Wonderful experience and magical atmosphere. Walking in the castle garden is beautiful as well as enjoying the relaxing spaces of the hotel. Absolutely recommended!

We landed at this castle hotel after 1400 km of driving from our home in western Switzerland. The hotel was constructed in the previous 19th century castle at the end of the 20th century, and our room, partly located below ground levels, did not appear to have been renovated since. The beds were hard like an old Mercedes-Benz car seat and you had to battle with the shower cabin doors to avoid the water...

Great Hotel. Wonderful library, and the breakfast was amazing. Fresh fruit and a cereal and seeds bar. The rooms are well kept, everything was cleaned and the staff was really friendly. I also enjoy the wellness and spa area. The spa is small but was in really good shape and there was complementary tea 🫖. We’re definitely coming back.

Best place to stay on the island of Rügen!

A beautiful place, with a great view, that everyone should see!

We have been coming to the Pension zum Schlossgarten for many years now. Also this time (14.08.-17.08.22) we were fully satisfied as always. Starting with the welcome, the good care during our stay (along with the fulfillment of special requests), to the breakfast and the warm farewell, there were no complaints. Even at the evening stop at the restaurant, nothing was left to be desired. We'll be back...

It would be easier to travel around in Rugen with a car.

5 star rating for the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The menu offers a great selection of regional and high-quality dishes. Our 3 courses were beautifully presented and very tasty. We didn't have to wait long for our orders. The ambience is appealing. We will be back.

Nice location, well maintained property. Cozy restaurant with good breakfast buffet. We stayed in the 2nd floor Sued room. The room’s door is in the stairway it is ver loud in the early morning since the service entrance of the hotel is at the bottom of the staircase. A better, soundproof door would probably help here. No parking on premises but lots of parking some 100m away.

A nice choice of place to stay in Rugen. The hotel is quite nicely done and the location is in a good location as well. The personnel are really polite and helpful, the food offered is high quality and diverse, and there are alot of amenities at your disposal in the hotel. All I can give is a positive feedback!

Everything, room's are very nice and comfortable

We came very late at night with a small baby The team was very helpful and arranged us everything very fast The restaurant waiter helped with sterilization of thr baby's bottles and the food at breakfast was very good. The bed is huge (200*200) so even though they gave us mattress for baby we let him sleep with us.

Nice 3***s hotel, located in the countryside, in a central place in the island of Rügen. A good choice for those who want to visit different places of the island. We had a nice large room on the 1st floor that included a small kitchen. The restaurant is above average, and can be recommended for the ones who like fine dishes.

We stayed here for two nights and it was really comfortable! Very good breakfast, especially the yoghurt! Thai-dinner night was extremely good too! The foam soup is amazing!

Rooms are wonderful, food is perfect. The staff is friendly, hotel is childfriendly. We got a baby bed in the room when asked. Definetely recommend this one!!

Very, very nice place with fantastic staff

Nicely located in the edge of Rügen, however you can reach most of the 'important' locations within 20 min by car. Clean blocks, nicely equiped rooms and dog-friendly, good prices, I can only recommend.

Very nice ambience, very good service, but unfortunately a very short menu with only 6 dishes in total for starters and desserts. The dishes are good, but there is still a need for an extra choice for vegetarians and standards.

The most important part of the hotel is really the restaurant. Every day different with new beautiful dishes. Excellent wine list with reasonably priced wines. The location is very quiet and with a large garden and an extensive sauna with Turkish bath in the lower floor, you can stay here in peace. The service is great and personal. The rooms are stylish with modern bathrooms.

Absolutely fantastic place and highly recommended for awesome food and great service. We expected good food with great atmosphere and we became way more. Go for it if you have the chance

The hotel is nicely situated but best reached by car. The breakfast is good and the staff is friendly. The only drawback for us was a damp smell in the room.

Off the beaten path. Quiet. Nothing to do beyond the beach. But if this is what you are looking for, this option is affordable and convenient to the quiet beach.

Very nice place to stay as family, group or class. Rooms are comfy and the view from the upper floors is nice. You can rent everything! So if you forgot games or balls, no problem! Staff is very friendly and the food is good too! Worth a stay!

Well I should have known what to expect. I arrived on a Thursday and there were many young school groups. It was was living a real life nightmare. Kids screaming, running around at high speeds and slamming doors and destroying the bathrooms. All the school groups checked out on Friday so the weekend was like heaven and very quite. They kept everyone in my room, and there are some very strange people...

