Where to stay in Passau

The lock is very good and new technology compare to most Hotel. It's close to train station and very convenient.

The room facilities are OK, the hygiene is OK, and the bathroom is fully functional. There is a window for ventilation, which is also good. The breakfast on the sixth floor has a complete variety, and the fruits are very good, especially the pears are very sweet and delicious.

Very happy with my experience at this hotel. Very charming and peaceful in a good location with clean, adequate rooms with charming furniture. The small room was efficient and perfect for myself. I appreciate the simple and efficient booking and check-in process without tons of paperwork, rewards programs, and attempts to sell upgrades and add-ons. I will happily stay here again.

I have never stayed at a hotel in germany wich such kind staff, everything was super clean and neat. If u want the experience of staying at a historical building, this is the place for you. Also it's in a very cool area yet perfectly silent to sleep peacefully at night.

This is a nice comfortable hotel on the river, Danube. It is in the same building as the glass museum. The decor and furniture are old style. They have different categories of rooms. Depending on size. We har the smallest and it was really good. It was possible to park my motorcycle outside. It is street parking. Stayed here twice.

One of the best hotel i stayed in Passau ! Near the danube river and near the city cultural center. Lots of restaurants and terraces. Big parking place atvthe back of hotel on the side with the Danube. Very good breakfast.

Great hotel, but simple. Everything you need for a nights rest but not much more than that. Reception staff are friendly. Rooms come with free bottle of water and stocked mini fridge that you need to pay for anything you take. Hotel cleaning staff gets to work early so don’t expect to sleep in. And the location is about 15-20min walk from the train.

We stayed here for one night pre cruise. Excellent place. Clean room. Excellent breakfast for €12 each. Good coffee machine (made amazing cafe latte - I had 3...😁). Comfy bed. No A/C but they have a fan. Good location. Would recommend.

This is a great place if you just need a room to sleep in! If you want to explore the city and will be using the room just to sleep, this is a perfect place.

Since options in Passau were limited we opted for this hotel. As some guests have mentioned this has more of a feel of a hostel. Rooms are small as described but enough for one night. There is a cage for bikes with security. You can leave luggage in a holding room if needed. The breakfast is a Standard buffet. The bathrooms are clean. The only complaint is that there is no sign for informing guests...

I booked this last minute and sigh unseen so you can imagine my surprise on arrival. This place doesn't look like a hotel, it's design is very much out there. Very cheerful (too cheerful for me, but I'm a bit of a grumpy guy...). More a youth hostel than a hotel. Tiny rooms with only space for a bed. Shared bathroom (very clean, at least when you're the first one in) across the hall.

I thought the receptionists were friendly and I was happy with my room and the breakfast. However, the name of the hotel implies it is near the river conjunction. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

This is an excellent hotel with easy access to old town. The rooms are well appointed with all of the amenities including wireless Internet access. We found the hosts warm and friendly. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and wonderful selection of breads.

Spent an enjoyable weekend for 2 in a nice 4 star hotel. It was a toss of the coin between this hotel and one more into the city centre and honestly we didn't regret it. Really enjoyed recent stay at hotel. Check in was seamless, room spacious, comfortable, clean with really comfy beds and a great balcony. Food was delicious, and the staff could not have been friendlier. The resaurant staff especially were superb. I look forward to staying again.

I am writing a review to commend the staff of this hotel when I was in need of assistance they stepped up and were wonderful. The young woman at the front desk was terrific! I cannot say enough good things about her. The hotel was very clean and the location was good.

Basic accommodations Based on the reviews I thought the hotel would be of a higher standard. No elevator had to carry luggage up stairs.

