The staff were very nice. The rooms are pretty big and tidy. The breakfast was great.
Really liked this hotel. Highly recommended.
good hotel, big rooms, good breakfast, poorly arranged for disembarking passengers with the bus, also behind the hotel there is a large parking lot that is difficult to get to with the bus
Really nice rooms. Reasonable priced. Linked the fitness option as well.
Two downsides: 18 euro per person per day for breakfast and 6.5 euro for parking per day.
Good location as lots of good restaurants in the area (5-10 min drive).
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Clean and spacious room. Breakfast is very good, although some buns were left from the evening or yesterday in our second morning. The restaurant is closed at the weekend so no dinner possible, you should look for something outside but avoid the grill cafe across the road at any cost.
Great property. Amazing room size, facilities and wifi. The only thing that can be done better is the breakfast, no one really bothers to refill the containers so be early for your breakfast else you will end up getting nothing
Aesthetically built hotel with ample security features, automated lights, nice dining hall and quality & tasty variety food and above all polite behaved staff and very calm and cool place. My all family members really loved it. Thanks Holiday Inn Villingen.

Reception is friendly and professional. the rooms are well designed and modernly equipped. A piece of urban feeling in the middle of the Black Forest.
The food was sensational and delicious. the burger was heavenly and especially the homemade buns my highlight. The wine and spirits menu is modern and rich with delicious things. The atmosphere is great...
Great, friendly hotel with nice rooms and good burgers. The music in the restaurant is played via an LED triptych, so that depending on the mood, bar lounge music or other topics can be played (almost like live music) ...

Just to be fair it needs to have A/C for hot weather.
The staff was excellent and goes beyond there way to help you with all your needs.

Great location for a family! The breakfast was delicious with many choices. Personnel very helpful and polite! They took care of our needs with our kid. Kids friendly environment!

There was just 2 things I didnt like, the chairs are different (it disturbs me) and the noodles werent fresh made.
But besides that, SUPER GOOD restaurant! SETVICE ON TOP!
Nice hotel with nice people and really good services. The restaurant food is great, with not to many choices, but excellent dishes. I recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.

Ok place to crash for a night. I didn't like the thin bed linens, but the room was large and clean.
The caretaker leaves at about 9pm, but keys are left out for late arrivers.
The breakfast buffet in the morning was small but quite nice, and since we were, as far as I can tell, about the only guests still in the hotel it was quite sufficient!
The hostess running the place was extremely helpful...
Very friendly staff. Clean and interesting decor. Only serves cold food and not every night though.

Decent hotel with helpful and kind staff. Hotel is near to the forrest, but Villingen downtown is a bit far, so I recommend coming with a car. Note that reception works only from around 7AM to the around 7PM. Rest of the time key lockbox is in use.

Accommodation and breakfast were very good, even if the bathroom smelled like a swimming pool, extremely of chlorine.
But the service below all cannon.
We had booked and paid for 2 rooms through booking, nobody knew. The code for the key was not available, the "colleague" or supposed boss did not understand us. Either because of his flag or simply because of a lack of knowledge of German. A telephone...
The room is spacious enough, the bathroom is clean, there is a good comfort overall.
I was very happy with the buffet breakfast, because I eat sweets in the morning: croissant, waffels, jam. Also, the omlet was delicious, aside with cheese and veggies.
Plus, the breakfast space is wonderfully decorated. ❤

I’m from 🇸🇪 Sweden 🇸🇪 and are on holiday with my motorcycle. I just randomly choosed this hotel by checking out Google maps , and I booked via their web site. I had to go to Touratech AG in Niedereschach next day.
And what a great surprise this was 😁.
Very nice staff , clean room with a comfy bed , and a nice breakfast buffé. Even the egg was perfectly cooked !

A simple but very nice place to stay with a really nice hostess.
We slept great and could have breakfast on the terrace. Breakfast was provided according to our requested time. The house is a bit older. If you don't mind, you're in good hands here for a couple of nights.
A spacious and well-equipped apartment (fireplace is incredibly pleasant) with a wonderfully warm and nice host. Definitely to be recommended. We - parents with children - all felt very comfortable.

Very large, modern room including a very nice bathroom. Quite calm, even if the room was located on the main street (trucks and motorbikes are not allowed during the night). The hotel is located close to town center, with easy foot access to all facilities
Great hotel & restaurant! The room is nice exactly like in the picture + so comfy spring bed. The bathroom is very nice warm from heater under the floor. Dinner is amazing. Try menu of the day. Recommended!
I loved staying here. The restaurant had amazing food! The rooms were beautiful and it was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious.
We had a great dinner here.
The Food is excellent and the service is the best!
They even have a special menu-card for children (I recommend the Räuberteller ☺)
We were seated immediately arrival on a Sunday afternoon about 12:30 pm. The waitress was fast and friendly. It was a very german menu with a lot of choices. The service was excellent and the price was reasonable. I would go there again.

I look a bit outdated but very neat, the rooms are clean, the food good, the staff pleasant and unobtrusive. In-room coffee machine and free welcome coffee ... wi-fi is very good 👍
For those who complain you should take a 5* hotel and pay 500€ per day.. this is very nice hotel... rooms are big and nice.. breakfast is unbelivably good..we are now here...first time in Bad Durrheim and we will come again to this hotel...
Spacious rooms, good beds, friendly staff and wholesome breakfast buffet. Only thing off is the decorum, especially the bathrooms which will bring you back to the sixties.
The location is tranquil and is extremely peaceful at night even though it is a bit out of reach. Rooms come with a personal balcony to enjoy the view. However, the lifts in the building on serves up to the fourth floor and not the fifth so if you do have alot of baggage, the rooms on the fourth floor and below are recommended

Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast buffet is really good and filling. Restaurants are available at walkable distances for lunch and dinner options. Free parking available. I was not happy with the Wellness (massage) services offered within the Hotel. They seemed to have a new website of their own (not yet updated on the Hotel's website) as well as missing several massage options.
Pros:
- Staff was friendly and helpful
- Breakfast was good
Cons:
- Most of the hotel looks old (furniture, decorations, etc)
- My room was cold when I arrived and it took about two days of heating to get the room temperature to be at an acceptable level
- Walls are thin
- Wifi is slow and stops working at some points
- Elevator was broken the whole week I stayed there
Good value for money, nicely renovated rooms, but common areas a bit run-down, overall not very cosy