As others have mentioned, the check-in process is quite bureaucratic; I couldn't check in until the checkout time had ended, even though there was a vast empty field for me to put up my tent in! Thankfully they let me put it up in advance and check in later. Breakfast is included (as a matter of fact you cannot refuse it), and while the dessert was fairly good, their ham is an otherworldly experience...

Excellent bang for your buck! The staff was incredibly friendly, and to top it off, each room comes with its own private sauna. The inclusive breakfast is well-balanced and satisfying. The hotel's convenient location allows for easy access to tourist attractions via a nearby bus stop, just a quick 2-minute walk away. Overall, a truly pleasant experience!

I'll be honest, I gave the service one star only because when I arrived at the motel late at night. I wanted to wash, I went into the room, the room is cold. I thought, Well, at least I'll take a hot shower, at least there I'll warm up and go to sleep. After the hot water was turned on, and it flowed all the time, but there was no hot water, as it was only cold, I would have a suspicion. Why is there...

Really nice and basic room. We were welcomed by a gebtly lady who gave us the keys. Friendly lovely. Rooms are clean and a big plus u have a small table outside where u can sit and enjoy the evening... would be happy to stay another night and gladly come back here!

The huts that were in the back of the hotel were really nice. Comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. The only drawback was that the reception closed a bit early and opened a bit late, but the staff solved that quite simply.

Nice hotel close to Mukran. Lovely food and beers. If you want a hotel a bit away from Sassnitz then it is the place to go. The room i got was nice and clean and bathroom was also in good condition. Across the road there is a bakery where you can enjoy coffee and meals with the view to the harbour.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, always with a smile. Location is good, rooms are a bit outdated but in perfect condition and very clean. Room was cleaned and towels replaced every day with no request from us. There is a parking outside, a place to have a cigarette and rest with a beer too. Breakfast was standard in the good meaning - good variety of food and all fresh. I can recommend this place...

We are thrilled to be staying here for our second time, it is like coming home. Hotel am Market has this German charm and the Ungarischen Restaurant has one amazing Goulasch and Gurken-Salad. This is our second time visiting Rügen from Canada 🇨🇦 and we thoroughly enjoy staying here at Puszta and Hotel am Markt and dining in the Restaurant. The meals are truly home made and delicious, the staff are so friendly. They are a family run and operated business and if you want a fabulous German experience, this is the place for you. It is a very nice place to stay with a nice host family. The house is in the middle of the garden, so you can sit in the garden for breakfast. Everything you need to make ends meet is there. There are also many shops nearby. The only drawback is that the rooms smelled slightly of musty mildew, so that even unworn laundry had to be put in the washing machine after the holiday. We needed a place to stay on Rügen at short notice, which was almost hopeless in the main season. When I asked Mr. Schuldt (ruegenmagic), he took care of it immediately and we were allowed to spend 2 wonderful days in a nicely furnished and clean apartment in Glowe (close to the beach). Nice little hotel. The beds are very soft and low. Nothing for people with backs. The kitchen facilities are great. So you can make your own coffee or prepare something quick to eat. The breakfast buffet is very rich. For dinner we could choose between a fish and a meat dish as part of the half-board option.

Like every year, we, three families and two children, go to the Störtebeker Festival and are always in the same hotel "Beacon". The rooms, the food and the staff were all great. We will come back there again next year. Highly recommended by us Berliners.

It is the perfect weekend getaway for both family and friends. The resort boasts a fantastic indoor playground that quickly became my kid's favorite spot. The enormous pool is a highlight as well, staying warm even in the winter, which made for a delightful swim. The friendly staff and excellent amenities make this a destination we'll be returning to again and again. The dinner buffet was a bit expensive...

Great countryside hotel! Staff was very helpful and friendly.We had half-board, the food was always fresh and delicious, although drinks are not included during the dinner, prices are reasonable. The Splash aquapark is 2 minutes walking distance. For sure we will come back during the spring with our bicycles. Greetings from Poland!

Great place for families. Great/perfect room and breakfast plus super facilities for kids. I would have rated it five stars, but bad maintenance of the swimming area and no soap dispensers there really lowers the score.

the location is great, but the rooms needs to be maintained, no room service until requested and before 24 hours.

So, somewhat on the edge of making it a two but my little one enjoyed it, and that counts for something. The splash pool was included where we spent most of our time when being on the premises. It's quite alright but the indoor playground could use some upgrades, too. Worst part was the staff though. Be it at the hotel or the pool area. Most of them are rather standoffish and some downright weird...
