Lovely, comfortable hotel, very nice and bright rooms. We also had a very nice view. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location high up in the mountains with fantastic views of the hills and small villages. Also a beautifully-decorated interior with a friendly staff.

Clean, but very dated decor. Manager very unfriendly and needs to work on hospitality skills. Plan on an early breakfast as buffet food is not replenished if you arrive after 9:15 AM. Great locale, with many restaurants within walking distance. Note: property has no elevator or AC

This is a charming and pleasant inn. It is clean and well maintained. We however found the bed mattresses to be saggy and lumpy. It’s important to know that the church clock across the road does ring out every quarter hour and the hour on the hour. Found the breakfast to be basic but good with some excellent bread and rolls.

We stayed here as a family of 4 and we all very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Hirschen in Sankt Peter. A lovely peaceful village and a really brilliant small hotel. The staff were very friendly and the evening dinner and breakfast were wonderful. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and at a very reasonable price. An excellent base for exploring the wonders of the Black Forest.

Cleanliness of rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast and a wonderful location to make it a great trip allround.

Stopped by for a 🍷 drink at sunset as they have a nice terrace overlooking the rooftops and area. It was a nice wine. Just an FYI it is a bit upscale.

Restaurant: We had a great lunch there. We ate fish from the local menu with local rosé wine and "black forest cake" for dessert. Delicious food, really nice service!

My favourite restaurant in the Freiburg area. Absolutely delicious food ! The place had a Michelin star in the past. High quality ! Gourmet place. 😊 Also the Ambiente is very nice. Including a sun terrace in summer. Very friendly owners. Great service. Reasonable prices.

Great atmosphere, beautiful place! However, I didn't think the food was very tasty... and the waitress kept mixing two different wines in my glass...! So very nice, but definitely not perfect.

Really good place and very much worth the price. I will gladly come back for the delicious food, cosy atmosphere and also the nice sauna. All of the staff are great people too. I cannot recommend it enough.

Good / friendly service. The food was above average and plenty of it. Two minor points. The main course arrived before finishing the starter. We ate outside and there were a lot ot wasps

We had a wonderful stay at Jagerhaus. Clean, spacious, accommodating. Breakfasts and dinners are the best we've had during our travels in the Black Forest. The sauna is HOT and a dive in the freezing water of the pool topped it off. Can't wait to come back for Christmas. Thank you, Ava!

Wonderful place, we stayed several nights, used their sauna, and ate breakfast and supper there. Staff is wonderful and attentive. Place is spotless and well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and ample. We enjoyed hiking and traveling around the area.

Lovely restaurant, great local Schwartzwald food and friendly staff. Loved the great salad buffet included with all mains and the great local Grantee beer! Highly recommended!

Hotel Löwen by Mastiff is one of the best placed I stayed ever. The location is stunning, staff is really good and great food. The hotel also has great view of Black forest and recreational facilities like pool, ping pong, etc. The heated swimming pool and sauna are icing on the cake. I will strongly recommend Hotel Löwen by Mastiff for all visitors.

Bee here a while ago. It's a clean and cosy place to spend a few nights. The room was fair for the charged amount. I want to point out the receptionist who was extremely nice and helpful.

Black Forest hotel stay Nice place to stay in the Black Forest region. Clean comfortable room. Check in was a small challenge due to language barrier, but quickly done. Restaurant food and service was great. There is no elevator to second floor in one building, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the set of stairs. The St Margen cloister museum nearby is a must see for any clock enthusiasts.

Fantastique ! It was 2 very pleasant nights. Rooms are clean, sober and modern. The bathroom needs to refresh but it's ok. Services are very good and sauna 😍 Sleep with open windows can be noisy...

Relaxing in Sankt Margen Lovely hotel with a family feeling and ideal for hiking lovers!!! This place is ideal for a phone, social media rehab as the surroundings are mesmerising . Quiet town where you can get really bored but very pleased in the same time. Staff very attentive and helpful when needed.

Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great food (both a la carte dinner and the breakfast buffet). Good value. We liked it and will hopefully come back again

Lovely Boutique Hotel Our room was lovely, spacious and clean. The service was excellent. Only concern is the room was warm and the giant window only opened a crack. The room did have three fans, which we used all night. Other than ventilation, it’s a great boutique hotel!

We enjoyed our stay. Nicely renovated, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Good breakfast buffet. The nice surprise was the train pass we were given upon our arrival and the close proximity of the train station. We took the train into Freiberg and it was super easy and better than having to drive and find parking.

Family managed traditional Black Forest Gasthof. Friendly staff und very helpful! Food is very good, local and fresh! The rooms are very clean - a bit traveling back in time - with newly renovated bathrooms. Dog was allowed after request. Card payment possible. Located right next to various hiking rounds - we did not need to take the car.

This place is one awesome place. The owner Frieda is a gem of a person.the food is outstanding. We had an asparagus soup and i wouldnt shy away from saying that it was the best Asparagus soup i have ever had.Also we had a grilled salmon which was mouth watering. the owner was also kind and generous and gave us alot of sweets to eat after the meal. Anyone visiting black forest should go...

We have stayed here on our biking trips for at least 6 times now. One of the best hotels we have stayed at ! Fantastic food,great value, spotlessly clean and great service , not to mention it is in one of the nicest parts of Germany. George, mum and co, we will be back !

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und stilsicher und trotzdem modern eingerichtet. Den covid-19 Bestimmungen entsprechend war das Angebot eingeschränkt, es hat jedoch an nichts gefehlt. Ein großes Dankeschön an die Wirtsleute, die trotz Todesfall in der Familie das Angebot aufrecht erhalten haben.

Nice restaurant with typical food. It's a good place to stop during your trip or after a long day of hiking in the black forest. So if you are looking for good food, friendly service, great drinks, and cosy atmosphere, don't miss this place. It is always full of local, so better make a booking before getting there.

Very friendly owner family. The restaurant has a new, light floor after renovation and is now even more inviting. As on previous visits, the food was outstanding and also very good value for money. Thank you for the wonderful vacation

The food is excellent, no typical schnitzel-fries cuisine, but homemade dishes, fine sauces, rather small dishes. A small star kitchen in a traditional ambience. Anyone who knows it: in terms of food, comparable to the Schlegelhof!

Hotel Hirschen Glottertal is a lovely hotel in a very quaint village. This is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for a home base around many hiking trails and beautiful nature. Always a very friendly welcome. Excellent food at the restaurant. If you are looking for "gastronomic quality food" you will find the right place. Prices correct, including alcool. Good quality hotel. Parking in front of hotel. Breakfast is " small' but nice, friendly service. Rooms are clean (good size room). We also had diner here which was nice. You can have a small walk around the hotel into the hills, especially in spring this is nice.

Traditional German Hotel Positives: A traditional German hotel. Nice people. Clean. Restaurant onsite. Negatives: Lumpy pillows, on the main road with heavy traffic overnight.

Our room was spotless, and despite our late arrival, the checkout process wasa breeze. We were particularly charmed by the hotel's decor, which evoked a lovely village and cozy atmosphere. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of air conditioning in the bathroom.

This was an absolutely charming location and place to stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and large. The staff were great! Very little English is spoken so be prepared. The hotel entrance is opposite the restaurant entrance which confused us when we tried to check in. The food is excellent!! I cannot wait to go back!!

The day we arrived, a member of the female staff received us in a rather cold manner. She didn't bother to show us our room. The boss ignores us in a masterful way when, for example, we want to go up the stairs; she doesn't move aside when we pass her, nor hello or smile. But behind the bar it’s something entirely different. Maybe there are commands in the key?? A very unpleasant thing is the smell...

The restaurant food was good, however the service was not enough to wait for the dishes -we have waited for about 1 hour to get our dishes. This isn't a reasonable time to wait .

I had dinner here with my husband. I had low temperature cooked beef and my husband had salmon. The food was amazing and the service was very friendly.

The single room is very small but comfortably furnished. The hotel location is central and relatively quiet. The breakfast offering was good and sufficient. I found the price level of the restaurant to be too high.

