Food was excellent, service kind but with only two people serving relatively long waiting times.

Worth the money, as a lonely backpacker I was amazed! I don't think it's deserve to be 3 stars hotel Nice stuff nice food in a preety area inside Kirchzarten, 5 minutes walk to the bus station for Freiburg, not far from Titisee lake and Todnau waterfalls which are great attractions! The restaurant is just great! The food is tasty and service is great. The interior is fancy and stylish. The owner and his wife are serving and they do it properly and in time. The prices are quite decent. Ca 25 Euro per person for such food, service and ambient is almost nothing. I'd of course suggest to order a steak :) Not sure about the rooms but seems to be also awesome.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und stilsicher und trotzdem modern eingerichtet. Den covid-19 Bestimmungen entsprechend war das Angebot eingeschränkt, es hat jedoch an nichts gefehlt. Ein großes Dankeschön an die Wirtsleute, die trotz Todesfall in der Familie das Angebot aufrecht erhalten haben.

Nice restaurant with typical food. It's a good place to stop during your trip or after a long day of hiking in the black forest. So if you are looking for good food, friendly service, great drinks, and cosy atmosphere, don't miss this place. It is always full of local, so better make a booking before getting there.

Always a good stop ... especially for a little Rumpsteak 🤠 even though you're talking about 400g roundabout.

Nice location, comfortable rooms, clean and tidy. Very nice and welcoming staff. Good breakfast as well.

A nice place with a few drawbacks, but I give it 5 stars for the experience I got for the price. Shower and bathroom were great. Breakfast was great as well. Temperature was a bit warm at night (no a/c, in August), but opening the window made it comfortable for me. The stay here was fantastic, after the new remodel this place looks fantastic and I would recommend it to everyone who needs a room close to Freiburg. With your stay you get a transportation pass which allows you to take the train into Freiburg which is convenient because parking is a hassle. Breakfast is included in the stay and is very delicious, and the man running the place has some serious people...

5 stars for the restaurant The dinner was a generous portion of delicious, well presented, traditional food. The value for money is amazing! They have many vegetarian options on the menu. The staff were very friendly and professional. Very satisfied with the whole experience.

Nice hotel, with a good restaurant and breakfast (both at acceptable costs). Comfortable room, however a bit noisy in the morning if we are on the street side. Overall good place to stay to visit the surrounding areas.

Good location with short walk to the train station which will take you where you need to go. Nice room, but dusty, including the toilet. While overall it retained a clean feel the toilet door was grimy on inside as though it hadn't been wiped down and overlooked for some time. Not good enough, especially with Covid still floating around. Breakfast buffet was overpriced at €14 pp and not a good range...

Great friendly, helpful staff, comfy rooms. Would have given it full rating if the doonas hadn't turned into a battleground through the night and maybe a full length mirror would have helped.. shower/bath to die for. Food pretty decent and lovely vibe overall.

I tried two dishes. The "Rahmschnitzel" and the "Rostbraten". The schnitzel was way too dry and the cut was too thin, but the "Rostbraten" was excellent. The restaurant is expensive and the portions are relatively small. The restaurant is special because there are many employees with a disability. The waiters are very friendly and often happy.

Cosy, cosy in the winter super in the summer. Lovely rooms, helpful staff, and the food, well come and try it this is our third visit. These fotos are not far from the hotel. Even though there is a station you cannot hear the trains. Food? All sorts available, for your small appetite, to your hunger has been met.

We stayed here with a large group of adults plus a few little kids for our annual get-together-weekend. Location The guest house lies very conveniently located in Kirchzarten just a short walk to the train station with a bakery opposite the street and there's a little cafe (Solar Café) for nice breakfast or cake right at the entrance. I am American, so I am a bit of a burger expert. My expectations are very high when I order a burger anywhere, especially in Germany. The birke burger was so juicy and delicious, I didn't want it to end. I never enjoyed a burger from Germany so much. Definitely the best. I will keep going back to the Birke until I die. It was THAT good. Not to mention, the waiter was very cute

What a find!! I stayed here for one night after delivering a car locally. This place is very clean, very welcoming and the food was great. I ended up having a great evening drinking beer and chatting with some of the locals. Thankyou Moritz your hospitality was spot on.

The food is excellent, no typical schnitzel-fries cuisine, but homemade dishes, fine sauces, rather small dishes. A small star kitchen in a traditional ambience. Anyone who knows it: in terms of food, comparable to the Schlegelhof!

Fantastic hotel. Owned and managed by the family since many years. They have around 20 rooms, super clean and well maintained. Breakfast is good. Comfortable bed. It is only few minutes walk from train station. Simon and his mother are very helpful and friendly. We loved it. In case, you go out and come late in night, there is door at the back beside kitchen through which you can enter using the key...

I liked practically everything. There were few minor issues listed below. But I very recommend this place.

We celebrated our wedding in the Scheune at the Adler a couple of weeks ago and felt very taken care of. We worked the closest with Sandra and Axel and they were absolutely wonderful and accommodating, even though our event took almost 3 years for our event to become reality (due to Covid). My husband is from Germany and of course speaks the language fluently. My German, however, is not very strong...

Authentic place, great food, a bit pricy.

Es war alles sehr gut, da wir „blind“, also ohne Tippgeber befragt zu haben, waren wir sehr zufrieden. Eine vollkommene und gepflegte Ausstattung der FeWo. Für Familien mit Kindern uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Wir mögen harte Matratzen in den Betten, die wir vermisst haben. Aber sonst ein doppeltes Plus, wir kommen sicher wieder. Tolle Vermieter, super Lage. Ausgezeichnet!

After all, nice again

Our accommodation for a week. Much too short for the children, would have liked to have stayed longer. Great view from the courtyard, very nice hosts, very good accommodation and delicious schnapps. Something for everyone. Ideally located to explore the Black Forest. Clear recommendation.

Because it's really beautiful here. The apartment is great. The Martin family is wonderful.
