The restaurant food was good, however the service was not enough to wait for the dishes -we have waited for about 1 hour to get our dishes. This isn't a reasonable time to wait .

I had dinner here with my husband. I had low temperature cooked beef and my husband had salmon. The food was amazing and the service was very friendly.

The single room is very small but comfortably furnished. The hotel location is central and relatively quiet. The breakfast offering was good and sufficient. I found the price level of the restaurant to be too high.

Breakfast was the best part of this hotel, and the staff were really friendly. Overall our stay was ok, the rooms at not at all sound proof and through no fault of the hotel a man was shouting in the middle of the night and kept me up, then there’s the 7am church bells. If you’re a light sleeper I’d avoid, if not give it a stay!

The comfort room is very clean and the terrace is wonderful. It took only 15 min. to Freiburg downtown. The surroundings of the hotel is quiet. I will definitely visite again this hotel, if I would come to Freiburg!

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und stilsicher und trotzdem modern eingerichtet. Den covid-19 Bestimmungen entsprechend war das Angebot eingeschränkt, es hat jedoch an nichts gefehlt. Ein großes Dankeschön an die Wirtsleute, die trotz Todesfall in der Familie das Angebot aufrecht erhalten haben.

Very good food and a nice Schwarzwald-style place

Nice restaurant with typical food. It's a good place to stop during your trip or after a long day of hiking in the black forest. So if you are looking for good food, friendly service, great drinks, and cosy atmosphere, don't miss this place. It is always full of local, so better make a booking before getting there.

Always a good stop ... especially for a little Rumpsteak 🤠 even though you're talking about 400g roundabout.

Lovely Boutique Hotel Our room was lovely, spacious and clean. The service was excellent. Only concern is the room was warm and the giant window only opened a crack. The room did have three fans, which we used all night. Other than ventilation, it’s a great boutique hotel!

We enjoyed our stay. Nicely renovated, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet. The nice surprise was the train pass we were given upon our arrival and the close proximity of the train station. We took the train into Freiberg and it was super easy and better than having to drive and find parking.

The food is excellent, no typical schnitzel-fries cuisine, but homemade dishes, fine sauces, rather small dishes. A small star kitchen in a traditional ambience. Anyone who knows it: in terms of food, comparable to the Schlegelhof!

Comfortable in Freiburg The evening front desk clerk that greeted us was friendly. He recommended restaurants and called the restaurant we decided upon to acquire reservations for us. Wish our time wasn't limited in Freiburg, we would have liked to check out more of the city and surrounding area.

Spacious room, but could use a renovation. The flooring was carpet and had some old stains. I would suggest to remove the carpet and replace it with something easier to clean. Also the bathroom was rather old and could use an update. But for everything else it was a perfect accommodation. Breakfast was very good and staff was friendly.

Our accommodation for a week. Much too short for the children, would have liked to have stayed longer. Great view from the courtyard, very nice hosts, very good accommodation and delicious schnapps. Something for everyone. Ideally located to explore the Black Forest. Clear recommendation.

Very clean site with the best facilities I've seen on a site! Pitches are tight for bigger vans but a nice easy 40 minute walk in to the beautiful town centre is a must do!

Good place to spend a night. The sanitary building seemed quite new and it was very clean. One of the better showers I have had in a camping park. The pitches are small and it was quite crowded when we were there.

Really liked this site. The check in was with a lovely Italian lady who walked me to the available pitches so I could choose. The site was full that night so I'd definitely pre-book. The hostel-style dormitories were fairly comfortable and include full use of spa which was very nice. Be aware a €4.50 extra charge is made for bed linen and towels. Staff were helpful but not super friendly. The breakfast here is terrible! Do not buy it - go next door to Busse’s Waldcafe which offers a fantastic and generous breakfast buffet for about €11

A great place to look at Freiburg, as it is very central but quiet. We had a very spacious room with very good beds. The hotel consists of two buildings, the hotel and a building opposite that houses other rooms. The offered garage parking space was big enough, the staff was very friendly, everything was clean and modern and a good breakfast. So there is nothing wrong with it.

Cute room in the old building, with the restaurant being Michelin rated 2018/2019. Breakfast was really good, and owners super friendly. The only thing to beware of is, being in the old city, you need to pay for parking 18 Euros/day (discounted by hotel from 27 regular price of parking lot).

Good place for a stopover when traveling, nicely situated in the city center, so good for food and drinks. Rooms are clean and have all you need for 1 night . Staf is friendly and nice. Parking might be an issue when the garage is full, we managed to park right in front of the hotel. Was slightly moer expensive but it was good. I would go there again next time!

We stayed there for one night and it was excellent. We got a wonderful room overlooking the Münster. All rooms have recently been renovated. The style is beautiful, especially compared to similar not renovated hotels. Breakfast was great. It was very clean. Staff was very helpful and nice. We also got a welcome drink. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location. Average - good food. The price is higher than we expected. Very tight in manpower. In some moments, we could not find a waiter in the restaurant. A restaurant that will not give you good surprise but given its excellent location, it is fine to have a meal there after a walk in that area.

my first visit to the Hotel Oberkirch was in 1969 as a young child with my family. I've been going ever since. immediately across the square from the Münster, the Oberkirch is perfectly situated for those wanting to explore Freiburg. modern well appointed rooms, an excellent restaurant,!

This little gem of a hotel lies in the square surrounding the cathedral. Surrounded by restaurants and ice cream shops, it is convenient for a lovely day of strolling. My room was cozy and clean with an apple, a rose, and a comfortable bed. The proprietors were lovely and most helpful. I would gladly stay here again!

Fantastic hotel in a stunningly beautiful location in the city with very helpful and friendly staff and a top-rate restaurant.

Great spot, friendly staff and above all: excellent gnocchi fully home made from scratch. To explain: I rarely finish my plate where ever I eat but this plate was empty within 20minutes (my husband and son were still eating) and that's saying something as I have an unclassified eating disorder. I HIGHLY recommend.
