Reviews
The wooden clad salons and dining facilities bring you back some 100 years but this does not apply to the guests, dressed in 21st century T-shirts, shorts, sandals and tattoos even for their Sunday dinner in the park. You have some difficulty imagining the guests of today playing monopoly in front of the open fire place a cold January week-end...
The hotel boasts serving locally inspired food; our dinner was not on the high side, rather the contrary. The gravlax produced using farmed Danish mini-salmon was served with fat-dripping rösti, a first in my culinary life. In contrast, breakfast was OK. Service was a mixture of positive and negative. Overall, we find there are improvements to be made to earn a higher rating than ours.
Nice hotel, good room and great surroundings. The fact that there is no restaurant or bar the day of my arrival came as a message after I booked (in addition there was just a smal food shack open in the adjacent village).
