Great free breakfast! Big hotel with free parking. Free breakfast in the restaurant was a definite plus with many options. Indoor swimming pool was nice also

Netter Empfang durch Rezpetion, ruhiges Zimmer zu Innenhof, Fahrstuhl, gute Betten, gutes Frühstück, vom Bahnhof in 15 Min zu Fuß erreichbar mit geringem Anstieg. Gutes Essen am Abend im Haus auf schöner Terasse. Direkt unterhalb beginnen die Geschäfte, schöner Park gegenüber und hinter dem Haus Fußweg durch ein Wiesental.

Visited the restaurant for a family lunch and it was outstanding. We got great service and the special orders we had for the kids were no problem. I had their argentinian steak from the menu and it was the best steak I've had for a long, long time.

The hotel is in a beautiful location on the edge of the forest. Good to start hiking. The food from the show kitchen is superb. Extremely tasty and very creatively prepared. You sauna is too small if the hotel is well attended. The soul of the house is THE boss, who is always available to help.

Actually, I would like to complain , but there was nothing to complain about , everything was impeccable!

After a few years, again posted. We were very surprised at the much has changed ( new Windows, swimming pool). Only one thing has not changed fortunately, the friendliness of the staff remained. Food great as always. Quality is excellent. Since you can only say: We will come back.

Very good Hotel with a Wellness area. Something in the years come but very clean. Super friendly, helpful staff. The kitchen is more of a magic kitchen. The food actually deserves an additional star.

Nice staff and the room 111 has a lot of space. Restaurant has excellent food, specially for meat tasters. Breakfast has the standard of a 4 stars hotel. The swimming pool could be warmer, but sauna was fine around 85°C

Last weekend we had a small family celebration with an overnight stay. It was a nice evening with delicious food and drinks. We felt well taken care of. The decor and cleanliness of the room is excellent. The good, plentiful breakfast buffet is also worthy of praise. We will keep our stay in good memory and will definitely be back

Great location for hikes. Picturesque garden with plenty opportunities for dining or relaxation, Romantic swings for two under the trees, armchairs for reading inside. Everything nearby, including grocery stores, restaurants, cafés, even a hospital. Very quiet place ideal for relaxation.

The rooms are simply but adequately equipped, the rooms are bright and spacious. The location is very quiet, in the countryside right next to the forest. Perfect for group meetings of up to 25 people. Communication with Matthias was very helpful and nice.

Pleasantly simple, wooden seating in front and behind the house, a particularly large room directly under the roof with lots of wood (floor, windows, ceiling) and a very nice balcony with a view of the countryside including the scent of the conifers. A great location for everyone. Had a meeting with 30 people there over Pentecost and can only recommend the monastery park. Large bright rooms, great breakfast and very pleasant communication with Matthias, the manager of the house. Come back anytime to come back there again.

We stayed for one night with half board. It was amazing! We enjoyed everything, the swimming pool, the sauna, the breakfast and the super super yummy dinner. All the staff at the hotel were professional. We are so impressed. We will for sure come again!

Too many options for kids. Food quality good. Vegan and veggie options available for breakfast and dinner but not for lunch. No mini bar in room which was not good as we had two kids and could not store the milk in fridge, rooms are not of great quality, no ac available. no prams available for babies which was really bad for us as we had a 3 months old.

Great place for every type of traveller (couple, family). A broad variety of services for each age. My highest compliments to the masseuse Mr. Neuberger for his extra focus on my pain points (neck). We stayed at Landhaus Machold for a week and we are very satisfied, the room was very large and well-kept, cleanliness is very important. The kitchen is great, despite Corona, everything is done for the guest. The location is nice and quiet and still almost central. We would come back again. Rooms very clean. The food is priced and tasted at a good middle-class level. The boss Antje tries very hard to make you feel comfortable here.

Food was good and the service very good. Very friendly service and they will try to accommodate your needs. We ordered some combinations of ingredients to get a meal for our kids and very much tried to get that on our table. Disadvantage is not being able to pay with cards and the closest atm is a 10 min drive by car.

We spent a great holiday there in autumn. You can tell the attention to detail in the service, the room and restaurant equipment, decoration and the excellent menu! Excellent quality of the food, professional service team. As a guest you feel very comfortable here. I can only recommend.

Everything you would expect for 40/70 euros per night. I stayed in this hotel with my parents for 4 nights. The rooms are decent and cleans and that's about it. There is a TV but no kettle to make a warm drink. Which is annoying as the restaurant is not open that often and long and quite expensive. The bathrooms are small and the sink is situated very low. Living hospitality. We were on the Rennsteig and were looking for a double room for one night. The owner not only gave us helpful directions and we were able to get to know a new hiking trail, we also had a very delicious dinner in the restaurant. In reality everything looks much better than on the homepage. Highly recommended!
