I liked practically everything. There were few minor issues listed below. But I very recommend this place.

Wonderful hotel and Restaurant. The rooms are spacious with a modern bathroom. Very nice owners and friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Friendly, nice location, good food,….

Es war alles sehr gut, da wir „blind“, also ohne Tippgeber befragt zu haben, waren wir sehr zufrieden. Eine vollkommene und gepflegte Ausstattung der FeWo. Für Familien mit Kindern uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Wir mögen harte Matratzen in den Betten, die wir vermisst haben. Aber sonst ein doppeltes Plus, wir kommen sicher wieder. Tolle Vermieter, super Lage. Ausgezeichnet!

Our accommodation for a week. Much too short for the children, would have liked to have stayed longer. Great view from the courtyard, very nice hosts, very good accommodation and delicious schnapps. Something for everyone. Ideally located to explore the Black Forest. Clear recommendation.

Because it's really beautiful here. The apartment is great. The Martin family is wonderful.

Everything was great! Location is quiet and clean, personal is nice, and breakfasts are delicious.

Breakfast was the best part of this hotel, and the staff were really friendly. Overall our stay was ok, the rooms at not at all sound proof and through no fault of the hotel a man was shouting in the middle of the night and kept me up, then there’s the 7am church bells. If you’re a light sleeper I’d avoid, if not give it a stay!

The comfort room is very clean and the terrace is wonderful. It took only 15 min. to Freiburg downtown. The surroundings of the hotel is quiet. I will definitely visite again this hotel, if I would come to Freiburg!

Good stay. Enjoyed our stay. Bright room, friendly staff, parking at the hotel. Nice small town with good train link into Freiburg. The free local train/bus pass given to us at check-in was appreciated.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner was very tasty. Room was comfortable. Free parking behind hotel with a parking token from the hotel.

The restaurant food was good, however the service was not enough to wait for the dishes -we have waited for about 1 hour to get our dishes. This isn't a reasonable time to wait .

I had dinner here with my husband. I had low temperature cooked beef and my husband had salmon. The food was amazing and the service was very friendly.

The single room is very small but comfortably furnished. The hotel location is central and relatively quiet. The breakfast offering was good and sufficient. I found the price level of the restaurant to be too high.

The food is excellent, no typical schnitzel-fries cuisine, but homemade dishes, fine sauces, rather small dishes. A small star kitchen in a traditional ambience. Anyone who knows it: in terms of food, comparable to the Schlegelhof!

Lovely Boutique Hotel Our room was lovely, spacious and clean. The service was excellent. Only concern is the room was warm and the giant window only opened a crack. The room did have three fans, which we used all night. Other than ventilation, it’s a great boutique hotel!

We enjoyed our stay. Nicely renovated, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet. The nice surprise was the train pass we were given upon our arrival and the close proximity of the train station. We took the train into Freiberg and it was super easy and better than having to drive and find parking.

Amazing staff, clean and beautiful! Highly recommend! We will come back again.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und stilsicher und trotzdem modern eingerichtet. Den covid-19 Bestimmungen entsprechend war das Angebot eingeschränkt, es hat jedoch an nichts gefehlt. Ein großes Dankeschön an die Wirtsleute, die trotz Todesfall in der Familie das Angebot aufrecht erhalten haben.

Very good food and a nice Schwarzwald-style place

Nice restaurant with typical food. It's a good place to stop during your trip or after a long day of hiking in the black forest. So if you are looking for good food, friendly service, great drinks, and cosy atmosphere, don't miss this place. It is always full of local, so better make a booking before getting there.

Always a good stop ... especially for a little Rumpsteak 🤠 even though you're talking about 400g roundabout.

Hotel is good to stay short duration. It is clean. No coffee heater, no coffee available.

The room is a very good size, with comfortable beds and an excellent bathroom. The check-in service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. They should provide a water heater in the room.

Lovely hotel though perhaps a little uncared for now. Great staff for check in and breakfast. The dining room is great so shame there is currently no restaurant.

Very convenient for travel. Large room. Only problem was that the pillows were inadequate.

Comfortable in Freiburg The evening front desk clerk that greeted us was friendly. He recommended restaurants and called the restaurant we decided upon to acquire reservations for us. Wish our time wasn't limited in Freiburg, we would have liked to check out more of the city and surrounding area.

Spacious room, but could use a renovation. The flooring was carpet and had some old stains. I would suggest to remove the carpet and replace it with something easier to clean. Also the bathroom was rather old and could use an update. But for everything else it was a perfect accommodation. Breakfast was very good and staff was friendly.

I had a great experience at Waldhaus with my family. The moment we came I felt like a princess. The food and wine was good. Also, the gym and spa where perfectly arranged facilities and all so cleans. Besides, the staff was extremely kind and interested in you.

Cool Location. Perfect Hotel to take a break for couple of days as a motorcyclist. The hotel is located at the top of the Notschreipass.