If this hotel had been billed as 3* I would give it a rating of four or five. It's attractive. The rooms are nicely finished. We had a little terrace. The breakfast was excellent. I left thd hotel yesterday after 1 month staying there because of the work. And I have to say that it was the best hotel I have ever been in Germany. And I promise that I got experience about it. The bad: room was hot and no air conditioner or fans (open window is only way to cool off, but that lets in bugs and noise). Birds started chirping at 5 AM. Blanket/duvet is thick and too hot. It's a good hotel, the outside does not reflect the inside. The rooms are spacious, modern and functional, you get a TV, a FREE minibar, free and good wifi, and to top it off, RGB lighting in the rooms. Definitely worth passing by.

The way up to the Hotel over Mariahilf is very very steep, so be aware of that when you choose your route to get there. There is parking in the courtyard, and two entrances, one with a couple of steps and the other one even ground at the back entrance (that’s the one to use when you come home late, the door opens with the room key). For the price and location i would definitely recommend. Only minutes 15 walk to the Veste Oberhaus, docks and 3 minutes to Passua Hbf its perfect for a night or two. Beds, toliet and shower were clean and comfortable. Bottle water, tea and coffee provided and a great a spot inside where you can leave luggage before collecting key. Plenty of restaurants,supermarket and cafes only around the corner...

It tells Self Chek-in Service but you need to call first the hotel for the access code for you to get the key. They didn’t give the access code in advance at-least 2-3 hours prior to Check-in Time so that when you already at the location it is easier for the guest to do Self-Check. What if the customer doesn’t have internet yet. Thankfully the City have free wifi so that it can call for free via internet

Self check-in and -out. Room could use a tissue dispenser, refill of soap; the Nespresso machine was a nice feature.

Great location and clean tidy rooms with a pedestal fan for cooling. Close to shops and restaurants, but a few guests including us had trouble with the door codes and entry. WiFi advertised but not available (no compensation offered). We sought help 4 times and the response was, at best, rude. Good concept and property, but poorly managed.

Centrally, at the beginning of the pedestrian zone, located (10 min stroll from the train station). In the winter months the hotel's restaurant is closed except for breakfast. Rooms & bathroom are plenty big and modern. As so often, only one chair is available, which forces the 2nd person to sit on the side table or bed.

Schönes, ruhiges Hotel in der Passauer Altstadt. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Parkhaus vorhanden aber Zufahrt ist sehr eng! Ansonsten aber klar zu empfehlen.

Right in the centre, clean and with low prices. It doesn't have parking place, but you can park at the city parking, under the bridge, at 100m away. Unfortunately wifi signal is very weak in some rooms.

My overall experience was ok. The room was pretty small and the carpet was very dirty. Thankfully the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was properly cleaned. You could hear the noise from outside very clearly which was irritating when a car-alarm went off a couple a times during one of the nights… The breakfast was ok but could absolutely be better.

Very good value for the money paid (with breakfast) via Booking. Good choice for a break on a long journey. A bit difficult to find, but once you know it's all fine. Good access to autobahn 3.

Excellent! We went onto journey London - Bratislava by car and had to sleep over here with our dog; which was no problem at all. Also the room was very clean including the bathroom. Great facilities! Free apples at the reception; there was water for dogs there and dog food too!

If you arrive by car make sure you also reserve a parking spot it is in the basement. Elevator goes from garage to room. Easy to transport your luggage. Fabulous breakfast. You can take a boat from across the hotel to Vienna Melk and Linz . Super convenient

A Lovely Hotel A very pleasant hotel! The staff were gracious and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was enormous. And best of all was the location - the hotel opens right out onto the old city. Sightseeing is within easy walking distance.

Located probably a 15 minute walk from the centre, the location is nice. I chose this as it had parking and I wanted somewhere secure for my motorbike, but they charge €20 to park so may as well stay in the centre and pay to park. The room was nice, and breakfast was reasonable.

Hotel Atrium is a beautiful purple hotel that had just what we needed for an overnight stay in Passau. It had the most delicious breakfast, of our entire 2 week vacation through Europe, that was included with our stay. The room was alright. Nothing outstanding, just fine. Huge minibar, though. As the hotel is next to the street, noise is a bit of a problem, but earplugs are provided. Breakfast was wonderful.
