Charming place with really good and attentive staff. They allowed us to stay a bit longer to have a shower before leaving.

Good food excellent value. Would have preferred that restaurant was on the balcony with the extensive view. But the terrace was pleasant.

Located in the country side, a few kilometers from the coast but near to the Costa Brava hot spots. New and refurbished rooms, with a great swimming pool and spa.

Fantastic place to rest, eat and enjoy the local nature and its wonderful coasts. Delightful place.

Amazing location, amazing amenities, very nice Spa and a spectacular view, great breakfast. Unfortunately, the service was amongst the worst I have experienced so far. I would still recommend it, but whoever is considering a stay here should be aware and not expect too much in terms of friendliness of the service ;)

Recently completely refurbished, this 4 star hotel has a modern, minimalistic vibe. Airy & light with comfortable seating. We only visited the bar, so I can't say anything about the rooms & as it was night time, I couldn't really see the garden but I will definitely return during the daytime.

Stayed for one night with half board meals and spa entrance. We did a massage in the spa which was great and not too pricey. The spa- was very nice and not packed, the one down side I personally had that neither of the pools were hot but only warm. Generally good hotel. What I like most is its location. Because the hotel faces the bay and the sea itself on both sides of its elongated building. It is in the center of Begur. Super clean and beautifully decorated. It has large and divine rooms with a super equipped bathroom. Terrace with jacuzzi and solarium. The treatment is excellent. I will repeat without hesitation.

We had the most wonderful stay at Hotel Aiguaclara. The property is beautiful and conveniently located in the historic area of Begur. The breakfast was delicious and in a beautiful setting. Perhaps most noteworthy was the service. The team at the Hotel Aiguaclara were all so helpful with everything from taxis and restaurant recommendations to suggestions on where to hike. Thank you!

What a lovely property! We enjoyed our 2-night stay immensely. The reception staff (Susanna, in our case) was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast offered menu options as well as a nice buffet. A nice library where you can not only read or relax, you can play records on a turntable! The room was tastefully decorated, the bed comfortable. Highly recommend!

We stayed for 2 nights in October and wish it could have been longer, we had a room on the second floor that overlooked a square. Very helpful staff, great breakfast, liked the availability of an honor bar. Loved staying in a historic home, the entry way is dark which was off putting at first but it's in keeping with the original color scheme. Overall great stay!

Such a unique experience staying in this beautifully restored building. Spacious rooms with fun decor . Service was friendly and helpful and an amazing breakfast including a menu and buffet. The location was ideal - loved the sound of the church bells - otherwise very peaceful.

A beautifully maintained colonial style mansion which is managed in a relaxed and unpretentious way. Very stylish, friendly service and atmosphere and delicious homemade breakfast (including freshly squeezed orange juice which is always a plus!). Couldn't ask for more.

Location very beautiful in an isolated valley with stunning sea view. The food is very good, the personnel is incredibly friendly, especially the receptionist/manager who is absolutely a special person. Recommended, ideal also to go and visit Begur.

I can only speak to their restaurant as I was not a hotel guest. If the food and hotel service are anything alike then you are in very good hands. The restaurant provides a lovely outdoor seating area surrounded in greenery and if indoor seating is the preference they used glass floor-to-ceiling walls so you can still feel like you’re outdoors. What a precious place in a charming town. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The building itself is gorgeous and reminds me of the Paradores elsewhere in Spain where historic structures have been sensitively repurposed into elegant hotels. We had a great visit!

This place is trying hard to be quaint and charming and chic, and mostly succeeds. It has perhaps seen better days however. It requires some tender loving care. The rooms could do with repainting, the shower recess should be tiled, the floors redone (regrouted) and sealed again so they can be properly cleaned...etc. I can't however see an easy solution to the problem of the bedroom doors - very noisy...

Perfectly lovely hotel. Situated in an old house in the old quarter of town it was full of charm with stone floors, high ceilings and we could hear the church bells chime the hour and a cellar where breakfast is served. Beds were so comfortable with simple modern ensuite. Breakfast was light and offered artesan cheese, meats, membrillo etc. Great for a short stay.

It had been a few years since we had dinner at the hotel. The location, ambiance and service has always been excellent but we found the food old fashioned and very heavy. This time we both had fish main course and they were beautifully cooked and full of flavor, while being not to rich and heavy. We will definitely being dining here on our next trip to Aigua Blava.

Bernat runs a beautiful hotel. The relaxed atmosphere is felt throughout this spacious setting, breakfast served on the terrace under the shade of an architectural canopy of green. Rooms have a view over Aiguablava and mornings are greeted by a chorus of cicadas. The azure waters of the Mediterranean are a hop away. A gem on the Costa Brava.

Alta House is a private, minimalist and welcoming hotel in the heart of Begur. I have been there for 3 nights and everything was perfect. Rooms are comfortable, really good shower and bed. Breakfast is nice and staff was kind. If I’m back in Begur, I’ll definitely stay there again.

The couple who run it are very nice and attentive. We had the largest room that has the wall of the tower, and the bathroom is very spacious. Very clean, comfortable, modern and a very complete breakfast, with homemade products. We have been in November and we did not enjoy the pool, but in summer it must be great!
