Los Amigos Beach Club

This a great place to stay in the off-season. Not very crowded and just enough restaurants in the area, however it is somewhat isolated if you don't have a car all things considered. There is a small store nearby that proved to be valued when you needed something. apartment was clean and nicely furnished. They had some activities daily for guests and owners. The staff was professional and provided good service. Micheal the activities person was awesome! The pool bar and restaurant were closed but preparing to open for the high season. The only negative comment would be all of the daily construction noise around the pool area.

Rooms were fully equipped and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful with all of our needs and were very attentive. The location is a little isolated and you need a taxi to get to most places. Will definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were good and spacious. The staff were nice. The location was good, it was close to the highway and the larger cities. It was possible to order bread (e.g. croissant) to the room in the morning. We used that. Unfortunately, the Las Casitas restaurant was closed when we were here. There was an outdoor pool and an indoor pool. Most people used the indoor pool because it was cold in the outdoor pool at that time. You could, with the help of your room card, park inside the fence. Good hotel. I recommend it.

We stayed at this hotel for 17 nights during Christmas 2024 with our 3-year-old kid. Before our visit we carefully read the Google reviews, at the end we found that the hotel met and even exceeded our expectations. Overall, we were very satisfied with our holiday. Here’s a summary of our experience:

Positives:
1. Excellent service: The front desk and management team were very responsive to any questions or requests, even late at night.
2. Convenient location: The hotel is well-located, with easy access by car to all essential services, great restaurants, and major attractions nearby.
3. Secure and convenient: Entry requires key access, and there are patrols at night. Both the hotel and the surrounding area offer free parking.
4. Well-equipped rooms: We stayed in a newly renovated room with good-quality furniture, a washing machine, and a fully equipped kitchen.
5. Quiet and family-friendly: The hotel was peaceful during the Christmas season, with no noisy activities at night. During the day, they organized some family games, which were perfect for our child.

Things to note (which didn’t bother us):
1. Cleaning schedule: Housekeeping is not daily but scheduled twice a week, with bed linen and towels changed once a week. This was sufficient for us.
2. Pools and facilities: The outdoor pool is not heated. Access to the indoor heated pool, spa, and gym requires a daily fee for non-members.
3. Nearby beach: The beach within a 10-minute walk is average, but you can drive to beautiful beaches within 10 minutes.
4. Room types: The hotel offers both renovated and non-renovated rooms at the same price. While both have the same functionality, the décor differs slightly.
5. Renovation closures: During our stay, the outdoor kids’ pool, children’s playground, and on-site restaurant were closed for renovation.

I enjoyed my stay at Los Amigos. The location is central and accessible to nearby attractions. We took the local bus to the beach area which was 2 stops away.There are many dining options nearby as well as a market to buy groceries and other items you might need to make your stay comfortable.
My only issue with this resort is you will not get assistance from them if something is broken or is not in working order in your unit. Their washing machine flood the unit during every wash. after calling them to fix it 3 times I gave up. I found this to be the case around Spain. They will promise you service that they never intend to provide. If they had fixed the washer in Unit 43C I would have given them 5 stars.

Really nice place to stay if you’re coming to the Costa del Sol. Breakfast at Las Casitas (see my separate review) was amazing although not cheap.
The beds were super comfortable and the studio was much bigger than I expected it to be. I slept wonderfully every night thanks to the lovely pillows and the efficient air conditioning. I also loved that there was a water filter to reduce the use of plastics, so you could fill up your bottle with the nice-tasting water and keep it in the fridge. There was a the recycling bin in the kitchen, with three separate colour bags.
As for any negative side, the only one I can think of is that the complex, as one can see from the location, does not overlook the sea, and it’s always nice to wake up with views of the sea, isn’t it? Instead, apartments overlook either the pools or else the tennis courts. But the gardens have lots of plants and it’s very relaxing to look onto them.

Absolutely love the staff here, so happy and attentive. Pablo in the restaurant is such a hard worker. He never stops! AJ is lovely and Louis on reception. All the reception staff are happy to help. Nice heated indoor pool in December. Clean apartments and close to restaurants but the restaurant in there is absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a nice 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the main pool. It was very clean and had everything you needed for a self catering holiday. We found the location of the resort OK but a bit isolated if you didn't have a hire car although there are regular buses in each direction and always taxis waiting nearby. The small beach was only a 2 minute walk away and there were a handful of small restaurants 5 mins walk away. Only down side was the poolside music which wasn't to our taste and sometimes went on late into the night. There was entertainment on 4 nights a week which was a decent standard.

Very impressed with the rooms and pool area. The whole place is very clean. Slightly disappointed having to use swim hats in the indoor area. Definitely something that could be fixed, and possibly the least clean area we used. But still 5 stars for me. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Convenient location with a few local places to eat/drink.

We stayed in June & we had a fabulous week. Fantastically hot weather & a lovely pool to relax by. Our apartment we could not fault, it was brilliant. It was modern & had everything we needed for a self catering stay. The cupboards were well stocked with utensils, pots & pans etc & all was spotless. Usb plugs were handy as we forgot our plugs! Everything has been thought of for you, even recycling & filtered water available. The air con was well received in the heat & we really appreciated a really lovely week in really lovely surroundings inside & outside of the room. The complex itself only has a few restaurants nearby, but we took a taxi to the local towns for at the most 6/8 euro and they were 5 minutes away for a more busy atmosphere. The children loved it every day when the 'bridge of doom' inflatable came out each day! They loved it. The hotel had a lovely restaurant we ate at & evening entertainment on some evenings too. Over all we had a fabulous stay & would definitely return or look at other resorts . 5 star 🌟
