Today is one week that we left this hotel after spend there more than on month. I only have good words for this hotel. I belong to a work team that were staying at that hotel, by unanimous decision we extended our stay that was initially about two weeks. Great breakfast with natural orange juice great omelets and Sundays until 14:00 , close of Austria Border and 700 mts to Passau Downtown. We were...
I left thd hotel yesterday after 1 month staying there because of the work. And I have to say that it was the best hotel I have ever been in Germany. And I promise that I got experience about it. Lovely crew!! And a Manager, Claudia, who took take of us as no one before. Thanks so much to you all for making everything so easy!
The bad: room was hot and no air conditioner or fans (open window is only way to cool off, but that lets in bugs and noise). Birds started chirping at 5 AM. Blanket/duvet is thick and too hot. The shower has no door, so floor gets wet. The good: 6 different kinds of FREE drinks in the mini-bar in the room. Fast internet. Best breakfast of my trip; and served from 6:30 AM. The hotel advertised...
Rooms are good and quite. The beds are amazing. Free minibar and good breakfast (although food placement is somewhat confusing). Great service from staff. We had the bathroom door malfunctioning, and they sent a very professional person. The bad thing is that it is located in not so attractive place in the city, and even with bicycles, it is not so pleasant to go around. When you have such a nice city...
It's a good hotel, the outside does not reflect the inside. The rooms are spacious, modern and functional, you get a TV, a FREE minibar, free and good wifi, and to top it off, RGB lighting in the rooms. Definitely worth passing by.

This is a nice comfortable hotel on the river, Danube. It is in the same building as the glass museum. The decor and furniture are old style. They have different categories of rooms. Depending on size. We har the smallest and it was really good. It was possible to park my motorcycle outside. It is street parking. Stayed here twice.
Small room but comfortable. On the river. No a/c though .staff very courteous and helpful
Lovely sunlit room with enclosed veranda. Very comfortable bed and very well located on the banks of the Danube.
Great hotel with spacious rooms. Very clean and comfortable. Super helpful staff at reception. Excellent location for walking or getting just about anywhere in central Passau. Good bike storage inside. Some reviewers complain about the “older” building, which I don’t understand. Every building in this part of a Passau is old! It’s historic and I found the Wilder Mann to be charming, not a cookie-cutter...
Really nice hotel. Lots of interesting decoration and photos too. All staff were extremely helpful too. Top marks. Directly on the Donauradweg. They also have a good storage area in the entrance for bikes.
What a fantastic old hotel with period furniture along with modern facilities. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is served in a rooftop dining room with enormous windows on two sides. There is no bar per se but bars and restaurants are in abundance in the neighbourhood. The building also houses the Glass Museum with over 10 000 exhibits. Well worth a visit.

Great location, nice room, Good price / quality ratio Very helpful team despite going through a flood day
Very good hotel in a unique, comfortable quiet place!
Clean rooms, friendly staff, very reasonable
Great location in the old section of town. Has own garage
Very nice hotel and staff. Good breakfasts too. The rooms were much larger and nicer than we expected. The hotel was in a quiet and easy to access part of Passau too. All good!
It is a beautiful place to visit.

Loved pur stay. They went over and above for me and my little dog to have a great time and a good rest. Can't recommend them enough if travelling with pets. The view of the Danube is perfect too ❤
Lovely small hotel across the street from the Danube. We had a nice, large room which was spotless, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning. The location is great for walking around the old town of Passau and enjoying views across the Danube as well as walking along the nearby Inn river.
Stayed one night before going on a Danube river cruise. The staff were very nice, friendly and curtious. The room was pleasant with a wonderful view of the river. The hotel was also located in the middle of tourist country. A step out the back door and you are in the tourist district.
The hotel is located on the bank of the Danube and has access to the main shopping street. The rooms are clean and large, with a nice view of the river. Even if the road next to the hotel is busy, there is no noise that could disturb you. The hotel is not big, the only problem could be parking. The staff is very friendly and always at your service. There is a large selection of restaurants and cafes...
A truly Bavarian Hotel, simple and immaculate. Friendly staff. When we told them we were leaving before breakfast started, we were immediately offered a packed lunch. We were also brought cocktail of the day as a complimentary drink. We were also given take away coffee I'm the morning. A really nice experience.
A nice hotel, decent price with a decent breakfast. Big plus: there are two entrances - main entrance that takes you to the parking lot and the cruise ships, and the other one that takes you to the old town. The only fault - a bit complicated to park one’s car as their garage is small and elsewhere the parking is restricted and meter maids are strict.

