The surrounding area was fairly scruffy as clearly this part of Rostock is still in the process of development/improvement. Restaurants were on the other side of what was effectively a dual carriageway with few convenient crossing points but a good choice of outlets.
Rostock as a whole is not an obvious place to visit but there is plenty to see from both the historic and communist eras. The beach resort of Warnemunde is good for high-end shopping and eating although the beach itself is a disappointment. Bad Doberan is worth a visit for the minster church and the "Molli" narrow-gauge railway.
I was very satisfied with my staying here. 👍
Bathroom was very dirty, the shower has not been properly cleaned for years. If you stay here I recommend you do not look too close at the floor. The carpet in the room was also quite dirty with lots of unidentified spots.
Staff was very nice and helpful.
Did not try the breakfast.
Cheap hotel which is fine. Didn’t like the fact that both elevators smelt like vomit and that smelled stayed for the full week. Very poor attempt to clean it.
No closet, no kettle, no coffee machine.
Very slow speed for check in process.
Even in the lobby, you have to pay for coffee machine.
I should add this positive point that our room is very clean.
