A very nice hotel, but rather expensive. The steep room rate is to some extent countered by the quiet surroundings and the excellent food. The room wasn't large, the TV didn't work. Had it worked we wouldn't have enjoyed it, it's tiny. The bed was way too soft. The staff were very friendly.

Room / price is fair.some rooms are renovated and nice, others rather old. As I tend not to spend too much time in my room I do not care much about it. I need a bed and a shower, that I had :-) The beds though are not comfortable much. Food, serivce and cleanliness is very good. Yes, the restaurant has remained standing somewhere decades ago - but that's exactly what makes it so appealing !! The taste of the dishes offered is very good - nostalgic, of high quality, prepared with love like "from the past". I think it's great. Thanks for that !

Definitely worth a visit. Especially when wanting to visit the Harz. The hotel rooms are great. That is in terms of size and looks. They offer a good high resolution Flatscreen and a big kitchen. I was here in september for a motor tour. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great, but the routes were! Eat very good and casual food! One is well satiated. LITTLE TIP: sit in front of the ceiling, you will be spotted faster!

The service is very warm and careful. Top. The food was very good, the quality is consistently good, with every visit so far. The ambience is a bit old-fashioned due to the spatial restrictions, but this does not lead to any devaluation. All in all: People always like to eat and hang out here.

Spent a week there with the whole family, and was won over on the first day. Friendly family atmosphere throughout the hotel, quiet location and spacious, cozy rooms. A huge plus point was the large wellness area with pool and two saunas, which with its relaxation room is perfect for relaxing after hiking. You rarely feel so comfortable and homely in hotels, soon in a new one!

Dear hotel owner. I had booked a room at this hotel but unfortunately we were denied accommodation for arbitrary reasons. The owner of the hotel found us another hotel within an hour for the price we had with her. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

My wife and I have visited this hotel twice in 7 years and we were very satisfied each time 😁. The service is good, the food is delicious and includes a good selection (half board). The rooms are nicely furnished, the beds are good - everything you need for a (short) vacation. Only the Harz itself has significantly fewer trees 🌲😕. Recommendation 👍👍

We arrived drenched and quite dirty, but were immediately welcomed in a friendly manner and taken to the nicely furnished rooms.