Passau, Schärdinger Straße 66 🧭 Map
The way up to the Hotel over Mariahilf is very very steep, so be aware of that when you choose your route to get there. There is parking in the courtyard, and two entrances, one with a couple of steps and the other one even ground at the back entrance (that’s the one to use when you come home late, the door opens with the room key). There is no lift, and no hotel rooms in the ground floor so even though...
Didn't stay at the hotel but went for dinner. Very Nice location - the building is very classic furnished even if somewhat dates of high quality and taken care of.......... Now to the food - The price level for what is received is excellent and extremely good value and fair. The meals consumed were tasty and well presented - definitely worth another visit. One remark to be improved - The service...
It is located right at the border of Germany and Austria. The room was perfect and the service was exceptional.
Brilliant, so so friendly, nothing is too much trouble, thank you so much for making us relax after a very long day we had, thank you for putting something together to eat even though the restaurant was closed and thank you for the snaps to help me sleep, we will be back,
Very cozy and simple hotel. Very good, practical food. All the staff are very friendly, nice and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and clean. The execution price is absolutely ok. I felt very comfortable here and came back again and again.
Very good hotel and restaurant! Delicious food, super friendly staff and clean rooms. Great attention is paid to hygiene here. I have also booked here several times (before Corona). Now I also regularly and can recommend this hotel and restaurant to everyone in the current situation! Since I travel a lot for work, I am always happy to return to the beautiful Waldschloss :-) 5 stars!!!!!

Beautiful, spacious room, tastefully decorated, with an incredible view over the Inn. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. As requested I got a room with river view. Personal are very nice and they speak English. You have to pay for parking 8.00 euros. Breakfast is also very good.
Nice and cozy hotel, a bit old styled but still nice. Free no password whatsoever Wi-Fi internet! Parking is very easy just in front of the hotel. Breakfast is decent with no buffet, the food is served.

Beautifully furnished with spacious rooms. Well kept, very clean, housekeeping every day in the morning, the room is tidied up. The breakfast is a wide variety and high quality, well worth the price. Great breakfast, decent Wi-Fi and clean rooms. Quiet room away from the main street. Centrally located. We would stay again. Kettle in room and coffee would earn them the final star.
Centrally, at the beginning of the pedestrian zone, located (10 min stroll from the train station). In the winter months the hotel's restaurant is closed except for breakfast. Rooms & bathroom are plenty big and modern. As so often, only one chair is available, which forces the 2nd person to sit on the side table or bed.
Nice place with clean and pretty large rooms. Located in the city centre.
+ nice place with great location + clean rooms + nice/kind staff - restaurant only serving breakfast (as such no room service) - very very narrow entrance for parking (it was very challanging with an SUV)
Schönes, ruhiges Hotel in der Passauer Altstadt. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Parkhaus vorhanden aber Zufahrt ist sehr eng! Ansonsten aber klar zu empfehlen.

A one night stay. Hotel was comfortable and clean. Couldn't find a lift anywhere so carrying luggage up and down 2 floors kept me fit lol The hotel is a little way out of Passau by car but is in pleasant countryside. Car park was full when we arrived , but that was due to one part being closed because a tree was being cut down. In the restaurant the food was good and a varied menu.

