Where to stay in Rees

So far, since I am in Germany this is the hotel I enjoy the most. Really clean and the view is breathtaking. The breakfast is also rich and cheap. I highly recommend also the boat trip to Emmerich Later edit: another visit same perfect services :)

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it had many positive aspects. First and foremost, its location by Rhein was truly stunning. The view was a great backdrop, and it offered the opportunity for refreshing morning or evening runs or walks along the riverside. The room is great. It has a bath! A nice view of the rhine. The service was very friendly but the restaurant was bad.. extremely bad. The salmon was raw on the inside. The vegetables was still half frozen. It was clearly microwaved. The burger looked decent but the burger was black on the outside. So maybe not eat here..

This place has a great view of the Rhine River. Prices are fair considering the view. Very clean inside including the rest rooms. Possible to rent electronic bikes here for a ride down or up the Rhine along the dikes...

By Rees standards this place is quite nice. It's a bit classier but not pretentious. Decent service, good food, great view over the river. Hotel is pretty good too. Enough parking, e-bike rental and charging station, child-friendly.

The hotel and location was beautiful. We got a real family vibe and the whole experience made us feel similar to staying with relatives. The hotel looks stunning, and the restaurant is really good. The room we stayed in was big and spacious. The staff were really friendly.

I was expecting the hotel to be closer to the highway, anyway I liked the family mood that I found there. Good food, good beers, nice waitresses and beautiful room.

Have spent a wonderful short break here! The location right on the Rhine is beautiful, you can easily walk to the small city center with nice cafes and the free parking lot was not far away either. A great place to stay in the middle of the beautiful Rees. Highly recommended, also by bike, these come in a separate garage. The rooms are great and perfectly renovated. Everyone gave us a very warm welcome and we had a great breakfast. Many Thanks.

A really great place. We had room number 10 (under the roof in house number 14) for 3 days and can only recommend it. Very nice modern and furnished with everything necessary. Absolutely clean and well maintained, the bathroom is particularly noteworthy. The view through the open floor-to-ceiling windows on the Rhine (30 m away) was just great (the TV stayed off). We have been touring around Europe for 4 month. This has been the best hotel pension by far!! Super clean. Easy. Fantastic vibe to the rooms. Super breakfast. Amazing staff. Really if there's one place I would make as a dream pension it would be this beautiful place. I totally Recommend!

Stay every year in Xanten. Bledi and family who own the hotel are magnificent. They offer top class service and "moma's" cooking is wonderful. The rooms have been updated over the last few years but it still keeps the unique historic feel, but far more comfortable. You will enjoy the stay here. Xanten is also a cool place to visit.

A business trip where Myself and friends were treated like royalty by Bledi, his mother, and staff. Rooms were extremely comfortable with the quiet calmness of a library throughout the building. Restaurant is tops and we were treated to a spectacularly special dinner made by Mother herself. On site parking is limited, but public parking is actually easier and directly across the street. I stayed 1 night, Sat/Sun for a sports event in town. This easily could have been a five star review if it was not for the bed. Best breakfast in Germany so far. A hotel with a colour scheme. The colour scheme was blue. Really good bike parking in secure basement location. Bike pump and electricity for electric bike available.

Location is very central, only 10 minute walk from the train station. The hotel itself is clean, but not very modern. The staff is exceptionally helpful. The double room was quite standard, received a small fridge upon request. Unfortunately the beds were two single beds.

Very nice hotel we liked our stay. When we are in Xanten again we surrely want to stay in this hotel again. After a walk around the village looking for a restaurant we decided to have diner at the hotelrestaurant, because the menu looked the best. We were glad with our decision. The food was great. The quality of food was quite good and the menu had some interesting dishes. The service was very fast despite a busy evening at the restaurant and quite friendly as well. Didn't like the fact that you need to pay extra for ordering vegetables instead of potatoes.

A great place to stay if you want to spend some days in Xanten with your family. The apartment is situated in walking distance to the train station and to all interesting POIs. Very nice host, very clean rooms.

