I've been coming to this town since 2010. Since 2013 or 14 I've always stayed at the park hotel! Because they have never let me down! The service, the smiles, the food in the restaurant and pretty much everything is always right on point! For our weekend Long Chris Jones concert in the center of town, they provide us musicians with Service far above what we are used to! And the breakfast can't be beat!

The hotel itself was fine, the rooms are a bit spartan, but they were definitely clean. The breakfast buffet was very good. The only problem was that the room was hot as a sauna, and there is no way to open the window because of yellowjackets on the outside of the window, and without a simple screen in the window you have to keep it closed to avoid the wasps coming into the room. So the room felt like, 40° C and we did not get a good nights sleep, since unfortunately, the rooms also do not have air-conditioning.

Perfect, recently renovated, example of a Lower Saxony family owned hotel. On the edge of a lovely park which you can walk through to the old town center. Original wooden accents in room were a treat and the modern bathroom spacious and very clean. Breakfast buffet of cereal, yogurt, bread and cold cuts was all well presented but the hot food choices sparse, not well done and when busy, the staff were hard pressed to keep it stocked. But the garden terrace is used for breakfast when weather permits! No lunch served but dinner is very good. It is a popular place for meetings and weddings, which, as we experienced, can be very noisy and go way past midnight! Also beware of the crows, they roost in the surrounding park in the summer and are very noisy between 6-7am!

Lovely traditional German hotel. Little noisy in the mornings with guests not closing their doors and leaving them to slam waking you up. Might be worth reception advising this to guests on arrival.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. lovely bathrooms
The hotel can be seen to be part way through a modernation program. Restaurant and halls ways are done and the bathrooms have been clearly be done but the bedrooms still needed to be completed.
Don't get me wrong the beds were comfortable and warm but carpet and cabinets need a change
Breakfast was excellent and welcome start of the day
Parking is limited but there is a pay and display across the road and free from 6pm to 9am

Almost impossible to connect to the wi-fi signal.
Good breakfast. Rooms clean.
The maintenance forget to leave clean towls and take out the used ones!

Comfortable but some of the rooms are feeling a bit dated. No fridge in the rooms and the only safe is only a locking drawer. Breakfast is okay and the restaurant is bright and airy.
