Hotel Spa Porto Cristo

Horrible experience. Appalling level of customer service from one particular front desk staff member who left us standing outside in the heat, overloaded with stuff for 5 minutes. I rang the bell, banged on the window, and the door was only opened by another staff member who was coming in from outside. I could see from the door the desk was manned and once inside asked the woman if she could see us, she replied yes. No hint of an apology. Nor any kind of pleasant welcome. Sour faced. Completed check in as though we were uninvited guests, not people who had paid €200 for a room. Just unbelievable. Once in the room, the special gift i had requested as a surprise for my girlfriend’s birthday was not there. The room itself was fine with an excellent view. However, it was also stiflingly hot in the night and the old fashioned ac too loud and ineffective to sleep with. Breakfast was the kind of standard spread any 2 star restaurant would offer. Staff also disinterested. No good morning. No offer of any special requests. Truly awful place that wants to charge big money without providing any semblance of the service that should be standard with that.