Great location and clean tidy rooms with a pedestal fan for cooling. Close to shops and restaurants, but a few guests including us had trouble with the door codes and entry. WiFi advertised but not available (no compensation offered). We sought help 4 times and the response was, at best, rude. Good concept and property, but poorly managed.
It was pretty good. The room was small & cozy. Good enough for a single person. But there were no facial tissues in the room. TV was available but I couldn’t find the remote. The rooms come with Coffees & a bottle of water. You can make coffees with the coffee machine inside. Self Check In was super easy
The bedroom was clean. The staff cleaned the room daily. You get a coffee maker and coffee plus carbonated water in the bedroom. Even though it is self check in, it was an easy process. The location is closer to the train station, shopping mall and shops.
The hotel is close to the city center, train station and other relevant places in the city. The price was reasonable and cheaper in comparisson to other hotels. I stayed there for 5 night during a business trip. It was quite, clean and comfortable. The Self check-in and check-out procedure were easy to follow.
Clean, can drive to the front of the hotel to unload. But have to look for parking elsewhere.
Excellent place to stay so easy to access nice cleaners

It's a very nice hotel, although the room was a bit smaller than expected. The bath towel was also a bit on the small side. On the positive side, the room came complete with a kettle and beverage kit. The bed was very comfortable and there was an electric fan tocombat the warm weather. One down side is the parking. Whilst yhere is free parking available, it is a couple of hundred yards up hill from...
Located probably a 15 minute walk from the centre, the location is nice. I chose this as it had parking and I wanted somewhere secure for my motorbike, but they charge €20 to park so may as well stay in the centre and pay to park. The room was nice, and breakfast was reasonable.
The room was alright. Nothing outstanding, just fine. Huge minibar, though. As the hotel is next to the street, noise is a bit of a problem, but earplugs are provided. Breakfast was wonderful. From eggs and bacon, fish, sausages, tomato and mozzarella to all kinds of sweets. It was just a lot bigger than we expected. Overall good experience 👍🏼
The hotel is excellent, with clean and well-maintained rooms. Breakfast offers a wide selection. The only drawback is the lack of an iron and ironing board.
Friendly and beautiful staff. Clean and well decorated lobby. Lovely rooms with all the amenities. Parking isn't great, but the experience more than makes up for it. Will definitely be returning!
Very clean , amazing and polite staff. But outdated furniture feels like 1990s. Not enough english papers in bedroom , no A.C plus parking is not free , it's 7 euro per night.

Great service, very confortable, nice and clean.
Overall, the hotel was comfortable and clean. The towels and bedsheets were nice and clean. However, the bathroom had a strange smell; it seemed the water in the toilet bowel is the issue. The stuff were friendly and helpful. It was pity that the hotel decided to remove water boilers from rooms; I believe, the water boilers are essential item like the hair driers. I would recommend the hotel to my...
We have stopped for a night sleep with our 8 month old baby and our little dog. The rooms were clean and tidy. The service was amazing. We have asked for some boiled water at night and they have given us a cattle. Also not to mention I have been given a free beer which is more than 5 star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟+ guest service.
Room we stayed was nice and clean, but some stains on bathroom door frame. Easily missed by staff, so not too bothered. Otherwise pleasant stay. Pet friendly, plenty of parking spaces, tasty breakfast and quiet location. Will recommend! Thanks a lot!
We are so impressed this hotel nice location, well customer care, good clean and high quality, good house keeping,so tasty breakfast and superb management. Well done ?.
It is modern and clean. Think Travelodge if you are from the UK. We stayed here as part of a self guided cycle journey along the Danube. Cycle parking is in a open access underground car park. Not the best but we had no problems. The hotel is some way out of Town, we cycled but this would be too far to walk. Did not have breakfast here.

The receptionist, Kristin, was extremely friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Excellent place where to find a piece of relax. Perfect location, very friendly and helpful personel.

The best hotel I stayed. I travel alone and stayed in a lot of hotels most of the time the dont pay any attention to me. The service whas great the staff are correct and really kind. Rooms where so clean I whas surprised I going to come back to dis place thats for sure
This is a very modern and comfortable hotel. Our room was quite large and the bathroom was high end. It had a rainfall shower (additionally to the regular shower) and it looked very new. I would advise against the patio room, because the neighbors can see into you room unless you close the shades, which is highly unpractical in summer if you want to leave the windows open. The breakfast is really really...
5+ stars for this wonderful Riverside retreat. The rooms are immaculate and stocked with essentials. The staff are friendly, speak English, and more than accommodating. One thing that stuck out to me was when I was sitting in the lovely canopied garden, the staff asked me if I needed anything by name. It's the little things like this and more you can expect from this fine establishment. Bravo!