Nice apartments in the center, great location and clean. One star deducted, reason: The slatted frames of the beds in apartment "Brunhild" URGENTLY need to be replaced. It is good, but the beds/slatted frames make so loud squeaking and scratching noises with the slightest movement that you wake up yourself and your roommate several times during the night - terrible. We booked an overnight stay with 3 people because we visited the Roman Museum and took the ship across the South and North Sea the next day. Since the apartment is centrally located, we could reach everything on foot. Have a successful weekend ☆☆☆☆☆

We were a couple in Haus Siegfried. We liked it very much. The location was quiet, our bikes were safe in the inner courtyard and the welcome was great. We'll definitely be back.

Our apartment was very nice. Equipment was good and sufficient. The beds were on the upper floor and also very good. We had caught a very hot week for the stay - but the temperature was bearable even in the attic. Xanten is a very beautiful and interesting city with a number of sights. Are all recommended. The restaurant of the apartment owners, the Xantener Stuben, is highly recommended. Very tasty...

Highly recommended! The host was incredibly helpful and made our stay pleasant in every respect. The apartment is very comfortably furnished, with a nice garden for barbecuing, including garden furniture. The location is great, within a few minutes you are in the Xanten city center. We were in the apartment for two weeks, can only recommend the apartment and would love to come back.

Really easy check in on the machine outside. The cycling facilities were excellent; secure garage and the best bike pump I have ever used :) Nice connected room for two groups of two.

The room was well equipped, the bed was big and comfortable. There was coffee and tea with a kettle in the room. It was really very good for a business overnight stay.

Its a nice concept with no service, no reception. Everything works smooth with ATM like checkin machine. Small rooms with just enough space for a bed and a small table. Can not complain. The rooms are very clean. Opposite is a super market and the city centre is within walking distance.

Small bathroom, no airco regulation, only one person speaks English, which was a relief, great food though, but it takes ages to take an order, and the waiter does not like the fact you want to pay with card,

Excellent breakfast - with fresh cooked scrambled eggs, little breads, yogurt, granola and fruits, selection of hams and cheese and jams too... well worth it! The lunch/dinner menu is great too - unfortunately the restaurant was closed for holidays this time.

Great view, friendly people all-over and for my wife and me a great surprise: Fantastic Vegan Food! We did come now two times unannounced and both times had a feast with amazing starters and main courses, whipped up by the chef like he's doing is all day. It was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, there was a nice buffet breakfast in a nice dining room, it was centrally located so an easy walk to shops and restaurants plus a lovely waterfront promenade, the room was set up with a nice desk.

Family hotel I believe. Helping stuff, very clean. I got a quiet room, facing the back of the hotel, which was perfect after a very long day. Good parking, same for breakfast. Minutes walking to the Rhine and the restaurants area on the shore. Perfect for short stays.

I've spent about a month at this family owned hotel. Even though it's a quiet location (exactly my preference), within walking distance you can reach everything important. The family running the hotel is very nice and flexible if the guests have special requests. Really made me feel at home. Looking forward to my next stay there!

Perfect country feeling in this quiet hotel. The nature is so close in all directions, if you really want to relax in this area this is the perfect place to do it. One thing is better than the location and environment: the family. Their hospitality in all aspects were perfect. You can feel you are a member of this nice family. 🦇

Probably the best place to stay in the vicinity. I spent a few weeks here and it was just amazing. Shops / restaurants are in 5-10 min walking distance in the lovely town of Xanten. The owners of the hotel were so friendly and welcoming that at the end of my stay I felt like I'm part of the family. I will definitely visit again.

I have spent here several weeks and I enjoyed my stay. It's a family run hotel where people are kind and take care of everything. Breakfast is good, rooms are clean, the area is calm. However the hotel is in the outskirt of Xanten it's easy to walk into the city center within 20 minutes. To stay here is highly recommended.

It was truly AMAZING! We stayed there because our car broke down but everything exceeded my expectations. The hosts even made breakfast earlier for us. Truly amazing experience

A better pension would be difficult to find! My family has been guests at the guest house for over 10 years. The overnight stays there are always excellent. Everything is meticulously clean, lovingly furnished and the rooms are well thought out and equipped. In addition, there is a great breakfast and friendly hosts. You can understand why they are always fully booked.

Wow - just arrived here and have to say: what great service! People pay attention to the details, are quick and attentive. The food of the restaurant was delicious and the room is clean. I like the bathtub - you guys make me a good evening here.
