Nice hotel for the price we paid. Booked two rooms for two nights. Hotel appears decorated in 1920's look. loved the patio where we had breakfast. bathroom fixtures in both rooms were modern and functional. refrigerator worked great. while AC worked the thermostat was ancient and should all be replaced with digital. would stay there again. Stayed here for a night on our trip of southern Spain. Very conveniently located if you have a car to visit all the sites. The hotel is a lovely old palace converted to a hotel. The rooms are nice. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the food is excellent. The upkeep and maintenance is a bit of a downfall and leaves somewhat to be desired.

Quaint hotel. Spacious room and bathroom. You need to pay for parking Euro10 for a day, that's ridiculous. And breakfast is not included. Convenient location if you need parking close to the port and want to go to Morocco.

The hotel is furnished with high quality furnishings, tiles and marble although they look somewhat dated. Nice hotel in Algeciras. Placed very near a round-about , so maybe not the best area for a hotel. But within reach of the city if you want to walk about 30 min. I used taxi. Very good meny in the restaurant with very tasty meals. Breakfast buffet not more than ok. I was on a business trip, so the tendency is to get a separate meny when on a work trip. We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. We stayed there couple of nights, using it as a launch point to visit Gibraltar and take the ferry to Morocco. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. All in all I thought it was good value for the price.

Alboran is a charming spanish style hotel - think La Quinta from USA w a much nicer gym and restaurant. Nice courtyard. Gym: has cable machine, light dumbbells and 3 diff cardio machines. Opens at 8a Rooms are spacious. Beds are comfy. Staff is friendly. But miss details sometimes. Helpful when asked. We would stay again. Great for 2-3 days. Note, not near anything.

I had an absolutely amazing time at Alboran Algeciras. The rooms were spacious and spotless but less in interior décor which i would say you can try to improve. The meal buffet was delicious and restaurant was spacious and amazing with a huge variety of options. The pool was outstanding. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble...

Its a decent place. Old but we'll kept and maintained. Rooms are clean and staff are very courteous. There is swimming pool, bar and restaurant serving breakfast buffet and good lunch selection.

After reading the negative reviews I was a bit hesitant, but honestly, everything was fine for us. It was nice to be able to park in the garage nearby (yes, you have to pay). Super friendly receptionist with excellent recommendation for a restaurant. Location is also very good: train station, port, intercity bus station and city center nearby. Only the rooms would need some fresh paint and some renovating.

Good customer service and lovely rooms - bus sounds were not an issue in my experience and the convenience of having the station there could not be beat!

Excellent hotel, a bit outdated, would be even better if modernized. Everything works fine except elevator, but no bigger problem. Breakfast not to be missed. Skip the parking fee, plenty of parking space behind the hotel

I liked the location, that the staff was very nice and the room was what we expected, the room was really clean and tidy, the accepted our check in time with no problem, you could buy water and energy drink at the mini casino thats on the hotel reception.

Room was a bit sterile, but it was clean and cheap. Also parking is free nearby. Strangely there was a dishwasher and washing machine in the room but no oven or microwave???? Also the gym is free and quite big!

My stay was very pleasant. Good value for money, and the receptionist, Estefania, was very friendly and helpful.

The staff here do not speak English. Rooms are very compact. Wifi at this hotel is very slow and keeps disconnecting every 10 mins.

Good hotel at a good location. The rooms are well equipped and modern. The breakfast was really excellent. It's very rich and very tasty. Perhaps the parking could be offered free of charge for the hotel guests. Anyway, we had a nice stay for 2 nights.

Good value Room was good size, bed was good and we had a nice stay but a pity there was no tea/coffee facility in the room. The restaurant was always closed when we wanted to use it. The staff were helpful. The car park is very tight to get large cars in the bays.

The room is clean and spacious, with complete facilities. The window is large but it seems that it cannot be opened. However, the hotel is far from the port, and it takes more than half an hour to walk. Public transportation is inconvenient. Very good standard for the price, stayed at a few sercotels during our tour of spain, clean, comfortable spacious room, parking expensive at 12 euro for one motorcycle, other chains in avila, merida, cadiz all offered free parking for motorcycles, otherwise very good

We stayed for one night due to being tired of driving. I will recommend this hotel if you are only staying for the night. Very comfortable bed.

The hotel is suitable for self-driving trips. Free parking is available on nearby streets. The hotel's own parking lot is easily full and there are no spaces. The facilities are okay, the room is relatively small.

The hotel is stylish, that must be a pain to dust with so many shiny surfaces. Even the sink is in the room is made from glass. But I can't fault the hotel on that at all, every day when we returned there was not a speck of dust to be seen. The rooms are ok, not big, but good enough for 1-2 days. The hotel is clean and sanitary. It is next to a shopping mall and the location is acceptable. But parking is inconvenient. You need to check in first and then swipe your card to enter the parking lot. It is also some distance from the hotel, which is inconvenient if you have large luggage. Overall, it passes as a passing hotel.

The room smelled of tobacco when I arrived. I was hesitant to tell the front desk, even though the receptionist was very friendly.

We had a very good experience. The staff who served us were very pleasant, and the room seemed large. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom had everything you needed, and the views were spectacular. You can hear the neighbors, but not as loud as in other hotels we've stayed at. Highly recommended!

Great Location for the Port The hotel is very well located for the port (about 5 minutes walk) if you are wanting to make day trips to Ceuta or Tangier. It is basic but the reception is open 24 hours and a really nice kebab takeaway next door with the staff speaking good English. It is about 10 mins from the bus and train stations too. The area can be a bit quiet late at night though.

It is a little old, it is clean but needs a major wash. The top floors overlooking the harbor are great if not excellent. The views are very pleasant and the sunrise is beautiful. The area doesn't give much confidence but we haven't had any problems.

Great hostal, staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Service is great. Rooms and the hostal in general are clean and neat. The room had airconditioning and a comfortable shower. Beds were ok. Great value overall. The breakfast in the cafe was especially note worthy for a great price.

I stayed here last night and I'm staying here again tonight. It is a great little place to stay. The room is clean the shower works well. The gentleman at reception was very helpful in calling the motorbike rental company for me to extend it for four more days. Would recommend this place to friends.

Don't get me wrong, this is not the best hotel i ever slept in. Outside there where sexworkers that where waiting on customers. I can imagine for some people this is a problem. What made me give this four stars, is that is was very cheap for the quality of the room, which was very good!

Flight from Gibraltar so needed a hotel as I was going on to Cádiz the next day , basic and cheap but don’t expect any sleep , people banging doors all night and day , loud music and bar downstairs kept me up too , good WiFi and comfortable beds , just off busy Motorway and close to supermarket and restaurants . At only £30 a night you get what you pay for no sleep !!! 💤 😂 prob wouldn’t stay again...

Better than its rating The hotel entrance is on the side of the building so that was a little confusing. The clerk was very friendly and spoke English fluently. The place is really nice. I don't understand why it is considered a "1.". We would stay again!
