We stayed here for 2 nights prior to a river cruise. The Danube river was flooding from heavy rains and the hotel helped us with some alternate arrangements. Very kind of them.

Great pension. Great clean rooms. Unfortunately, no breakfast is available until March 31st, 2022, but you can walk to downtown Passau within 15 minutes. Highly recommended

Price / performance perfect for a short trip. Good location, 20 minute walk to the cathedral. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, adequate breakfast. Some rooms with a balcony are rare in city hotels

Happy to say that my stay in there was in December, when the wheather was so cold all around europe. Outside temp was below zero, but inside the room was 23'C. Very pleasant pit stop during my trip in Germany. I would recommend to anyone to visit, you will not regret.

We stayed at Pension Gambrinus for 3 nights. The house was new renovated and very cozy. It is not close to town, but it's easy to get rid of the car in Passau's parking garages. The house is close to the Austrian border. There are several good restaurants, both in Austria but also in the direction of the city. Very good breakfast with homemade apricot jam..

Clean and spacious rooms, very enjoyable. Distance to town is not a problem, especially if you arrived by car.

Our room was quite big, comfortable and, most of all, very clean. The beds were made every day, which we didn't expect in a pension. Breakfast is ok, you can find marmalade, yogurt, cheese, eggs, cold cuts, tea and coffee; we especially liked apricot home made marmalade.