Very clean site with the best facilities I've seen on a site! Pitches are tight for bigger vans but a nice easy 40 minute walk in to the beautiful town centre is a must do!

Good place to spend a night. The sanitary building seemed quite new and it was very clean. One of the better showers I have had in a camping park. The pitches are small and it was quite crowded when we were there.

Really liked this site. The check in was with a lovely Italian lady who walked me to the available pitches so I could choose. The site was full that night so I'd definitely pre-book. Facilities were modern and spotlessly clean, and the water for the showers and washing up was piping hot ! It was a very pleasant 30min walk along the river into the centre of Freiburg. The hostel is right next to the forest and has a pool and sauna, but you have to be naked to swim or use the sauna

It's a very good and comfortable place to stay. The warden speak English. Super easy for foreign travelers. It's about a 15 minute walk from railway station. The hostel-style dormitories were fairly comfortable and include full use of spa which was very nice. Be aware a €4.50 extra charge is made for bed linen and towels. Staff were helpful but not super friendly. The breakfast here is terrible! Do not buy it - go next door to Busse’s Waldcafe which offers a fantastic and generous breakfast buffet for about €11

My wife and I spent a week at Waldhotel Fehrenbach last September and had a wonderful time. The rooms are clean, modern and pleasant to stay in, but not luxurious. We have 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Josef is a great person. We felt immediately welcomed and so well taken care of. He is an amazing cook and loves his job! After visiting many Michelin Star Restaurants all over the world, it's not easy to impress me. Mr. Fehrenbach did so! His incredible knowledge about accompanying wines makes the delicious meals even better. The whole evening was truly inspiring. There is so much I could say, but this place is ideal. The rooms were great. The largest and nicest rooms we stayed in during our time in Germany. Also it's located in the most beautiful place on earth. I almost don't want to rate it well because I don't want other people realizing how awesome it is here. It's not in the town of Todtnau, but just up the hill close to a massive suspension walking bridge...

One of the best spontaneous decisions I’ve ever made; needed a place to stay during my motorcycle adventure through the Black Forest and this was amazing! The extremely friendly staff, food, property, everything…I wish I had known about this area sooner, I definitely would have made this my normal stop more often.

Did not stay here just had dinner. Service quite slow and disinterested. Food was quite good but bits were too salty and the Hugo was way too sweet.

Really lovely traditional German Guesthouse . Slept very well. Staff in the evening were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast good . Great choice for stopover. Almost everything! The room was lovely with a balcony overlooking the (snowy) countryside, if we weren't more cautious about the water usage, we could have stayed under the shower forever! The breakfast was nice, the staff was amazing, the check in and out was delightfully simple, all digitally, only spoke to the receptionist before leaving. This is a true gem!

The view is unbelievable! If you wanna stay there I would recommend to get a room with a balcony so you can truly enjoy the scenery. The pool was really small and not so tempting and if you are going there in winter make sure to use the right tire or a chain since the way is too steep. All in all we enjoyed our stay in the Panaroma Hotel and I only gave one star less since we didn't feel that welcomed...

We had a good stay in Hotel Sonnenalm. Breakfast was excellent. Swmimming pool and sauna : good. Only the steam bath did not function during the week, we were in the hotel. Dinner : was good. In form of buffet.

Small hotel with amazing view on top of the mountains. Small selection of buffet for breakfast which was delicious. Staffs are friendly. The timings are flexible. Appart from the view and surrounding, they also have sauna and indoor swimming pool 😍 If you want to stay, take the rooms with balcony. The view is amazing. I ate twice here. First time was amazing. Really good food and great service from the single waitress with a full room of tables. Second time was less good. Still good food, but the two waiters didn't seem interested in actually serving the tables.

Great hotel, food and service, especially for the children.

This hotel is designed for kids off all ages. They provide lots of opportunities to play, separated by age group, scribe kids programs, all day free food for kids, several play rooms and daycare for small and older kids - time for parents to relax therefore too

We decided at short notice to travel to Todtnauberg for a few days and rather by chance we checked into the Hotel Sternen (Anno 1769) ... The hotel is now getting on in years, but that didn't affect the whole thing ... we just wanted to stay the night and have breakfast in the morning ... The friendly owner gave us the key to our room (number 19), which was very spacious and above all it was very clean...

The place is just lovely and very close to feldberg. The staff is really nice, the room is big with a great balcony with view to the garden and mountains. The beds were excellent!!! And the shower as well. Breakfast is very good with fresh fruit salad and omelette!

Lovely hotel, great location close by parking (we came by car), with nice large rooms and a bath tub in the bathroom! Only down side, totally out of hotel's control, was we were on the street and at night and early morning were woken slightly by sounds of party revellers and a delivery truck for the bakery across the road. Begin with the best, the location of Schiller hotel is perfect, you walk directly into the old city center of Freiburg. The hotel is charming and a bit dated. It is clean, with friendly staff, but it also feels a bit dated. But you should not stay inside your hotel, Frieburg is great, enjoy the city!
