Aparthotel Ciutat de Palol

Very nice place located in the park, 3 minutes from the beautiful beaches and short walk to bars and restaurants, fantastic swimming pool and overall ambiance. The only comment from our side - rooms are not as per 4* expectations. Cheap decoration and furniture. Everything else is great!

It's amazing how a butler at the breakfast buffet can ruin the overall impression of a place like this. Everything from the receptionists, activity leaders, waiters and lifeguards were fantastic throughout our stay. After a great experience, we were going to have breakfast at the restaurant on the last day. It ends with a rude butler scolding us for sitting us down with a table. He had plenty of time beforehand to direct us to a table if that was what he wanted. When we choose to leave the restaurant, he shouts something after us in Spanish that I don't understand, but assume from the reaction of the other visitors that it was not pleasant. I have traveled a lot and visited countless restaurants, but I have never experienced such a rude butler.
If you ignore one "rotten apple", the place is fantastic. The staff are service minded and the facilities are fantastic. The children have lots of activities that they can take part in - everything from art & crafts to sports activities. The pool is large, spacious and there is never a "fight" for the sunbeds. The place can certainly be described as a hidden gem on the Spanish coast.
It is a 15 minute walk to the center of town. Here you will find many large and small shops and good restaurants. It is approximately a five-minute walk to a lovely demarcated bathing beach.

At the hotel, there are mostly Spanish and French holidaymakers. I guess this is a good sign and builds on my claim that this is a "hidden gem" for Scandinavian visitors.

Very beautiful aparthotel, large and clean apartments very well equipped. Surrounded by trees, with a large pool and very close to the beach. Perfect for families, with a playground and a small football/basketball court. Good service and very good breakfast. We really enjoyed our time there and will definitely come back!
