A really nice hideaway in a quiet and very green area of the Saarland. The rooms are space, the wellness and spa area is new, clean and invites to relax and the different golf courses can be reached in less than a minute. MTB courses and walking tracks are nearby. The staff is absolutely amazing, friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back!

I couldn't have stayed at a better place. The service provided at the Wendels was exceptional. It really helped that breakfast was prepared in the mornings and the service that was rendered was very tasteful. I like that fact that the room had a DVD player with movies. My room was always comfortable to walk in after a long day of work. I must say this was a very pleasant place to stay.

Food was good. It is incomprehensible that you have to pay the salad extra. In my opinion, a salad is part of the meal. Only with some dishes is the salad included. This should be reconsidered.

Locally clean at first glance, but little things then fell on. Dead flies in the ceiling lamps or liquid soap from an open bottle without a dispenser in the men's toilet. But this newly painted and clean. At the food the opinions were a bit different. The schnitzel were very thin with a thick coating in relation to it. Very nice Waldrandlage with outdoor seating and delicious food and with direct parking. For a 3 star hotel above average fresh breakfast buffet. The rooms are clean, spacious and functional. The friendly and always helpful staff must not be forgotten so that the stay will be unforgettable.

Room was not what I requested. Had a bed upstairs. Spiral staircase. It was hot upstairs. They said they only had one room that looked like the one I booked with only one level and large bed. Did not try to satisfy the customer, only that I was wrong and not rooms like I ordered available. The woman managing the breakfast was awesome and does a great job. The restaurant food was great.

Check in nd most staff was somehow grumpy but seems to be a general problem of people in this region. Rooms furniture was out of date, there was for example a super old closet in my room. Breakfast was average, but there was a fantastic Italian restaurant directly in the hotel

Facilities and location are nice. And room condition was great. The only one thing I disappointed as foreigner was reception. If you cannot speak in Germany well, you would like to look for another hotel.

Friendly and clean rooms. The parking area very big and you don't have to pay for it. You very close to the centrum of the city. The breakfast was good but in my opinion too small. The variety of cheese for example could be bigger or different eggs.

The hotel was lovely and walking distance to everything we planned on doing. The breakfast was outstanding and even had crispy bacon, not normal in most European hotels - it’s usually undercooked and floppy. Rooms are a lot more spacious than B&B. I managed to get a room with an electronic bed that is similar and as good as the zero gravity bed and the shower had this special spa shower that smoothed the skin in the winter months. Even the bathroom mirror is equipped with the built-in screen for news, weather and radio. Will be back again very soon.

The restaurant had the best ham eggs benedict I've ever had. The coffee was nice and strong, the jams, butter, and margarine were amazing and the croissants were perfectly fluffy and flaky. The service was excellent. Would recommend, will come again.

The location was just what I needed as a stopover from Switzerland, before driving through France to return to the UK via Eurotunnel (following the quarantine restrictions imposed this last weekend). There is easy access to the A6 road. There is cheap local fuel and food shops in the town too. Free hotel parking outside my room, and at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, meant my bikes were safe locked...

Most important things first...everything clean at a fair price. Hotel owner very nice. Breakfast buffet with everything you need. The only thing that I find a pity is these pre-baked rolls that are so modern everywhere. But also because breakfast was great for 7 euros. Other hotels also take 10 to 12 with pre-baked rolls. This is a very decent hotel, considering the price! I paid 49 euros per night. This is a really good deal! Most other hotels in the area are either closed or very expensive. The owners are very nice people, and super helpful. You can get help in French, Italian, Russian, English, and German, of course. If you don't like noise, ask for a room that faces the forest.
