Hotel Ancora

The hotel is quite centrally located but quiet. The room was very good, but there is a star deduction because of the very small closet. We almost just lived out of a suitcase. I take another star because of the WiFi that we couldn't use. Breakfast was ok.

We rented an apartment in the hotel for 9 days at the end of September 23rd. I can’t even describe the apartment as “old fashion”. It's just getting old. Furniture, doors and especially the bathroom, which is extremely small, would need to be renewed. (The shower door was stuck, the radiator was rusty and the sink was cracked). Only the bed was very good. Our apartment was on the city center side. Next to it is the Six Zero restaurant, whose loud music forced us to close the windows for a few days. Since the hotel doesn't have air conditioning, I don't want to imagine what it's like there in midsummer.
The swimming pool is small, but since I was always alone there in the morning, it was completely sufficient.
The breakfast buffet was OK, but not above average. The fruit salad often consisted of apples and canned fruit. In my opinion, the scrambled eggs were not made from fresh eggs. I tried it once when it was freshly refilled. It was hard and was not enjoyable for me. The coffee was very good.
The staff was very accommodating.
Summary: Price/performance doesn't fit.
