Hotel Marbel

This is wonderful hotel, just outside the Main Street so it is quiet but only a two minute walk to loads of shops, restaurants bars etc. OK, it is not 5 star luxury but it is impeccably clean, excellent value for money, the breakfasts are good as is the Friday night BBQ and music. The hosts and the staff are wonderfully friendly and nothing is too much trouble. A great place to spend your holiday.

Buffet breakfast was amazing! Staff were nice, rooms good size. Only bad point is no air con but for the price it doesn’t matter. There is a roof fan. Good location

As a first time solo traveller I felt very safe here! Some of the staff are family which makes the place feel very safe and warm! Also they all Spanish, English and German. If you’re looking for a place that feels very local, it’s affordable and close to shops and the beaches this place is definitely worth considering

I stayed here alone for 5 nights and was placed on a room on the ground floor.

The room I was placed in had a door directly to the pool area which mad it very easy to come in and go. However it also came with cons such as more noise and also since it was on the ground level bugs always sneaked in from the outside. I saw a total of 4 cockroaches in the room and after that I mostly kept the outside door/window closed and no problems after that.

Also since the place doesn’t have ac, it was hard to keep the windows shut yet there is a ceiling fan but it does make a noise.

They clean the room, change any dirty towels and make the bed every day which is highly appreciated. The mattress and pillows are also very comfortable to sleep on. There’s also a safe box in the room however you need to pay two euros per night for it. And no refrigerator.

Breakfast is from 9 to 11 in the morning and they usually keep it a little bit longer till 1130. It has a nice variety of food including fruits, jam,eggs, cheese, sausage, cereal,…

They also have a bar and a restaurant where they serve home made lunch and dinner however it comes with an extra cost

There’s free wifi but it doesn’t work by the pool. Also it can get quite loud and noisy in the room: construction near by in the mornings, guests swimming in the pool in the middle of the night, guests laughing and singing by the bar at night. If you sleep later than 1pm you should be okay.

Very good location of the hotel! The rooms are small, but sufficient for a short trip, two small drawbacks are the lack of a refrigerator and air conditioning. On the other hand, the location, a comfortable bed, a large number of sockets, breakfasts included in the price and umbrellas available for hotel guests are a plus. I recommend
