Hotels in Prien am Chiemsee

The food is really good and the rooms are nice. There are a lot of staff in training and the management feels rather chaotic but overall there is barely anything to complain about.

Wonderful location on the Chiemsee. The hotel is set back a few hundred feet from the lake and there are trees, so only some of the rooms have a view. Our room, however, was on the noisy road side, so not as fantastic an experience as we hoped for. Staff very friendly and helpful, Lovely spa facilities, well located for amenities. There was some difficulty initially with room description of booking site (we paid for a balcony room, but room had no balcony). This was resolved by giving us the only free room in the hotel, without balcony, but charging reduced rate. A shame, but the only option available.

Wow, so beautiful. 4th floor room is quite warm under the roof. Views of lake are amazing. Food did NOT match the location or staff. Ok but not of the class of the rest of the facility. Poor internet in the room until I discovered the consumer router bolted to the back of the desk, pulled the power plug and reset. All ok from there. Lift does not go to top floor so you need to schlepp your luggage...

This hotel, located in a rather remote part of Germany, is overpriced for what they offer. They have poor internet service and no place to check email. They also do not even have a corkscrew. On the plus side they do provide an excellent breakfast and the rooms are clean. The best plus is a one star Michelin chef and his restaurant about ten minutes away. Friendly and helpful staff. The first impression is good, the hotel looks good. The check in was great, without any problems. The room was spacious and clean. The bed comfortable. Breakfast - a great choice, good coffee. We had an evening meal and it was good, large portion and tasty. The only negative point is that the parking space is not paved.

We had a nice, large room. Location is very good, breakfast is fresh and good. Dinner is also well above average.

Hotel and cafe with great cakes. Nice place for afternoon tea/coffee. Have not tried their savoury menu. Lovely location with Chiemsee Views. Probably a nice place to spend nights.

Good restaurant with delicious food and good service. Located right opposite to the harbour, which made the quest for restaurant (& food) after a day of sightseeing around the lake very pleasant. The Apfelstrudel was delicious; we tried it because of the Strudel day recommendation. I will recommend it to others.

Great place to stop on the road south. Reasonable room for good price. Selection of restaurants within minutes walk. Delightful breakfast room full of light in winter. Great breakfast buffet. Good staff.

Very good service - although we arrived well after 22:00 when the reception did not work, the employees found a way to accommodate us. Comfortable parking. Wonderful morning walk along the shores of the lake after a rich breakfast / there were even 3 types of fish /, a wonderful location on the shore of the lake. You will be pleased. Great place with an amazing lake view outside! Hotel staff is quite friendly. Dinners (especially the fish from the lake) and breakfasts were awesome and very well served.

Service was excellent. The fish was super fresh from the lake and cooked to perfection. The side dish of potato salad was homemade and tasted very good. The portions are also quite generous. Beautiful hotel, great views of the lake and mountains, and you can have your evening meal outside looking over the same. You can walk to the lake's edge (literally outside the hotel) and admire the views. The food is excellent. Very high quality and the hotel is great value for the price. Just be aware you may need to get a taxi from the station as it isn't walking distance.

We have been there for lunch. They had a special menu for the first half of March which is really impressive. Food was superb and prices were reasonable for what we got. They have fish and meat but you can get vegetarian food (really?), most provided locally. Nice beach, you can even rent a boat. Nice to sit outside, because it is a little remote and silent. Perfect view of the Alps and the lake.

A beautiful hotel, awsome breakfast, the best location for lots of activities (with a covid test center at the end of the street). Plenty of parking. Reliable WiFi. A communal fridge in the downstairs corridor. A long bike stand outside the main entrance. Lots of local restaurants.

It's a bit pricey for the old rooms, especially bath room, but otherwise ok. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

Really nice family room - in the old building with views over the lake. Very clean and friendly staff. Surprisingly quiet - given that our room overlooked the outside area of the restaurant. Only criticism is very poor WiFi signal (critical when travelling with teenagers!) and the fruit salad, which was really an 'apple salad' - perhaps the other guests got there first and picked out the good stuff

Perfect accommodation for people who want to be away from all the whirlwind of touristic areas. The owner is very nice and helpful and her father is also very nice and helpful. Can't go wrong. Every visit to Munich. This is a must visit. Atmosphere, vibe, people and music. It's the essence of Baveria.

We had 4 different meals and 3 different soups and everything was delicious, friendly staff all recommendations, big portions you will not leave this place hungry and disappointed.

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Nice sized rooms. Close to the lake. Nice view. It was ideal for walking around the town and seeing the sites.

Excellent location and friendly staff made our visit memorable, located on a very quiet street and has a beautiful garden on the riverbank, would recommend it to friends!