A small hotel lost in the Black Forest with tranquil surroundings and plenty of fresh air. Minimalist, not luxurious with a balcony overlooking a stream is a place to relax.

A lovely little hotel in the Glottertal wine valley. The staff is nice, very service-minded and friendly. We got a great big room with jacuzzi, great privacy and lovely view to the valley and the mountains. The restaurant was also lovely with greatly made local food and breakfast was excellent 😊

Stopover on our drive to Interlaken and just off the motorway. Nice typical German hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic and very reasonable. Only downside was lack of convenience store nearby.

Wonderful! We LOVED this hotel. It is a charming, olde-worlde hotel with excellent food, comfortable rooms and helpful and friendly staff. We have been on holiday round Germany, staying in many different places and this was definitely our favourite.

The restaurant here is extremely good, with super food served in really attractive traditional style rooms. We had dinner on both evenings and the staff were all attentive and paced the meals perfectly. The chef (owner?) came round to speak with everyone at their tables in the evening and we really liked this contact and interest. Our room was in the separate building back from the road so quiet...

The guesthouse it's beautiful, old style design. The personal it's friendly and welcoming and the restaurant it's fabulos. The Best food ever. Even if the food price are higher than other restaurant, the service and the taste make you fell that it's deserving the many.

We stopped to have lunch and what a surprise. The best place around. Delicious venison and beef and fish, great coffee and cappuccino, friendly service. What more can you expect?

Breakfast was the best part of this hotel, and the staff were really friendly. Overall our stay was ok, the rooms at not at all sound proof and through no fault of the hotel a man was shouting in the middle of the night and kept me up, then there’s the 7am church bells. If you’re a light sleeper I’d avoid, if not give it a stay!

The comfort room is very clean and the terrace is wonderful. It took only 15 min. to Freiburg downtown. The surroundings of the hotel is quiet. I will definitely visite again this hotel, if I would come to Freiburg!

We had dinner here in their beautiful garden. They have a great vegetarian menu and several vegetarian dishes with good value for your money. The dessert was sublime. The waiter (owner?) wasn't very friendly but the rest of the staff was.

The rooms are modern, very clean and have everything one needs. There was a desk with two chairs, a closet and even a small balcony. The staff was extremely friendly and we were able to work in the newly created open work space. Breakfast is decent, not huge but nice options and everything was tasty.

The hotels location is perfect. Its clean. In checking however took us more than half an hour. I would suggest to also have an option to check in at the main desk. This would be way more customer friendly

A pleasant experience with a few minor caveats. The rooms were clean with a few odd spots on the carpet. The bathroom was clean with the amenities being well stocked. The bed was comfortable and the charging points were conveniently placed. The only few problems were the air conditioning and the coffee machine. The air conditioning did not work well and we had to sleep without it on an exceedingly...

We had booked a 5 night stay - the room was a little on the small side for 2 people navigating, but efficient. A small fridge would be a great addition to the room. Location is great - walking distance to restaurants/shopping and the train station. The only draw back we found is that there is no physical person that can be addressed - all communication goes through a central office not located in town...

Hotel is good to stay short duration. It is clean. No coffee heater, no coffee available.

The room is a very good size, with comfortable beds and an excellent bathroom. The check-in service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. They should provide a water heater in the room.

Lovely hotel though perhaps a little uncared for now. Great staff for check in and breakfast. The dining room is great so shame there is currently no restaurant.

Comfortable in Freiburg The evening front desk clerk that greeted us was friendly. He recommended restaurants and called the restaurant we decided upon to acquire reservations for us. Wish our time wasn't limited in Freiburg, we would have liked to check out more of the city and surrounding area.

Spacious room, but could use a renovation. The flooring was carpet and had some old stains. I would suggest to remove the carpet and replace it with something easier to clean. Also the bathroom was rather old and could use an update. But for everything else it was a perfect accommodation. Breakfast was very good and staff was friendly.

Excellent location, very in the centre of the Black Forest.

3 wonderful days, a short vacation couldn't be nicer! We will be back soon and enjoy the wonderful gastronomy.
