After reading the negative reviews I was a bit hesitant, but honestly, everything was fine for us. It was nice to be able to park in the garage nearby (yes, you have to pay). The rooms feel a bit dated, but theyre clean and comfy. The bed was nice and spacious. I didn't hear too much noise, but our room overlooked the street, not the bus station. Breakfast was fine. Enough to choose from. Is it a luxury 4 star hotel? No, not necessarily. Is it a good and clean place to stay after or before taking a ferry? Absolutely.

Super friendly receptionist with excellent recommendation for a restaurant. Location is also very good: train station, port, intercity bus station and city center nearby.
Only the rooms would need some fresh paint and some renovating.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I must say it was a terrible experience.
From the moment I arrived, there were problems. The reception staff was unhelpful.
Online it stated that parking was included, but when we arrived, the lot was "full" and we had to search for a parking garage, hoping it would be a safe one. Nothing was reimbursed.
The bathroom was not clean; there were mold stains on the side of the tub. It was dirty and unkempt.
If it were possible to give 0 stars, I definitely would. Never booking this hotel again!

My stay at Mir Octavio was disappointing and absolutely not recommended. From the moment of check-in to check-out, there were numerous problems.
Firstly, the staff was unfriendly and unprofessional. It seemed like they had no interest in the guests.
We had specifically booked this hotel for its parking facilities, but upon arrival, we were told that no parking spaces were available. This caused a lot of inconvenience as we had to spend a long time searching for an affordable and safe parking spot nearby.

In short, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Don't waste your money here and find another hotel that is worth it.

The best hotel I have ever been, better than the one in Italy I went to some years ago. Really polite and helpful staff and a nice breakfast buffet. There were loads of comfy sofas in the corridors and quiet corners to meet people. It's also opposite the train station, on the right of the coach station and a ten minute walk from the ferry and helicopter departure places. Saved loads on taxis!!!! I also loved rummaging around second hand shops, and there is one nearby. it's also walking distance from the Tejera market, I think it was called.

Good customer service and lovely rooms - bus sounds were not an issue in my experience and the convenience of having the station there could not be beat!

A wonderful, classic, exquisite hotel, with wonderful staff who are so helpful. The room is extremely clean, big and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is also excellent, there was a bathtub, very good shower, toilet and bidet and the walls have marble décor. Rooms have balconies as well. The hotel has the most delicious breakfast in any hotel I have been to. Furthermore it is 5 minutes walk from the train station of Algeciras, where you can travel to and from Madrid direct.
My only suggestion is to update the air conditioning system controls, as the switch was broken. No problem in November when I visited, but maybe something to look at. Overall, excellent, 5 stars!

Excellent hotel, a bit outdated, would be even better if modernized. Everything works fine except elevator, but no bigger problem. Breakfast not to be missed.

Rooms clean, comfortable, cool - lighting could be better. Good bathroom & shower. I suggest asking for a room at the front as the bus station noise is intrusive. Good Internet. The €7.50 breakfast is adequate.
