 10

Very good Service, rooms top, the evening buffet and Breakfast were excellent. The positive development can be felt throughout the Resort, kudos to the whole Team, especially to Ms. pine. It was a beautiful weekend.

The nature resort Schindelbruch is an excellent clean Hotel. The staff is friendly and accommodating ,and the decor is of the Finest quality ! The Spa, the sauna village invite you to Relax ! You can relax ,and the everyday life simply forgotten. An ambience what can you recommend just to anyone who rest and relaxation searches !
