Tossa Beach Center

This hotel is not a 4* barely a 2* room small and ok except for the horrible smell in the bathroom every few days, restaurant in the cellar, low ceiling bare walls very gloomy and you had to clear your cups and plates yourselves, scraping leftovers into a trolley, yuk, food was cold except at the freshly cooked counter, which was the only one we used, because lots of people were having upset stomachs, we ate out a lot of nights as we only had half board, not all inclusive, thank god, the bar was like a works canteen with plastic tables and chairs and no separate lounge just a couple of sofas in reception area. Also we were supposed to have use of facilities at the sister hotel across the road but on the first day we noticed that this was not the case, the hotel building was housing African immigrants who would congregate outside at night staring and was quite intimidating, the security officer would be outside our hotel at night, we should have been notified of the changes to facilities by our holiday operator.
I love Tossa de mar but this experience ruined our holiday and will probably never return.

I arrived back at home yesterday afternoon from staying in Tossa De Mar, Tossa beech hotel. I went with my sister and we stayed for a week. When we arrived at hotel last week on Tuesday we went to reception to get our key to the room and found the staff were very rude. When we arrived in our room it was small, cramped, not a lot of room, we had no fridge to cool our drinks down and we only had one mirror in the bathroom to share. The room smelt as we walked in but after days gone by our room was clean. We decided to go down for some food on the evening as this was our first meal on the night, we sat on the right side where the windows were and seen ants crawling on the wall creating an ants nest. As we had breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday onwards the food was getting worse one night we had fish with actual bones on and eveytime you ate the fish it was full of bones, there was chicken breast which was pink in the middle, there was burgers which had pink inside and not cooked properly, the chicken skewers were rubbery to cut through and raw inside.We was also greeted on our 2nd day to asylum seekers on the opposite side to the hotel where on the website it states that you are allowed to have full access to the opposite hotel however due to this we was unable to use the facilities of the opposite hotel and was full of police and security at all times with the entrance being blocked off. I wanted some salad one night and seen a fly inside the salad bowl aswell. I had a dinner that was suppose to be beef dont really know what it was but it was pink inside and not cooked I had to through my dinner away and starved myself. Felt like being on rashens. The food was revolting! Theres no entertainment throughout the day or evenings especially when it rains its boring. The drinks on the evening was suppose to close at 11 o clock and closed before that time and refused to serve any drinks. Half way through the week on the Friday night around 1.30 my sister woke up and felt something heavy fall onto her head, we looked and it was a big black beetle. We were up for hours trying to find this beetle. At half four in the morning I wake up and felt something heavy fall onto my head again it was the beetle we managed to get it outside and leave it by the balcony. One of the nights we was sitting having a few drinks with our neighbours on the balcony and the lights go off just gone 11, a member of the staff goes round the pool area and shines his torch. We got told off as apparently we were being too loud but we wasn't and got told off for it. We can't even enjoy our holiday having a few drinks but end up getting shouted at. We felt like being on a time schedule and felt like we were in prison. Finally, check out is at 10am for which the staff demand you out of the room at 10am and take your wrist band off you which means you are unable to use the hotel facilities until you get picked up for your flight home even though you have paid for the stay and left being homeless. What a joke! Please Please dont waste your money on this holiday, its not worth it. The hotel itself is suppose to be a four start but what we have experienced its a 1 star hotel to me. Ignore all the positive comments!

This is the 9th time we have been to this hotel but never again. We have booked the hotel through TUI and it turns out Tossa Beach hotel has booked coach loads of Spanish pensioners. Nothing wrong in that but we've been told the Spanish pensioners have paid a minimal fee and we in fact are subsidising their holiday. The food is abysmal. Show cooking is advertised and tonight consisted of tomatoes and some sort of fish. There was pressed meat. And that was the meat and fish on offer. The food is labelled in Spanish. All Inclusive. It's a joke. We shouldn't have been sold this at this time. We have complained at reception twice. On to TUI tomorrow. Please, please avoid.

Came here on a school trip . The food Is disappointing, yesterday I had the chicken satay from the buffet . It was not cooked properly , breakfast was disappointing aswell. The fact I had to pay €1.50 for the smallest glass of apple juice, ridiculous. The rooms are small, hot and stuffy with only one window wich was in bathroom. When I woke up this mourning the shower didn't work . If you can avoid do not stay here.
