The people at reception were very friendly, and helped us with directions. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of options. The location is good too. I think the hotel can use a little renovation. In particular, our room felt quite uncomfortable to use. Nothing was really wrong with it, but there was almost no furniture, so we didn't have surfaces to put our stuff on. It was kind of an awkward space...

Just outside of the main part of town easy walking distance opposite a supermarket and school, free dirt parking over the road, a very bad the smell of drains that arrived overnight, hopefully this was a one off.

Excellent value for money! I stayed in the hotel for over a week and I had a very comfortable stay. There is a free public parking nearby and I could always find a spot even during high season. Nice boutique hotel in the small town of Roses. In a residential area, the hotel is close to supermarket and the local market and there is a big parking right in front of it. Staff are super helpful and do everything to make your stay pleasant. It's relatively far from the water front, ~5 minutes walk. I would recommend if you're looking for the place to stay in Roses.

I wss there for just a night because a sportive event. Peiple in the front desk very friendly , they gave us the oportunity to use the room for a shower after the race , to be honest really good after run a whole mountain marathon. We stayed at the hotel for a week. Very good location, facing the sea. The staff is very welcoming, both in the hotel and in the restaurant. The hotel accepts dogs. Plenty of choice for breakfast. A drop-off point is placed in front of the hotel to be able to drop off luggage. Free parking 5 minutes on foot (be careful Sunday market day!)

When I arrived I was very tired, having spent the day exploring Roses (Espagna), eating in town (just about 200m from the beach) surrounded by the Pyrenees mountains - breathtaking. Anyway, all my tiredness faded away once I settled in my room, opened my curtains and my balcony windows...

Nice 2 star hotel with great view of the city. City centre can be reached by foot in 10 minutes. Hotel is simple but clean, rooms are nice, not spectacular but value for money. Staff is friendly, check in was quick. No air conditioning but fan. Pool is big and clean with plenty of sun chairs and some umbrellas for shade. Overall satisfied.

Excellent service and very friendly people. We could charge our car in the parking below the hotel which made our stay much more relaxed

The hotel is ideally located next to the road which goes to Cadaquès in the quiet countryside, and less than 2 km from the sea. The building has a lot of exterior charm. We had already been there 11 years ago, but it is a shame that this hotel has aged and so have the room facilities due to lack of maintenance and modernization. The room: To save energy all electricity is cut off when the card is removed...

Very beautiful farmhouse, lovely setting with a beautiful swimming pool. For room n14 can accommodate 3 people, very large room, bathroom very large but not practical (no heating, the bathtub with jets a little dated but it is not a spa, the photos are very misleading. And the bathtub faucet is positioned at head level! Who knows 🙄...)No shutters, window in the roof which lets in the daylight, as well...

Located 1 km from Roses, this hotel in a period farmhouse surrounded by trees offers comfortable and well-equipped rooms. Parking, a beautiful swimming pool. breakfast (buffet) on the pleasant terrace.

Staff very polite and helpful. Can be improved simply by having some cups and tea/coffee and a kettle in the room.

Really good security, only lets people who stay at the hotel access the rooms.

The service is amazing, everybody is kind, and do whatever they can to help. They know the area, give you tips about places, etc. However, the pillows are alwful and the bathrooms could be improved a lot. Although they have more than enough space, the showers are very small, with curtains that let the water go everywhere and soak the floor... without shelves to place shampoo, soap, and stuff, no hooks...

Great value, friendly, clean hotel, parallel to the sea-front, but quiet. Basic, functional rooms with a good bathroom, all very clean. Very decent breakfast and friendly staff. Roses is well worth exploring outside the main tourist season when it's very busy and mainstream. Hotel Carmen is a very good place to stay.

This is a little, very clean and comfortable hotel. It’s totally renewed. Breakfast is super. You’ll find very very kind persons at the reception and the service is very good. From the hotel you walk only two minutes to the beach. The beach is free. We discovered Cap Creus with a lot of little bays, we visited the museum of Gaudí in Figueres, that is only 30 minutes far from the hotel, by car, and...

I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Carmen. The room was very clean and confortable. The location is perfect on a quiet street near the beaches and close to shops and restaurants. There are also a couple of free public parking lots near by. Be sure to order the breakfast buffet which was a great deal and delicious.

Nice hotel and good location. Friendly staff. Lovely beach. A slight into the town centre for shopping/nightlife however also plenty of small eateries close by. A particular mention to a lovely small French wine and tapas place close by the hotel. Good entertainment in the hotel too.

we had a balcony with seaview , that was really good . there are many diner options surrounding the hotel. the small swimming pool is placed strangely , as in a shop window.... do not understand. the breakfast was not super , the coffee was old the bread hard.

We had a view on the sea which was nice, however it was extremely noisy as every night a group is playing songs until midnight just below the sea-view rooms

Hotel Cala Joncols must be the most beautiful and isolated hotel in Catalunya. If you are looking for somewhere unique and quiet, this is the place. The location, room, food and service exceeded our expectations. We stayed at this hotel at pre season - mid of May 2022. And this place is really amazing! If you intend to drive there, you should not trust GPS Navigation - you will get lost - as we did. Better to ask front desk for guidance - or for a SUV or Boat transfer to the hotel. The access road is unpaved and rough. We booked a room with balcony and free view to the wonderful bay. An amazing drive takes you to an amazing hotel. The price point keeps the clientele to a nice level. Perfect seaside hotel. Beautiful secluded beach, great food and plenty of things to do wether you like peacefulness or are willing to be more active. It is a bit on the pricey side and since it is secluded you have no other option...but then there aren’t many places that have the privilege of this location. We’ll definitely come back!
